Well Vlad was the first and only 5 star servant that I ever got so he will always be special to me. Also great video :)
The story of how I got Vlad was during the first day of the game. My friend saw someone with an Altria/Artoria/Saber (whatever you want to call her) helper, and I decided to roll and a whim and said the following "Ohh boy! Let's waste my quartz and get garbage!" I rolled, and got Vlad. It was a glorious day. That was also the rise of my Berserker luck too.
I might also have some of that Berserker luck as well, because 2 ten rolls after i got Vlad, I got Herc lol.
I got Vlad on a yolo summon ticket, and I've never been happier. xD

Well, I've got Vlad quite recently, but I haven't really had the chance to use him. Until now. I'm using him for the Onigashima raids and, holy crap, he and Tamamo (especially Double Tamamo) are really wrecking some serious shit together.
With 30 sq, i got both vlad and tamamo no mae. I basically used my lifetime luck saving on this
That's the best part about Dracula, he's hard to use but he's also really fun to use. I always run him in a Vlad+Irisviel+Tamamo team and he's borderline immortal lol, good Arts DPS too

Barring special cases like stat only NPs or ones with demerits, all anti unit NPs have the same damage modifier after factoring in card type modification and all anti army will do the same. Interludes/strengthens also change this. So Vlad doesn't suffer at all from having an arts NP, packing above average NP damage due to having an interlude and it is better than having a buster NP barring the presence of a buster brave chain which we can agree he isn't built for even if his NP was buster. Yes, he needs a special team. However, I cannot emphasize enough that he loses his squishiness in such a team as Tamamo's all important CD reduction allows him to keep his buff up constantly and having an arts NP is what allows him to chain fire with the use of his NP feeding you a steady stream of crit stars. It is also worth noting that with vampirism, witchcraft, and Tamamo's CD reduction, you can basically deny an enemy from their NP almost entirely. Also, he doesn't pair too well with Jeanne at the moment. Vlad is centric around keeping the chain going and Jeanne's current self stun effectively endangers the snowballing. There's also the fact that she's a ruler and thus will suck all the stars away from Vlad. Running him with Hans is much better. Hans helps with star providing, making stars mean more due to increased crit damage, covers Vlad's butt for not having 3 arts cards because he can just charge to his NP to get a third arts card when needed, and has a lot star absorption. While he'll still take more than Vlad as zerks have low base star absorption, he won't lock Vlad out like Jeanne would. So other than Jeanne having a QAAAB with a NP, she is the worst possible choice to pair with Vlad and it a bad idea. Waver doesn't synergize with Vlad particularly well but works fine due to his own absurd level of power.
I also somewhat disagree with the notion that arts teams have an issue with damage. You won't typically end up with those absolutely huge damage turns with buster brave chains but arts teams firing off 1.5 NPs every turn creates a damage flow that's pretty significant. They're also less luck dependent than a team hoping for buster brave chains. Consider a battle with multiple large enemies and typically an arts team will clear it faster (though it kinda now boils down to Merlin + DPS) due to the NPs laying in more efficiently than lining up for one massive blow. Consider a battle with a singular boss and typically the arts team will clear it with comparable speed on average. The buster team would need to either have scope, use a command seal (which I consider to not be valid for comparison reasons, or build up the hard way which takes time, giving the arts team ample time to get in a massive amount of damage first. This is because arts teams can operate regardless of whose arts cards pop up. Buster teams will only exceed arts teams in damage significantly when they have a buster brave chain and even with 3 buster cards, this isn't terribly consistent without the aid of having an NP to make it a NPBB buster brave. Have a long fight and arts teams do not fall behind real buster teams in damage, Vlad or no Vlad. In fact, there's only 2 cases that push their DPS to crazy levels. 1. You go in with 1 unit or 2 units, 1 with taunt to die while your support carries you. This allows you to buster brave chain every single turn due to only having one unit. 2. You run an arts team with Merlin and one DPS buster. However, this isn't a testament to busters. It is a testament to the unreleased Merlin. Arts teams are the strongest objectively, both in terms of survival potential and damage output. Just switch a cog and they're highly aggressive. Vlad needs a specific type of team even among arts teams. However, arts teams in general basically have no real shortcoming other than needing to roll any 2 components of whatever combination you want. Luckily, Mashu and Hans are easy to get, meaning that usually, you just need one more piece to make it run. Tamamo works. Merlin works. A DPS that works with either of those 2 work. Then mash in the appropriate easy to get unit and you're good to go.
