The key to his shooting motion is timing. Its not that hard to imitate his hand position and his set point. Whats hard is the timing. A lot of you guys are wondering how he shoots so far without changing his form and losing accuracy. The reason he can shoot so deep and is still accurate when doing so is because of how he uses his feet and glutes. You're not supposed to bend your knees and get as low as you can, that would ruin your accuracy, increase your chances of getting blocked, and allow the defender to react to your shot quicker. Your arms and wrist are only for accuracy, your legs are for power, so don't go to the gym working out your arms more. Step one, when in your shooting form, keep your heels off the ground at least an inch or an inch and a half off the ground or more depending on your height. Step two, DO NOT bend your knees too much. Imagine your legs as a flat plane, your knees being the vertex, bend your knees at about 160 degrees only. It should NEVER be anywhere near 90 degrees how some coaches tell you to do. Step two is crucial to step three. Step 3, squeeze your glutes as your are stepping/hopping into your shot, which ever is more comfortable. I know you're a little skeptical of when I say DO NOT bend your knees too much because every coach you've ever had has told you that your power comes from your legs and to get that power, you should bend your knees. But what you heard is wrong. Coaches don't know anything about anatomy. When you bend your knees, the power you are getting comes from your quads, but why would you use your quads to shoot if your glutes are more powerful? Shooting while contracting your glutes will give you more power, take less time than bending your knees, which gives the defender less time to react to your shot, giving the defender less chance to block you. This will also increase your arc because your body and arms will be going in an upwards motion. I hope this helps with your range and power issues! And don't criticize this before you try it and follow the steps correctly. If you notice when Steph is shooting in practice how he barely jumps up yet still shoots far, that's because he uses power from contracting his glutes, which gives him tons of power without much effort.
Sargint Reznor No, that doesn't mean you should put most of your weight on your right foot. What I mean about glutes is that you contract your glutes as you begin to shoot. You won't jump that high, but you'll get a lot of power from your glutes.
I looked up the word glute and it turns out it's short for gluteus, is it a thigh muscle? That's what Google says but I can't imagine shooting with my thighs lol
something I've also noticed is how relaxed and cool he is, I've found that missing often results from overthinking, which is exactly the opposite of what Steph is doing, it's like shooting is second nature for him, incredible.

Just wanted to let you know, I watched your video like a 100 times since when this was released. I was mainly a inside to mid range shooter. I literally went to the park and took 1000 shots a week using the tips i learned from this video. I gotten to a point that in the mens league i played in I had a game i hit 9 three pointers in a game and another 8 threes two other games . This video single handily changed my shooting for the good. Thank you
Stephen Curry may very well be the greatest shooter of all time. His shot is so smooth, it never stops or hitches. This gives him speed to shoot out of tough situations quickly. His follow through is high which gives him a high arc, even from long distances. This maximizes the area of the rim which the ball can pass through, which heavily increases accuracy. He's so deadly, not only is he making more threes than anyone else in the span of a season, he's also doing this at a very high percentage. Stephen is the NBA'S greatest shooter, there is no doubt about it.
I actually shoot with more accuracy than Steph. I'm not trying to brag but I can out shoot Bird, Curry, Reggie...you name it. My percentage is one of the best on the planet. Who wants me next on Playstation?
Best shooting advice is this: shoot whatever way feels comfortable for you. Curry is the best, but imitating his form guarantees you nothing. He has shot this way for so long, so many times, it's carved into his DNA. He will always pull up like that without thinking. Shoot however you want, just be sure to do it for hours a day and you'll have a solid jumper regardless of your form. Awesome video though, interesting stuff. Crooked feet and all, this guy just doesn't miss. Impressive truly
There definitely are some things you can take from the way Steph shoots but yeah it matters on how you shoot, everyone is different and the main reason why Curry is so good is his perfect size, while it's mainly talent that makes him good unlike alot of other NBA players that rely on their build, Curry is able to combine his incredible talent and perfect size to make the best shooter anyone has seen
@@Vince-ko9bj yeah you're correct, I was a really good shooter before puberty, I then stopped playing basketball and now I am back playing for fun I am 18 years old! Great video! I've always been a decent free throw shooter around the 78-79%. I tried moving my hand more towards the inside of the ball and today I made 97-100 at practice and at one point 54 in a row!
