    It’s taken a little longer than I wanted to get a video out this week, I hadn’t even planned for it to be this one as such, things change though. With a gap in the weather we made a break for it and took the finished Tamiya Pajero 2023 for a slide around in the mud , which was fun. I hope you’ll join me in checking it out. :)

    Love the detail on that hard body. The first scratch always gets to me. After that, i just enjoyed the model

    Awesome video Andy and greetings from Hollister, California. My local hobby store had three of them. I bought ALL three of them lol 😂. They were priced under $100 and I thought this was odd. The Pajero is indeed quirky but cool at the same time. The Midnight Pumpkin and Unimog 406sells for $189 (U.S. dollar) and the Lunch Box sells for $159 and the Pajero was $98…….. CW-01 chassis with the added plus of CVA oil dampers and ESC. The Dampers separately (ITEM# 50520
    RC CVA SHORT SHOCK UNIT SET II) are $28 retail alone and that’s for two shocks and you need two. The HobbyWing THW 1060 Brushed Motor ESC (most current USA Tamiya r/c kits have this ESC) retails for $30. Knowing this was a no-brainer to buy all three of the Pajero kits. Now I have the parts I need to rebuild my Lunch Box plus oil dampers and new ESC lol.

      Hey hey , hope your well Mark? As you know cw01’s are great fun , this one’s a bit more tippy than a lunchbox but still loads of fun, it’s only when you clip on the body that it becomes more unstable. Cheers fella take care

    Interesting to know it’s a hard body and pre painted. I didn’t actually realize that. So good to know! I like the tires but I think their size will lend it to rolling a lot more.

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hiya fella hope your well. Yep much like the original pajero it’s a hard body , indhh I don’t realise it was pre painted either just though it would come white. It does roll and the tyres don’t help, but on loose or soft ground it’s good fun

  • @RCBirds

    Thanks for ahosing Andy. I like that thy put oil filled shocks into the kit. For a better wheelie ability you'll need bigger wheels on the car. But all in all s great car.

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you :) yes I agree, was very pleased Tamiya included the oil shocks in the kit. It does wheelie easily just not as well when on soft muddy ground . Glad you like it , take care

      @andyrobinsonrc2480  9 месяцев назад +1

      I love it Martin, it’s probably a little more prone to tipping with those wheels on but it’s still good fun

    Looks pretty good, perhaps take a look at trying too fit these wheels onto the Tamiya Subaru Brat if it's possible too mount on there.
    Maybe with minor modification like mounting on the blackfoot or monster beetle front knuckles would allow it on that chassis.

  • @PeteWylieRC
    @PeteWylieRC 9 месяцев назад +1

    Hey nice one Andy. Looks really nice and a bit of a change from the Lunchbox. Tamiya used to sell something very similar with Ford Ranger wheels although it was a bit lower slung, kit 58044. Nice to see this new version 👍👍

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Pete , I probably would have done a lunchbox if the pajero hadn’t been released, as I’d not built that chassis for well over 10 years. Kit58044 was the Mitsubishi pajero in a rally style body with the ranger/brat type wheels n tyres also you could only mount a 6v hard pack at the top, back if the chassis. Cheers again :)

    Beautiful car, great review and filming! Thank you for your effort. I really like this quirky looking variant of this car. I have the big wheeled CW-01 white Montero, so I will probably pass on this one. You can see a running video of it on my channel. But I am eager to get Squish Van. Cheers.

    Interesting to see it comes with a wheelie bar as there wasnt one shown in the running photage, publicity shots and showroom floor vids published officially.
    When i ordered mine i stripped down and started rebuilding another cw01 to leave out the lift parts, intending to go for the look and feel of the original Pajero from back in the day, will use the chassi that comes in the Pajero kit to make another stock cw01 with lunchbox/pumpkin 2-in-1 mounts to replace the one i ripped apart.

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  9 месяцев назад

      I never even thought about it not coming with a wheelie bar I just presumed it did with it being a cw01 chassis , mind you before this I’ve only had lunchbox and pumpkins

  • @AddamsPlayground

    I like the truck a lot, not sold on those tires at all. I did not even thing of them being able to be used on the hoppers though so that makes it a bit more interesting! It will be months before I see any in stock here though so I have time! I enjoyed hearing your assistant camera crew there in the video! LOL! Take care Andy and you may have changed my mind on getting this one!

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hey Addam cheers for watching , the body is really cool and I’m a Landy fan ;) the wheels are odd but I like em and they are an alternative frog/hopper wheel, that’s a bonus! That’s the first time he’s made a noise on camera 😆 it’s that or don’t film at the moment. Be good to see what you do with it if you pull the trigger ;) take care

      Hello hope your well. I think your son will enjoy it. It’s fun to drive and it’s very much like a lunchbox , maybe slightly less stable but still good fun , I’ve liked mine so far

    Would this be suitable for an 8 year old?

    • @andyrobinsonrc2480
      @andyrobinsonrc2480  9 месяцев назад

      It’s big and chunky and will take a lot of knocks, the plus side is everything is replaceable or can be fixed. Maybe look at the Tamiya lunchbox or pumpkin , it’s the same chassis as the pajero but comes with bigger chunkier tyres. Hope that helps. Alternatively look at a Tamiya Grasshopper