In the current meta, while I agree Hans is the better option, but Ruler isn't a bad pairing with Vlad either. She will lock him out of stars, but as a Berserker, unless you're lancelot, you shouldn't be relying on crits and the chances are if you have Vlad and Jeanne you aren't generating crit stars at any significant rate anyway. the far more important point is having 3 Arts in her deck and being able to provide an invulnerability and heal to Vlad who is beyond squishy without Tamamo or Bride or any of the other major league arts supporters in the game currently. It also helps that she has a stun to further delay enemy NP when combined with Vampirism. The self stun on her NP does suck, but provided you use it correctly it is better than having Vlad die outright.
Arts teams may fire off consistent NPs but the problem is that usually only 1 or 2 of those team members are dealing any damage with their NP as you need at least 1 arts support whether that be Tamamo or Merlin or Waver and that damage fluctuates depending on skill cool downs so it isn't necessarily a consistent high level DPS. I do agree that in the current meta arts rule because battles are much longer and enemies have break bars and such and just by the nature of the mechanics the longer the fight the better an arts team is since they can survive longer and control the battle better. But that's the JP meta, for the foreseeable future in NA buster teams are far stronger since a Herc and Arturia and Gil combo is going to obliterate everything from Fuyuki to Camelot in one turn with their NPs. There is no need for consistency if you can blow through the enemy in a single turn.
And arts teams are as strong as they are because of Merlin and Waver. If Quick and Buster servants got equally broken support they would be just as good, though it would be hard to imagine what that support would look like. Sure Merlin and Waver also enable strong Buster teams and even Quick teams in Waver's case but overall they do the most effective work in Arts teams, Merlin alone makes almost any arts team immortal since they enable him to NP spam.
Base Vlad makes 15 generic stars on NP, 20 when he gets his interlude. He doesn't create insane amounts but he makes enough to pass around. Jeanne not only locks Vlad out of stars but also yanks from the other servant too that's involved. Vlad may not need to absolutely rely on stars but locking him out is a heavy count against Jeanne. Not wanting to really use her NP due to stun messing with your consistency basically means you're funneling your stars to a dead end that will use them in a not so good way. Hans provides that extra survivability all the same and is accessible. So when you don't have Jeanne, you use Hans. When you do have Jeanne, you still use Hans and still cut Jeanne from the party most often because she messes up the synergy. You won't need Jeanne's invincibility early on and in the cases that you would, you could just sub in any other unit. Waver is obviously more ideal at the moment and later Tamamo but even Mozart does fine and even that is a non issue. If you have Vlad (I assume so since we're talking Vlad teams), you can get Hans easily, and you can just pull a support Waver. So no matter what, Jeanne won't make it into the front line whether you have her or not.
Tamamo, Waver, and Merlin are the driving forces of ideal arts team but the fact is that you do not need to actually roll any of them. As stated before for this, all you need is Vlad and Hans. Then you just pull the last piece off support. First Waver, then later Tamamo when she comes out. So even in the NA server, this holds true as Waver is out and present in support in spades. Yes, arts teams are much stronger in the Japanese server than NA but if you do have Vlad, they're already generally outpacing the buster teams. There's Herc, Herc, and Herc. Tamamo cat and Fergus I believe are the only other triple buster servants at the moment so the ideal "buster team" at the moment is Herc + Waver + something which is really just going to be both weaker and harder to access than Vlad + Hans + support Waver under the assumption that you have Vlad. Basically, you need 2 gold components to make a more ideal buster team but only need 1 gold component to make an arts team. Artoria is just about the bottom of the barrel already and Gilgamesh may use busters but his more ideal team is probably more like... Hans, Waver, Gil. Gil takes all the stars those stars go into him filling up fast. Every turn is ideally either a Gil brave chain or an arts chain or a Gil NP with some disjointed arts cards from Waver or Hans at worst. Sure, Herc Artoria Gil obliterates Fuyuki and early singularities but all the way to Camelot? Herc will rarely ever charge up on his own and receives nothing but charisma from the team while only contributing himself being able to buster brave chain if you get lucky. Artoria will have difficulty charging on her own due to low arts saturation and Gil will basically run a 1 man show, taking what few crit stars are generated, enticing you to use his cards consistently. All in all, you might be able to run through some early singularities but only by brute force. Compare minimum requirements for an arts team to go through those singularities. You will not need as high levels and skills to manage it, not that getting said levels will be a problem in NA. So sure you can but it is still weaker.