6:58 seems to me the most important point in the whole vid. He fully extends his arm until it is perfectly straight, and HOLDS IT THERE, which automatically causes the correct wrist follow through. He calls it 'the gooseneck'.

+Xx_MrFister_xX Agree with the replies above. Also, shooting square to the basket with elbow tucked and releasing square to the top of your head, puts your shoulder and wrist in an un-natural position. your wrist natural hangs square to your shoulder and your hand hangs squarely from your wrist. So aligning your feet as Steph does, helps to maintain all of that
Something important to remember is that repetition is just as important as form. Curry's form is not what most shooting teachers would teach younger kids. He more than likely is the best shooter in the game because of repetition. He found a form that worked for him and does it the exact same way over and over again.
I've wanted to be in NBA player for a while now. There's been many obstacles in my path. From having a pulled tendon, broken thumb, numerous sprained ankles, tore bicep, etc. It's been a difficult journey so far, but I put as much effort into it as possible. Everyday I feel like I can't do it. I hate to ask it of you guys, but do you mind encouraging me? Even giving me an uplifting reply is so helpful. Sorry if I wasted your time. But I am thankful for the encouragement that you might have in store for me. God bless you guys.
the magic comes throuhg the snap of the wrist. Everything else is there to maintain the same routine and ballance. But the wrist is where he gets his distance from. Of course in order to maintain the same routine over and over again he has been through countless sessions. If you watch the E.60 strip you will find Curry one year practising on his shot to raise it from his waiste above his right eye. Progress is much faster when you are young but discipline very rare at this age. I myself am going through a daily shooting routine of about 1-2h recorded on film to observe my form and monitor my progress. Of course in order to keep up the form throughout the whole of the game you need physical as well as mental strength. I am strongly heading for 50 so why am I donig this now? 1) I have fallen in love with BB very late - just about 10 years ago. 2) The game is only fun if you have the right technique. If you play the PG position these days more than ever you need a good shot from the outside, otherwise you can not get past your defender. He will stay clear of you and stop your drive. But if your shot is money in the bank he has to come close and then with one fast step you can drive by. BB is a game where you need at least 2 options in offence in order to be difficult to guard.
Axel Baumgarten That's awesome man! Never too late to learn something new or pick up a new hobby. Age really doesn't matter if you are willing to put in the time and effort. "Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard."
Axel Baumgarten No, the distance doesn't come from the wrist. The range comes from the turn of his body, giving him more power when he releases the ball.
Axel Baumgarten I tried to shoot like NBA players, not just Steph Curry but I can't because I can't release the ball in the air like them, I can only raise the ball up to my shot pocket before jumping, otherwise if I jump and then raise the ball up, I can't have enough power for my shot. Anyone can help me?
+SadisticSarcasm no it comes from the legs not a turn how would that generate energy its the flow or energy from the legs to the arm which gives range and it's all almost one motion so the energy can flow
Paul Adeleke I never pointed out where the power comes from. Everyone knows that power comes from down under, but that ability to shoot accurately farther than most NBA players is from the turn of his body. You can have all the power in your legs, but if your body is as stiff as a board, then don't expect to be a shooter at all.
I've been working on my Curry jumpshot and 93% of my shots are going in and I swish some of them too. I don't even know how this is possible and I started doing this form 2 days ago.
Dubs #30 And Bulls #23 that happened to me when im still using the Russell Westbrook shooting form im only a mid range shooter and when the school bball finals i tried this shooting form and i only missed one 3pt.
You guys are saying youve tried as if its something you buy & use? You guys obviously arent shooting like you think you are if you juss " tried it " & it worked right away..
