I was there 2 weeks ago for the youth challenge, and even for that 60-70 people it was way too overcrowded. I am from Hungary, so I heard bad things about the venue before, but never expected this bad. Safe to say though the other venues for WDF events are fine. When I saw you are coming I knew it’s gonna be an interesting video.
Torromilinos festival was exactly the same this year very very rude when asking how long to wait. Winners marked yes you heard correctly winners marked so some people were marking and being called on at the same time. The adc blows them all out the water for set up and how well ran it is.
Great video Matt, such a shame that WDF aren't scouting these places out before hand. I think if they did they wouldn't use that location. Good to see what you go through as a WDF player though. 🤞🏼 You keep that momentum going and the confidence stays and keep building those ranking points 👍🏼🎯
As always excellent vid Mr E - that venue was a tough gig. The Darts Club at the leisure centre on the other hand was a gem of a find, good luck to them - fantastic venue 👍🎯🍻
Wow that place sounds like a ball to play darts at. Also very friendly to..lol When i have to throw my darts at a tree to practice i will be throwing them in it's case and heading home. That is just crazy. I am surprised you stayed there Matt.
Hi Mathew ! First congratulations for your coming back to life gamewise, . Second, I would like to ask a question to which you might have previously answered in one of your videos, so let me know whether you did so ans give me some hint on how to find it :) regarding a rule : I've always thought that if you walked over the oche, your throw was considered as being finished (unless to pick up a not thrown on purpose dart). But I've seen Ritchie Burnett "falling" over the oche after having thrown a dart,, and regain his place behind the oche and throw what was going to be the match winning dart. Is it just a PDC rule ? Or is it the same in Non PDC ? Thanks !
It’s funny you mention the heat being 33 as hot. I thought englanders loved it hot. I visited London in October and every establishment had the up to like 26 while it was around 13 outside. Where I am we keep inside around 22-23. It was 38 outside here last weekend.
Its all personal preference really regarding heat, I hate it personally but some people love it. Id sit in the shade where the mrs would be out in the sun
@@Edgartvdarts cheers mate. That's what I thought. Tolled the marker, they shouldn't do that after the match. They then called me something not very nice and walked off. I won't be back
A “reputable” organization like the WDF (I used that term loosely) should be embarrassed and find it totally unacceptable for such bush league conditions. More so for someone like yourself, a former PDC pro, who knows what proper playing conditions should be. Watch out for those bar sharks 🦈 🍺
Hi Matt, potentially dumb question here. How do you take your darts on flights? Presuming you just take carry on luggage to minimise cost/time waiting around post flights…
12:06 I played a guy and he beat me then decided to leave so I got a bye. I was confused nut quite angry how I didn’t really need to play the game if he was going to leave after the game no matter what
Will those trees still be there next year after having darts thrown at them and allowing insects and disease to enter the pinholes? No one thought of that did they.
What a bloody diva your not in the PDC this is amateur darts it's been the same for years. Ask the older players. It's land locked so there's no bloody sharks

Sharks in Lake Balaton ... that's a good one! It's always fun for locals to scare strangers - especially if it's a tough wrestler ...
These travelogue videos are my favorite. Very interesting to see what it is like to travel and play in different cities and venues.

Actually loled
Great chatting to you Matt over the weekend unlucky with that 131 in the semis, best of luck for rest of the season 👌

They should hold it at that leisure centre next time - miles better! Why did they select such an awful venue? Shocking.

Thanks again for the amazing content Matt! I've been to lake Balaton in the 70's, not much dart there then😂
Think you've been more than polite with that venue review🤣 does the wdf have someone checking these venues? Or is it probably just a volunteer?
they really need to have a rep at every event from now on I truly believe that
Have you heard that they're gonna remake the Jaws film, in Hungary!
Yeah I was about to start in it
“We’re gonna need a bigger dartboard…”
You can check the no box on playing there again I reckon huh?
33C 😂😂😂😂 I’d kill for it to be that temp in America last week. At least we have AC. All love, Mr. TV
Finally mashed up all my EdgarTV flights. Now they’re toys for the cats
Matt i just love these videos ♥️

When people think of the glamorous life of a sportsperson Matt this is not what they imagine!
I was watching live stream noticed sumat was going on in your match with Daniel Racoveanu
33c not that bad it's normally way hotter than that in Budapest, of course coming from the UK you are going to struggle with it.
We are defo not use to it 🤣
Hi Matthew. I have a question. In a local darts competition, are Markers allowed to tell a player how to finish a combination?
Can say what’s left but not how to do it
@@Edgartvdarts cheers mate. That's what I thought. Tolled the marker, they shouldn't do that after the match. They then called me something not very nice and walked off. I won't be back
jesus...from winning on the world championship stage to this.. feel for Edgar
worst yet from playing in the PDC to the WDF, I mean very few players starts in the PDC and return to the BDO/WDF
Ive had more issues in Bars minding my own than in the water lol
So would you be able to say you've now played lakeside?
at christmas yes
I think it was a joke...
@@maxdecimus13Speaking of jokes, the WDF Lakeside is the biggest joke in professional darts, nowhere near the standard of the PDC!!!
@anthonymatute6057 that's a hot take....
Wow. How did someone sign off on this being a ranked event?

@@Edgartvdarts ah thanks, rules out the carry on cheat code then ☹️
Before I watch the full video.. did you lose early?
Were you throwing at the tree Matt 😂
Don’t risk the points

I have an idea for a roll up dartboard that can be attached to a tree 🌲 . Dragons Den here I come …
I’m in
Reference Zak who’s a bag carrier who averages 50-60 😂
Shark? LOL, Its a landlocked nation with a lake hundreds of miles to the nearest ocean
Throwing darts at trees….unbelievable 😢
That’s what happens when you play in the WDF. The WDF doesn’t care one bit about darts and is so amateur compared to the PDC.
Throwing darts at trees!
Shark attack? You've been spending too much time with Kevlar
hahahahaha true ha
I've been to local open tournaments with a better set up. They should be ashamed😢
I know it's hot but surely a dress code should be in place.
Looks like Sunday Morning pub darts
WDF is pub darts (just like the BDO). Alexandra Palace is the home of world darts!!!
Why would you want a dress code, just throw your darts bro.
@@Swarm_ Well the PDC does have a serious dress code policy…
No dress code?
15 minutes in the life of a whinging pom. Had you won the tournament you would have loved the venue.
WDF being bush league? Some mistake surely?
The WDF literally is bush league!!! The PDC is where world class darts is at!!!

WDF is literally amateur darts (just like the BDO), the PDC is where the best darts is and where the best players come to become darts superstars.
Yes but he showed you a leisure centre that was literally about 10x better than the actual venue that was selected.