At the moment in the Japan server, Waver, Tamamo, and Merlin drive arts teams. Waver is generic, Merlin disposed towards busters, Tamamo disposed towards arts. The latter 2 aren't out yet and Waver is actually disposed a bit towards busters too. A team that can easily generate NP gauge doesn't care quite as much about his flat NP charging as a buster team that benefits from it more so you could say that at the moment, arts teams are at their comparative weakest that they'll ever be with only Waver and busters should benefit the most from this. Yet arts teams are still more solid than buster teams at the moment, even with that disparity. Buster teams are not better right now at all. They will be for a brief time when existing on the back of Jalter, Kintoki, and the like with fragments of 2030 before arts teams get some of their other pieces but just as fast, arts will be on top again and stay on top. Buster has already gotten their support. What do you think Merlin is? Quick hasn't gotten theirs yet so we can't say though they do have a brief time of being top on the back of the raw power of Okita and Jack. But at the end of the day, the best buster teams are really DPS with arts based support, not dedicated busters.
Sure you can play the game how you like but that doesn't make buster heavy teams efficient. You need those big 5 stars, then you need multiple 2030s and finally you can compete with a budgety arts team. Or you can say "I can blow through all these battles with my 2 limit broken kaleidescopes or waver with non LB scopes" but these are much more stringent rolling requirements than arts who can do the job similarly. Also, you'll find that the busters will stop working at a point. The arts won't. It won't change that you're talking about a bad synergy buster "combo" that requires much more gacha luck or money just to run on par with an arts team that can be gotten by anyone and easily. That "combo" also becomes quickly outdated no matter how much money you initially threw into it while every single piece of a current arts team will be useful in the future. Waver and Hans still don't get outdated even when Merlin and Tamamo come out. Artoria is outdated from day 1. Gil sinks into the pits of despair quickly till he gets his fixes and Herc... Well, he is good individually and can carry you all the way up to Camelot. So the most efficient buster team is called singular Herc carry and letting your bond points build up so you can hit that snowy castle and let him take you far. Arts are just fundamentally stronger in most scenarios. Busters will see use later too in the long run... working on the back of arts. The kind of buster team you're talking about is already weaker than arts and minus a very brief time of whales being able to push them past arts they will continue to become comparatively weaker and weaker as arts becomes ever stronger and stronger, even moreso as DW starts to introduce break gauges and has to add fight parameters that specifically try to combat arts teams blatantly like heal power reduction. That tells you what's really the strongest and will continue to be barring a massive rework. Like an outright command card mechanics rework.
I've been wondering who i was gonna combo vlad and tamamo with once i get her assuming, fromw hat i gather here hans is still strong with both of them? I dont know hans well but I'm guessing this is because with tamamo charging his NP and reducing his cooldowns, his NP all-buffs will be mostly always on?
Hans is about as good as it gets at the moment and is good even at current time in the JP version. You could definitely put Waver in and it'd be excellent as well. Probably a slight edge to Waver because he gets traction faster. On the other hand, Hans is better at snowballing and still gets going pretty fast anyway. Vlad aims to crit. Hans supports crits with both providing stars (helps everyone charge and keeping the star flow consistent) and critical damage for everyone in a pretty big chunk like 40%. This increases the damage yield drastically. At the same time, his NP provides a tons of buffs, healing, and is spammable. It is also worth noting that Hans maxes at 75% gauge with his high speed incantation. That means you can do a NP chain that includes Hans, then Tamamo. Hans will NP. He'll refill to 31.25, and he can charge the rest of the way with his skill for hitting his NP twice in a row. This can dig you out of a pit if needed, netting you 40% stat boosts and 2k heal over time, making your servants rather tanky even if one of them is a zerker. You can play with the timing to suit your situation.
And yes, barring horrible luck, Hans will have his buffs up at all times. Slightly subject to chance of course due to his NP but the chance is pretty reliable. Most importantly, Hans helps facilitates the NP spamming by allowing himself to patch your possible bad luck with QAAAB and Arts NP with a high charge skill and stars. Waver gives you direct charge and has the same card composition which puts him in contention too but to anyone else atm, no one else helps charging and consistency like Hans and he provides everything that team wants. Medea lily doesn't help you survive a big hit from bad RNG that could take Vlad from full to 0 and doesn't provide stars. Jeanne steals Vlad's stars and doesn't make stars as well as Hans, nor does she provide his general utility of an NP that does everything that you wan that you want to liberally spam. So Hans beats out his competition while still being at 2 star and Waver's the only one that's worth debating as being as good as him in that team. Waver probably gets a bit of an edge... at lv 10 skills. Hans will be much easier to get up to skill 10 and will be at NP5 so while Waver may somewhat edge him out, come on. We're talking a 5 star with higher investment needed to eke by a 2 star by a small margin.
Brute Attack comes from RNG, while Arts Chains are straight 20% NP gains