Go for it bro. I may be wrong but im just saying.. Record yourself next time if you havent already to see your form. If it automatically worked for you right away then you are very lucky haha
Quite honestly, Curry's jumper goes against many aspects of textbook form: shoulders/feet not square, doesn't go straight up and down, begins his form at is waist, etc. However, it's probably better for the average Joe to shoot like him since it draws a bit more power out of the stroke, making it easier for guys who aren't super big strong guys (like Curry himself) to shoot from farther. Either way, can't argue with the results!
I think it's because at a young age, he wasn't tall and said he was taught to shoot from his hips to get the extra leverage to get the ball in when he was interviewed on ESPN
If you look at any nba players' form, no good shooters shoot up and down with their feet squared to the basket, it is actually beneficial to turn your feet and sweep and sway on your jump shot. The sweep and sway gives more arc on the shot and the turn aligns your elbow with the basket.
+Soundtallica in Chains And thats probably because most of these "textbook" forms are exactly what they are : text book, and quite outdated/wrong. Look up "Pro shot shooting system" if you have not already, they really sold me on the "new" more accurate way of teaching shooting, reflecting what great shooters actually do (the turn, dip, sweep and sway etc...).
This is just amazing, Steph has been my favourite player since coming to the league and I've always wondered what he does to be a sniper like he is now.. now I know what his methods are, and Ima use it as my base for my shooting form, THANK YOU SPLASH LAB!
He also keeps his elbows much closer together than any other shooter. Check out other shooters' forms. Their elbows are not even close. Durant, Redick, Klay, Korver, etc. Their shooting elbows may be in line but their guide arms are out. I tried it and it greatly improved my shooting.
People say that the thumb flick on the guide hand is bad, but you can clearly see here that Curry does it to a degree. Now that I think of it, a couple of other legendary NBA shooters, Ray Allen and Reggie Miller, do it too. Kevin Love is a good shooter and he also flicks his thumb a lot in his shot. Is the thumb flick really that bad? Seems to work for the the three best shooters in NBA history...
Soundtallica in Chains Nearly everyone thumb flicks with the off hand. Adds power plus stability as the ball traverses the air. Key is not to overdo it because that will create a shooting form that is difficult to recreate on a consistent basis.
Soundtallica in Chains i mean i dont know if he really "thumb flicks" i know a friend who tucks his thumb when shooting but he actually doesn't push the ball with it
+SuperToasty I think it has to do more with the ball going more on a straight path, the off hands job is to basically balance the ball so it goes straight. When you tuck your thumb in, it gives it a small forward motion that syncs with the shooting hand. It's a small detail and honestly doesn't have that much importance because I haven't found any other great shooters that consistently do this with their off hand.
@@DrProfessorWeed Oh really no other great shooters? I'm not sure but are ray allen, reggie miller, kyrie irving, jr smith, kevin love, paul george great shooters?
@@ericxu1242 All the guys you named also including Curry have developed this technique over time. I definitely feel differently about it now but even so, much more important things to worry about in terms of shot mechanics than tucking your thumb on your off hand. Even Coach Nick on bballbreakdown said this in his recent videos, it's not something you really need to spend time on.
following ball with your eyes to the rim is important cause it feels great and also I think we as a shooter have this crazy magic to keep the ball in its proper course by looking at it and using our crazy psychic powers to make the ball go in, is it just me?
Yesterday I hit 4 threes in one half and I noticed im also looking at the ball when I shoot. I never noticed it before. We still only scored 37 Points lmao
+Okita Sougo it's really easy to get used to that form, you just gotta practise it countless times balless at home and it comes natural once you try it out
I feel like the center of the ball is above his right eye when it's at his set point to get more power from his feet stance turned to the left, keeping the ball off his left hand, and for accuracy
Jarewuo 23 Force doesn't come from your wrist,it came from your legs. You can do a floppy wrist but if you pull the force from your legs,it won't be an air ball or short ball. I Hope my advice help :)
So in my opinion if you're pretty quick and have good handles this shot works well. I had to switch it up a little for me but I've been practicing for awhile and my shooting has gotten wayy better since I redid my form.
