emcc04 I was with an airline summer camp and we went to the hangar (where there was a 787) and we were the first group to board, but the door was closed, so they let me open the door. It was quite heavy, and required quite a bit of force! The summer camp was with Thai Airways for your information.
Ditching procedure takes way too much time with all that curtain removal, but then again there would be probably no door or curtain after ditching so who cares LOL
Well I imagine it would be done before the ditching happens, so they have at least 10 minutes to prepare, and it looks like it would take like 30 seconds.

WHY DO I LIKE WATCHING THIS SO MUCH?
This is probably the fifth time I’ve watched this... and I’ve never flown a Q400, always flew an ATR. And only opened the door of a 787 before
Aiyaphol Kemapuckpong how did you get to open the door?
emcc04 you have a brain ,use it!

Dash-8 is my favorite plane
So when it’s really rainy, all that water collecting on the stairs will just fall in to the cabin when door is closed?
yes lol
At 3:19 then at 3:30 why is ditching dam back up?
Probably reusing the footage of normal opening of the cabin door from the inside.
She looks fine for her age
looks like a German lady to me
@@N145PM How about Latvian? This is Air Baltic after all.
First Step Is
*Check Seat Belt Sign off ,
*Check External Condition Safe ,
Then open the Door
Do you know if there's a video for the rear doors (2L and 2R)? I really want to see a video for thoes doors
Nico
You can watch the one for L1 and I the same thing
@@wingletproductions doors 2L and 2R are different to door 1L
So there is no emergency slide?
The Dash-8 Q400 is too close to the ground to be equipped with evacuation slides so it is equipped with integrated stairs on the passenger door.
What is the purpose of the ditching dam?
That's what I was about to ask too
to stop flooding of the aircraft which allows more time to escape
When she opens the door the ditching dam disappears
André Monstrare O.P they edited the video so they wouldn’t have to film multiple shots. But you’re right regardless.
Make a video about the back door please
Should be L1 door, not R1
s k they’ve fixed it, I remember that fail
@@william_aviation0145 It is L1 Door
Mr Sharath Gopalan Aiyangar yeah I said that
Copied that champion
Mr Sharath Gopalan Aiyangar can you please rephrase that.
Ditching procedure takes way too much time with all that curtain removal, but then again there would be probably no door or curtain after ditching so who cares LOL
T L If that takes too long, as it mentions no arming, if you just instantly open it that triggers the emergency stuff