Thanks for the tips on what servants to pair with Vlad. I've got both him and Herc and have been puzzling just what to do once I top up their levels. This servant review series has been a huge help in getting me prepared for the later game battles, I wouldn't have thought to use Cu Chulainn until you brought up just how stupidly tanky he is, nor would I have fully understood the nature of Vlad's Arts card focus.

so i got vlad by using free summon ticket in JP server, i am afraid to use gacha again now.

I use him as support along with merlin to feed my saber shiki crit stars...
He survives for quite a while with def up ce’s (I got him 20% def ce + 25% from his def skill which pretty much mitigates his berserker class weakness)
While dealing decent damage with np while shiki follows up with juicy 100%crits afterwards.
So overall, i’d recommend using him in a team of:
1) Either a CRIT damage servant with good star absorb or a TANK with def up on np’s. Depending on your choice, Vlad can either act as dps or crit stars support.
2) a support such as hans or merlin that can buff crit damage and heal.
Overall, you can expect him being useful in ARTS focused servants or a mixed team with a crit based dps servant.

Actually... An Arts NP has a higher damage percentage than a Buster NP. So technically Arts NPs are stronger.
You probably said that because of his wasted passive and no Arts Support... Unless you like using Mozart.
Since Tamamo is not out yet, that's what you have.
The higher damage percentage actually doesn't make up for the bonus damage buster cards get. Quick cards actually have the highest NP modifier but are usually the weakest because Quick cards have the lowest damage value.
Is that true though? Single target quick NPs scale to 2000% at NP5. Quick cards have a 0.8 modifier, which makes 1600%. Arts STs usually go up to 1500%. Busters go to 1000%, *1.5 is 1500%.
Usually Busters are the strongest due to Buster chains boosting them further, but technically, Quick still very marginally inches out Arts for damage, excepting any special effects.
i though np does not gain benefit from chain ? example buster buster NP does not boost the dmg of the np?
Actually I was misinformed, you're indeed correct.
NP doesn't gain any chain benefits, but the damage modifier is still affected by the card type, i.e. Buster will be x1.5 damage, Arts is 1x, and Quick is 0.8x.
But on the other hand, Buster NPs do let you do a Buster Brave Chain, which will strengthen regular attacks moreso than the other chains.
I had to go on this video just to assure that I made a good choice rolling for Vlad in the Chaldea Event the moment I got him...

Just summoned Vlad (berserker) in the Cleopatra banner, rolling for Dangerous Beasts. I did not get any Dangerous Beasts or Cleopatra, but at least I got Vlad! Too bad he didn't bring Tamamo (caster) with him. I have Waver, so I will need to rely on my friends' Tamamo. I look forward to using him! Thank you for this spotlight. He is my first 5* berserker.
I often put him on a team with Tamamo and Waver, or Tamamo and Nero Bride. I've got Tamamo, Vlad, Waver, and Nero Bride so I think those tend to be his best allies...for now at least.
kinda want to see either waver or berserkalot for the next spotlight.

I pulled Waver way back when I first started playing in February of this year. Didn’t shoot for Vlad in the Apocrypha event because I didn’t have Tamamo. And yesterday, I pulled Tamamo. Fate is a cruel, cruel mistress.