I taught this form to some of my friends and they dramatically improved their jumpshot. I use it myself (since 2013) and my jumpshot is pure because of it. This form balances your shot and body so that you don't shoot left or right too much
no. Everyone is taught by their coaches etc to shoot elbow straight, feet squared, ball on fingertips and not on palm. But then the greatest shooters hardly do all those things. Steph Curry shoots without squaring feet to the basket and rests in on his palm. Larry Bird, Ray Allen (among others) also had/has unorthodox shot forms. Its about whats comfortable to u.
Ur right me and all my friends are good shooters we all have pretty decent form but most importantly were comfortable with it and since we've been shooting like this for almost 5 to 6 years we all have insane muscle memory so we shoot consistently the same
hey i got to say to everybody who's always are looking to shot like curry please stop with it because he's the only that can shoot like this because this is the way of his shooting form, and the best of way for him so if you're trying to shooting like him you should stop and start to found the best way for you that's my tip for you all thnks
venha se divertir com emily vitoria Emily vitoria All people can’t just find their shot my friend. That’s probably why they maybe went here to be guided on a consistent shot.
Amazing analysis and breakdown. Great video editing as well. Please help Steph with his shooting right now. His shot isn't the same as it was earlier this season.
so basicly he does everything that people in tutorials say its wrong example :wresting it on the palm :D that just shows shoot it the way you are comfortable
lol. I know right. I remember getting that whole line back in high school. Coach actually made us wear these things on our hands so we couldn't rest the ball on our palms. Awkward as hell. Felt like those things were made specifically for someone with Michael Jordan size hands. Really exaggerated the fingertip bs
Oh....and come to find out those shooting palm things caused more problems than they solved. In order to keep the ball from resting on them you couldn't spread ur fingers as much as u were suppose to.
lol I bet Steph Curry didn't even know all of this crap. The key to becoming a great shooter is to keep practicing. Naturally, you'll know what to correct and what works for you
His dad taught him how to shoot and he probably had a ton of trainers teaching him how to shoot. There's no way a kid could learn how to shoot like this all by himself.
+Iymriet “N” Urrong yes this is true but still repetition is the father of learning. Even with all the trainers nobody has or has had Steph's form even his dad. They may have have him a few pointers but he developed his own technique.
youre probably not a good shooter. in shooting, technique is more important than practice. steph can not practice for very long and still shoot accurately
+TaeNyFan how are you supposed to use technique without becoming used to it? So if I study Steph curry's shot to the tee, I'll be able to go to the court and shoot like him on day one?
Using his very own technique no one will still ever shoot like him, he uses his offhand for the accuracy but the Power is somewhat unexplainable, still not telling how he gets the ball in the net, how to have the exact power to get the ball in the net from the three-point line or Deep 3 or half court😂
He shoots on the way up - he gets most of his power from his legs. Shooting like that you'd think would increase your chances of getting blocked but it doesn't because it quickens your release. It's really all in the legs and using that upward momentum.
Just to let everyone know. No one can have the same shot. Even if you are able to master the way Curry's shot looks to the smallest detail you will probably never be able to hit as many shots as him. Because everyone is built differently, everyone moves differently, everyone sees differently. It all comes down to practice and finding your own shot and your own rhythm.

Great analysis! Very detailed and informative. Thanks for doing this!
thumbs up and subscribed.
keep up the good work man
name Thanks man!
Best "how to shoot like steph curry video" im shooting way better now 💯
Awesome! Practice hard but more importantly, practice SMART. Terrific video.
LeBron is prob watching this video rn. Preparing for Game 7
Lol
He won tho
You should take your word back just embarrased yourself
+Prestige _ right smh at gsw
L
U should make more vids man this is great content
I've been working on my Curry jumpshot and 93% of my shots are going in and I swish some of them too. I don't even know how this is possible and I started doing this form 2 days ago.
Dubs #30 And Bulls #23 same here I'm ungaurdable
jahsua jenkins nice bro hope you get better at basketball
Dubs #30 And Bulls #23 saaame I started using this jumper and it goes STRAIGHT in not even hitting the rim
Yeah most of my shots used to hit rim then go in, but now they swish and even if they don't I get so many lucky bounces.
