  • If you have found this video in early May 2022, these cars and bodies may stll be for sale in our eBay Store at: www.ebay.com/s...
If they have already found new homes, I think youmay still this video if you like vintage slot cars or great home slot car tracks.
The track featured in this video is our "Grand Prix". It is Carrera digital running in Analog Mode with an OmniSlotBox.com digital/analog switch. That sysytem allows us to run virtually any slot car on it. The lap length is 65 feet. Power is 20 Amps at 14 Volts. Digital controllers are Ramjets. For Analog, we like the adjustability of Slot.it SCP controllers to accommodate the very wide range of cars we run on this track. Analog timing is by Trackmate and it is set to announce lap times so you can get a sense of how quick cars are in our test drives. Typical stock Carrera lap times are about 5 seconds.
This track and several others are portable and available for events through NomadRaceways.com.
    Enjoy!

Thanks. I have been slot racing since 1965 and run on hundreds of tracks. This is certainly my favorite. It is smooth and sweepy with compound curves like a good wood track, but with the OmniSLotBox it can run digital as well as my broad collection of analog cars. It is fun to drive, easy to marshal, and does not damage my vintage cars . If you want a track like this I can design and supply all the bits to build one.

@@jimcunningham534 Hmmm , it takes a while to reach all these goals. Its also organic, like a real world track . It attracts attention , like feminine curves. Im hoping you might show some more intimate footage . Cheers from Australia.

I will be making more and better videos as I improve. I have two videos featuring the "GranPrix" track. Have you seen them? ruclips.net/video/QWFYVlHP9bM/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/LP1B1vt8BKU/видео.html

I have a four lane HO Scale 4 X 10 layout that I race on that is 50 feet long. I was not very interested in the larger scales, but I love what you have set up. I have Subscribed.

Thanks, Andrew I race HO also, but now I do so on this same track. I will do a video on that soon.

    Very nice
I have two 1/24 Monogram cars, one is an old Porsche 904 model kit that came with the slot car mountings, interior and wheel centres and I've found the correct Monogram chassis for it and the other one is an unused Scarab kit the chassis is assembled but the body hasn't been assembled or fitted to the chassis

"Thanks for sharing! That sounds like an amazing pair of cars. The Porsche 904 must be a real gem, especially with the correct Monogram chassis-it’s great you’ve restored it with such care. And an unused Scarab kit? That’s a rare find! It must be exciting to have these classic pieces of slot car history. Would love to see photos of your collection if you’re willing to share!"