Thanks for the video. Though in my opinion with interludes Vlad could be B, but he is a Bererker and they are hard to use efficently. I don't like them much, but Vlad was my second 5 star and I always liked his stories, legends.
I was considering if I should bump him to B, since I absolutely love him and he does crush most enemies easily with the right team. My only issue is that the competition for strong berserkers is very tough, there are a couple of 4*s that are comparable to Vlad. I think he needs one more strengthening quest to really push him over the edge
If it makes you feel better, while Vlad has his issues and requires a specific team the ability to make said team is very forgiving . You pull Vlad. You friend point summon for Hans. You pull Waver off the support list. When Tamamo comes out in 2.5 months, you pull her off support instead and maybe roll for her if you like it. Thus making the team is easy as long as you're willing to abuse supports. He's rather meh at the start but with time it will get better. For example, at the current point in the Japanese server, he's pretty good. With his power up to shapeshift in combination with Tamamo's CD reduction, barring RNGesus totally abandoning you, you will have a constant 30% defense buff to go with her constant heals which makes him not all that squishy. I don't like berserkers much either but as far ask zerks go, him in his team is pretty hard to kill and the constant damage buff will keep his damage output up. In effect, he'll become easy to use as long as you don't mind only using him in one specific way. He's terrible to just jam in and hope for the best but perfectly easy in the sense that he's so rinse and repeat.
I don't have Waver or Tamamo, but I used Vlad with Hans and Support Waver and it was a really solid strategy. Managed to keep Vlad alive and kept pulling off his NP.

I have NP2 Tammy and NP2 Jeanne. I could make a gnarly art stall team that still has decent DPS.

Paracelsus with PG, Caster Gilgamesh and Hans was a good team for me. There’s enough arts chains (Especially with Hans and Para) that Vlad is never short of NP. Not lacking damage either because of crit up, ridiculous number of stars and Hans + Gil buffing attack a LOT. Good stats too. Solid crits.

One thing I like using Vlad for is an instant NP. I use a friend's Vlad who has Kaleidoscope and put him in the Sub Member spot and if one of the Starting Member characters dies he can come in and instant NP. I haven't been lucky enough to get him or Kaleidoscope.
Also are you planning on doing spotlights on characters who aren't in NA after you have done all the ones that are? I'd like to know how a character is before we get them to know if I am wasting my time on leveling them or not.
A lvl 80 Vlad carried me through Nero fest with my lvl 60 Vlad, bffs for life
I will do spotlights on new servants as they are announced in NA. So once Okeanas is announced for example I will put up a spotlight for Drake and everyone else a couple days before release, that way it is current and still helpful for people on the fence about rolling

I decided to bite the bullet and raise Hans to support my Vlad in light of his NP interlude coming up, and holy shit, he makes a huge difference. Previously I was using a Vlad - Medea Lily - Support Tama team, and the results were middling at best. After switching out Medea for a Lv55 Hans (I couldn't max him because Okita ate all my gears), they suddenly became an NP spamming freight train that smashes right through most opposition with little difficulty.

Strangely, despite the spoken assumption of having butchered the Noble Phantasm's name pronunciation, this is one of the few times the pronunciation was actually correct (or at least consistent with how the character pronounces it).

Hmm, since Vlad, and many other servants, require the right team comp (which may not be easy/cheap to do), maybe you should consider offering two grades: one for without a good team, and one with a good team.
It sounds like post-interlude Vlad is a C+ without a good team, but with Tamamo he'll skyrocket to an A. Would you agree with that statement?
I'd agree with that, most servants aren't as dramatically team dependent as him...well rather than team dependent he is Tamamo dependent lol

I've kept on the bench for so long... now that I got a tamamo... I might actually take him along now... especially now that I know his bond essence is actually good. (been in a bond level phase lately, jeanne maxed, raikou level 7 and jalter lvl 9... among others)
He was my first 5 stars, but due to pretty bad luck on the support servants (tamamo and waver didn't want to come until jalter event) I got seriously disappointed by his performance, so I left him to rot... maxing out 4 other (Mordred, Jeanne, Jack and Brynhildr) before finishing him...
I'll be curious whose the better Berserker Vlad 3, Frankenstein, Hercules out my gold berserkers, and one common Asterios

Just came here to say that in 8 multi rolls in jp he spooked me twice (no hes not on rate up) on Beni banner. Well after first time i was mad but ok but after second time i just burned all 2 copies of him along with 3 saber dirmund and emiya..... Congrats vlad on becoming my most hated servant :) i have no regrets.
I couldn't pull any good arts cards so i found characters that have at least 2 buster and 2 arts cards each and slapped him on there instead.