Dubs #30 And Bulls #23 that happened to me when im still using the Russell Westbrook shooting form im only a mid range shooter and when the school bball finals i tried this shooting form and i only missed one 3pt.
Started using this form and I make so many more shots, not just 3pt, but mid to close range, always struggled to get a high arc but not now!
3:35 - Hand Position , I found that give you more power to shoot a wide range easily.
Just a tip.. just because this form works for Curry doesn't mean its going to automatically work for you
Happy Jordan Yea definitely! Thanks for pointing that out!
Tyler Hanby Yee
You guys are saying youve tried as if its something you buy & use? You guys obviously arent shooting like you think you are if you juss " tried it " & it worked right away..
Go for it bro. I may be wrong but im just saying.. Record yourself next time if you havent already to see your form. If it automatically worked for you right away then you are very lucky haha
but it worked for me
This really teaching me something 🏀
Nice!
Kyle Korver is the closest shooter with feet towards the basket, and he isn't even square.
Soundtallica in Chains all of the rules you mention are trash...new mechanics have been found that work way better
Soundtallica in Chains Kyrie and Jr do too and Westbrook
Soundtallica in Chains Nearly everyone thumb flicks with the off hand. Adds power plus stability as the ball traverses the air. Key is not to overdo it because that will create a shooting form that is difficult to recreate on a consistent basis.
Andre Novacaine they just have a shit ton of practice with it
Soundtallica in Chains i mean i dont know if he really "thumb flicks" i know a friend who tucks his thumb when shooting but he actually doesn't push the ball with it
It’s only bad if the thumb flick causes side misses, the less you have to worry about side misses the better of a shooter you are set to be
people studying this video.. like " i need to look good in the gym next week"
Nah I’m just trying to get better lol
Can you please explain why he tucks his thumb in on his off hand. Does he use it to push the ball? Does it even touch the ball?
+SuperToasty I think it has to do more with the ball going more on a straight path, the off hands job is to basically balance the ball so it goes straight. When you tuck your thumb in, it gives it a small forward motion that syncs with the shooting hand. It's a small detail and honestly doesn't have that much importance because I haven't found any other great shooters that consistently do this with their off hand.
Basketball FanForLife Thanks for the response man
@@DrProfessorWeed Oh really no other great shooters? I'm not sure but are ray allen, reggie miller, kyrie irving, jr smith, kevin love, paul george great shooters?
@@ericxu1242 All the guys you named also including Curry have developed this technique over time. I definitely feel differently about it now but even so, much more important things to worry about in terms of shot mechanics than tucking your thumb on your off hand. Even Coach Nick on bballbreakdown said this in his recent videos, it's not something you really need to spend time on.
So detailed, organized, and factual.
I didn't copy the form but instead of listening from the tips and how to shoot thanks really it help me to get better on my shootingform
Great vid. Only thing missing: his jump. How high? Where does he land? Jump straight up or fall away? Etc.
matthewdisles He lands forward from where he jumps initially
Dont you have two eyes?
can you do james harden for tips for leftys
TJ Bouchard Yee
Splash Lab thanks and when will the perfect form video be up

@Slapsh Lab, Thanks man I beat my friend yesterday on a 1 on 1 game
Happy to hear man!
There's something so graceful about the way he shoots
Thank you coach it helped me a lot in the Klay Thompson video
Wow his eyes do follow the ball path! The only others I know who do that are Michael Jordan and Larry Bird. That's it! I'm trying it!
Ray Allen does as well
Dirk does it
Now I'm really doing that!
Kml I even do it, almost unconsciously
+astrotony LeBron does that... jks
Wow this is fucken gold...great job
Martin Lillard Thanks alot man
it is im doing a science project that has to do with basketball and this video helped thanks
perfect practice makes u perfect,,, not just practice.
no one who ever play bball was a perfect bball player
H
Oh Gawd No he wasn't.
