Facts! Crash bandicoot was fire 😆 I relate to this, and this is my first Christmas without family or my main friends. It's all about experiences over things, went out for a nice dinner instead of doing any gifts. It's definitely over-commercialised and I can see how kids are raised with that expectation, it's up to us adults to send the message you've presented here. Btw, fantastic beach!! Gee Perth is underrated.
I'm glad Christmas wasn't as commercialized back in the day. Basic things like socks, gloves and pajamas were the things to get and maybe something else that was special. I miss the Christmas caroling up and down the neighborhood streets. Now everything is fake. I don't buy anything for Christmas now for anyone.
Not all westerners are tight. I had 2 new neighbours move in next to me nearly 3 weeks ago who are profoundly deaf. Complete strangers and I’ve tried to help them everyday as they’ve moved to Kent from Wales on their own. If everyone was kind to others then the world would be a better place. That’s why I try to help people. I saw Christmas for what it was a long time ago. My 25 year old son asks for nothing because he knows too. Happy Christmas to you and everyone. Be kind. Help others who genuinely need it and appreciate your loved ones. God bless
Merry Christmas! 🎄 🎅🏼 I Agree with everything you said. I ask my grown-up children not to buy things I don't need, their company is all I appreciate on the day.
Christmas is really for the kids. The adults have to pay for it. People expect others to be happy for a couple of days. Well, perhaps others aren't so happy, so why should they fake their emotions for this time to suit others? All the crap going on in the world at the moment does take its toll on others.People get fed up after a while. People are struggling just to maintain some semblance of a livelihood.
Hi Daryl, Merry Christmas x I love what you are doing :) I have to add to what you have highlighted in your video - I live in Edinburgh just now (I'm not from here), and I, too, have had great conversations with strangers on the street - also in supermarkets - as If we had known one another for years!! Then, we went our separate ways, smiling, happy with the experience we had just had together. I love your journey, but have you considered that it is just your journey and not the way things are? What I mean is that you are experiencing things from your own viewpoint, created from your past experiences and not necessarily from the clear-cut black-and-white viewpoint you base your video's on? Keep doing what you are doing ... it's cool and entertaining :D I will continue to follow you. You are on a journey of self-reflection. I like that :))
@@DarylSolis I am a nurse so the job is pretty easy to get. The issue is I worked so hard to pay off this debt (working more than 40 hours a week with my husband (Edinburgh) not sure what to do. Finally I can work 3 days a week and enjoy my life a bit. I am 34 and I feel I have not visited a lot. Just to add Perth is amazing.
like any business they want to make money but since several years it has become severe greed bc many put out christmas things in august . by the time it comes around many are fed up . although many put up their tree etc early nov . ones hears must get in the food drink presents etc stressing themselves out even before c.of l went up and then they do it all again and again . a survey 2 years ago in the uk average earners spent on average between £ 500 - £ 800 and i wonder why . we have gone to the alps twice for christmas and we felt that was money well spent bc we saw a different tradition and sledging and the land scape is so beautiful . single mums were online and paper having spent £ 2000 and more and with 1 person you could not see the tall tree bc the presents covered it all . another story i recall a good 15 years ago . grand parents bought 2 bikes each costing £ 100 for grand children and they didn ot even get a thank you . its simple things that are lovely . a picnic in the beautiful country side . or on the beach in a warm country of course like yourself is all perfect and not much money needed . enjoy your day and a real merry christmas .

Merry Christmas to you Daryl. Glad I found your channel
100% agree. I don’t tend to bother now. Most of my family do though
Merry Christmas Daryl 🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁 all the best

Following from Canada, wishing I was in Australia lol
Wishing you lots of success and happiness in your endeavours
Well done Daryl 👍
This is a good realisation about Christmas! You have the best view of the beach.
Thankyou Darren you seem like the only one who speaks my mind
In the UK you can actually have a conversation with a stranger on the street, comparing to the other Eurpean countries
Merry Christmas pal
Loved crash bandicoot. But yeah Christmas ain't the same anymore, maybe because I'm 37 but it's been like that since my mid 20s.
Merry Xmas, yes its all so commercial now, awful..
Find your own meaning and connection rather than staring open cup for a morsel of festivity
I am from Scotland and thinking to come to Perth, I have a flat debt free, not sure what to do.
Just go for it! Ask yourself, why not?

I didnt know the Unabomber and Victor Meldrew had a lovechild.
I couldn't care less about it tbh.
Happy Christmas
I thought you would volunteer today. At a good kitchen or homeless center. Just to feel more connected to Perth