As someone who's first game in the fate series was FATE/EXTRA and saw what the Lancer version of Vlad III looks and acts like. I can say without a doubt after comparing the two..... That I think there must have been some sort of mistake with assigning classes here. If you ask me the Beserker version of Vlad seems way to calm, rational, and just over all SANE to be considered a Berserker, while the Lancer version is just a crazy, blood obsessed, NUTJOB who just wants to murder everything. Like In all honesty the Lancer version seems more like a Berserker while the Berserker form seems much more like how the Lancer SHOULD have been to begin with.

At this point in the game, yes, for sure. Probably the best team overall.
Would you say having Vlad's NP at lvl 2 is a minimum requirement to be able to spam the NP
Not really. To pull off the Vlad infinite NP trick, you need Nero Bride, or a substitute with a similar NP-gain buff, as well as a couple of 2030s for good measure. Vlad's NP gain is terrible, however, his NP has a very high hitcount. If you manage to get an overkill, the arts bonus from Tamamo's Fox's Wedding, + Nero Bride's NP gain buff + Formalcraft will give you a lot of NP back in return. NP2+ however, will make it doable a lot earlier, as increased NP damage will increase the amount of overkill hits, generating more NP. The difference between a NP1 Vlad and a NP2 Vlad is that the NP2 Vlad can get a full bar of NP off without needing a full buffed Brave Chain with at least one arts card and a crit on that arts card. You do not need it to spam, but it does make it a lot easier
The more stally Vlad/Tamamo/Waver team doesn't really care, aside from the extra damage. Your NP gain is from Waver's spell (which gets its CD reduced by tamamo's NP), Tamamo's NP, and Arts chain (which comes a lot more frequently due to Waver's deck). You'll fire off a NP every other turns, while stalling forever with defense buff + heal + NP gauge steal.

abit of an off-topic question here, but what's your basis on grailing Nero Bride? I know she's a very great pseudo-dps support with an arts deck to complement any arts team, and am thinking of saving up for her and is deciding who's more useful in the long term between her and Okita. My only consideration is that quick teams doesn't scale as much as arts and buster does since no support casters for them like how Tamamo and Merlin is available for the other two.
My basis for grailing Bride was just because I love Nero lol. I grailed Jeanne Alter for gameplay purposes and Nero just because I love her. But from a gameplay perspective I don't have Merlin or Waver so Nero Bride is actually one of my best supports and it helps to have her be able to hit just that much harder and take more damage.
I'd say next to Waver, Tamamo, and Merlin Nero is the 4th best Arts team servant you can have since her skills are fantastic across the board and her NP is actually quite strong and applies a Def debuff. I would put her above Okita just because, while Okita is strong, Bride is just overall more useful on a variety of teams and decent on her own even.
Just pulled him trying for Jalter. Now I have both Lancer and Berserker versions. I’m looking forward to Nero Bride as I have Tamamo. So I’m very interested in making an Arts based team. Most my cast revolves around the buster meme team. Thanks for the video.
Question, would he do well with Hokusai and perhaps Lancelot (Saber) paired possibly with Tamamo? My arts servants are under leveled though. Caster Gil and Sheba can also make a decent support?
I think that makes a good offensive team, especially with Hokusai who is great at softening targets for him to smash

Why is Vlad's NP damage modifier only 600% before interlude, and even after interlude, it's only 900% which is the standard of single target art NP? The effect isn't even that good compared to other NP's. For example, Nero Bride also has single target art NP which has 900% damage modifier pre-interlude (1200% post-interlude), while also applies Burn Damage, Defence Down and Crit Down to enemies.
Not completely sure, it might be to compensate for him being a berserker and having a natural increased damage modifier against everyone but more likely it was probably because of power creep and poor balancing at release. Aside from a handful of release servants, the vast majority of them get power creeped hard as the game goes on, I mean Jeanne's entire NP is just a skill on Merlin and even charisma is just bland nowadays without any added effects whereas at release it was one of the best skills in the game
I agree about the power creep part, but I don't think you can't compare a skill and a NP like that. Sure, Jeanne needs to build her NP to give party invulnerable and Merlin can do it with his skill, but Merlin has cooldown restriction while Jeanne can spam it after 2 or 3 turns.
After looking at the wiki, it seems you are right about the part "Berserker having a natural increased dmg modifier and thus their NP get lower dmg modifier". All current berserkers have standard NP modifier (i.e 300% buster AOE and 600% buster ST etc...) while other classes can have upgraded modifier (400% buster AOE and 800% buster ST).
I got lucky and got Waver and Vlad, and yeah it is gross with both of them.