+tjbandz myplayer on 2k15 got that maxed out 99 cuh.
not funny.
Gonna try to start shooting like him, I think it will help cause my jump shot has become bad recently
This in my Playlist gonna keep practicing how too do this with or without a ball
following ball with your eyes to the rim is important cause it feels great and also I think we as a shooter have this crazy magic to keep the ball in its proper course by looking at it and using our crazy psychic powers to make the ball go in, is it just me?
Me too!!!
nosead gay
yeah igot that too
Yesterday I hit 4 threes in one half and I noticed im also looking at the ball when I shoot. I never noticed it before. We still only scored 37 Points lmao
+Black sports online lol
Have u finished your ". How to find your perfect form " yet?
Can u make a video on how to shoot in 1 motion, that stuff still confuse me
Quang Do Minh Yea! Almost done my man!
Splash Lab Hey man what happened with the project ? I thought we were going to receive an email or it is still not ready?
Stephen Curry, one of the most complicated shooting forms in the NBA
+Okita Sougo it's really easy to get used to that form, you just gotta practise it countless times balless at home and it comes natural once you try it out
+J guess so but it's easier to use the form you're comfortable with and improve it
Okita Sougo true but this one probably increases your overall percentage once you master it
+J true
fo real . to many steps
I feel like the center of the ball is above his right eye when it's at his set point to get more power from his feet stance turned to the left, keeping the ball off his left hand, and for accuracy
This video helped out so much! I had a game this morning, and i scored 30 points, almost half of them was 3pts
How to shoot like Stephen Curry:
You can't.
Just kiddin! This is one of the greatest Stephen Curry shot tutorials I've ever seen!!
Had me in the first half there
His leg looks like wood at 1:14
it does but might be mussle
Can you post a new shooting form because I want new video watch
Kk
+Splash Lab yeah you should start posting again your content was great and this video made me make the bball team
Luis james Reyes i
Thank you so much this really helped me make more 3 pointers now.
Best shot breakdown I've ever seen/heard.
Roy Jones Jr. Can't be touched nice choice for music can't go wrong with the fastest n arguably best boxer of all time
Braxton Williams Yup!
But you watched this video wtf
+bnd bbbsk Is there a misunderstanding?
Roy jones is not arguably the best boxer bruh lol he's not even top 10.
Braxton Williams This music is so nice
music is fire
Does anybody know how he gets his wrist that floppy when i try that i lose power on my shot
dont force ur fingers to point to the ground
Jarewuo 23 Force doesn't come from your wrist,it came from your legs. You can do a floppy wrist but if you pull the force from your legs,it won't be an air ball or short ball. I Hope my advice help :)
Basketball soul but then how come even if his wrist is floppy he doesnt get much lift in his shot
Basketball soul your advice helped alot tho ahhaha
I study this almost everyday this is helping me develop my shooting form & accuracy
So in my opinion if you're pretty quick and have good handles this shot works well. I had to switch it up a little for me but I've been practicing for awhile and my shooting has gotten wayy better since I redid my form.
its not about shooting form... its comfortability
Ur right me and all my friends are good shooters we all have pretty decent form but most importantly were comfortable with it and since we've been shooting like this for almost 5 to 6 years we all have insane muscle memory so we shoot consistently the same
you need to have the important things in form so it is decent but its mostly just consistency and how comfortable you are
Prince Bariring go back to playing minecraft white boy
Do the JR Smith shooting form
1:17 his leg tho
5:21 besides set point, most important part of the video. That's huge for power of your shot
This is the most detailed video I've ever seen about stephen curry shooting 😃.thanks man
He literally SNAPS! his wrist.
Truth - major power in his wrist
hey i got to say to everybody who's always are looking to shot like curry
please stop with it
because he's the only that can shoot like this because this is the way of his shooting form, and the best of way for him
so if you're trying to shooting like him
you should stop
and start to found the best way for you
that's my tip for you all
thnks
His father taught him how to shoot.
I always tell people who want to write in english correctly but can't that they should stop trying
venha se divertir com emily vitoria Emily vitoria All people can’t just find their shot my friend. That’s probably why they maybe went here to be guided on a consistent shot.
