Thanks very much for the review - there aren’t many out there yet so great to get your thoughts. I’m tempted to get this Centre channel to go along with my 683 s2s. I tested it in a shop in the UK and it sounded good, but just didn’t feel like a big enough upgrade over my HTM61 S2 (the old big 6 series Centre channel). Your comments about music are really interesting though as I only tested it for a movie in the shop. I’ve been listening to some of the Atmos mixes on Apple music and they’re really nice!
Thanks for the comment. I used to demo the HTM61 S2 with the 702 S2’s in my store. It sounded better the HTM72, the smaller 700 series center. I think it will be a better match for your 683’s as opposed to the 71 S3.
Yes 100% will match the 702 Signature. I used to have the 702 S2. Not the same caliber as the Signature but the HTM71 S3 matched really well with the 702’s.
Hello - In my opinion the tweeter on top makes a big difference in the overall sound for multichannel music. But, $1200 vs. $2500, I would go with the S2 instead especially if you’re primarily watching movies. Thanks for the question.