3:43 Illuminati confirmed!!!
LOL, I should've put the illuminati symbol
Amazing analysis and breakdown. Great video editing as well.
Please help Steph with his shooting right now. His shot isn't the same as it was earlier this season.
Great job best basketball shooting form video ever! Thanks so much
so basicly he does everything that people in tutorials say its wrong example :wresting it on the palm :D that just shows shoot it the way you are comfortable
In order to keep the ball from resting on them you couldn't spread ur fingers as much as u were suppose to.
w00d! ive never heard that you shouldnt rest the ball on your palm lol. doesnt make much sense to me
Dereck Dunn yea ikr coaches are just like us they hear something somewhere online etc.... and they implement it eaven tough its retarded
it does make sense if you seen a lot o
6:55 Westbrook: "I BELIEVE I CAN FLY!"
DANG MY SHOT WAS TRASH INTIL I GOT HERE NOW IM 🔥
+VANDAL DC SAVAGE i hope its gonna work for me too, cause im slowly starting to be mad as i cant score shit
Very good informative video Mr. Splash. You pointed out every little detail that I would never even think of when it comes to Curry's shooting form.
Thanks for the tips now I am going to use it when I am in the gym and I am going to practiced every day
I'm not gonna lie if u look at curry hand form he's throwing up the devil sign his right hand .
Yvonne Woods bruh how can he be illuminati if he writes bible passages on his shoe
InGoDI Trust
1. Curry is a Christian
2. Shut up
Your analysis' are next level. Your videos blow ShitMechanics, ISuckAtBasketballTV, and BBALLBRICKDOWN out of the water.
lol I bet Steph Curry didn't even know all of this crap. The key to becoming a great shooter is to keep practicing. Naturally, you'll know what to correct and what works for you
His dad taught him how to shoot and he probably had a ton of trainers teaching him how to shoot. There's no way a kid could learn how to shoot like this all by himself.
+Iymriet “N” Urrong
yes this is true but still repetition is the father of learning. Even with all the trainers nobody has or has had Steph's form even his dad. They may have have him a few pointers but he developed his own technique.
youre probably not a good shooter. in shooting, technique is more important than practice. steph can not practice for very long and still shoot accurately
its the same as the most hardworking student may not be score the best grades. the smarter student does
+TaeNyFan how are you supposed to use technique without becoming used to it? So if I study Steph curry's shot to the tee, I'll be able to go to the court and shoot like him on day one?
splash lab thanks so much !! It helped me a lot !! if u have many more videos of shooting !!
Great tips! I will share them to my collegues in Brazil!
60% of the people watching this are cavs bandwongers plus curry haters
Still finding the 'Dont Subscribe' button...
Hiep Pham Duc lol
Lol just kidding I subscribed
Using his very own technique no one will still ever shoot like him, he uses his offhand for the accuracy but the Power is somewhat unexplainable, still not telling how he gets the ball in the net, how to have the exact power to get the ball in the net from the three-point line or Deep 3 or half court😂
He shoots on the way up - he gets most of his power from his legs. Shooting like that you'd think would increase your chances of getting blocked but it doesn't because it quickens your release. It's really all in the legs and using that upward momentum.
Why'd ppl dislike this tf! Best breakdown channel on YT!
@Splash Lab when the other modules will BE added to your Shooting Programm
Just to let everyone know. No one can have the same shot. Even if you are able to master the way Curry's shot looks to the smallest detail you will probably never be able to hit as many shots as him. Because everyone is built differently, everyone moves differently, everyone sees differently. It all comes down to practice and finding your own shot and your own rhythm.
But why why i want to shoot like himT.T
damn this was actually really high quality. great work!
Most accurate and helpful vid about Steph curry shooting
Great video! clearly illustrated. Yep, Steph's shot looks natural & easy, but after many, many hours of practicing the right way.
Man, well done ! Thanks for making the video I have improved my jump shot so much thanks to you!! U just earned a new subscriber:)
