I'm only 30 mins into this, but I think this might be the best TST Podcast ever! No offence to the 100s of previous guests... but Aloisa Ruf is a gem! Knowledgeable, true automotive history in her blood, lots of family/ company stories and a quick, fun humour with an easy laugh! Can't wait to listen to the rest
Nobody can top Gordan Murray.......... .....
And Matt left his potty mouth at home :)
Aloisa is delightful ,lovely, and so knowledgeable. Terrific interview, Matt.
Except him talking over her at times presumably from her soft voice. Typical male. Whatever he has to say is way less important than what she has to say. Matt you're a jew ogre. Handle yourself around intelligent beautiful women. LI]ike a damn kid getting all giddy.
Wow, what an amazing guest! I could listen to Aloisa talk about cars for hours and hours. Maybe a part 2 down the road?
She needs a RUclips channel. Beautiful, sweet, lovely accent, and extremely knowledgeable.
The channel should just be her reading from automotive marketing brochures, written editorials and features from old car magazines, spec sheets, etc.
She is awesome! Amazing personality and a true love and passion for cars.
This girl’s voice is so soothing!
she could have a lucrative career doing asmr reading porsche manuals hahaha
Dude, the fact that she’s incredibly knowledgeable is already fascinating, but that sultry voice😮. If dipped in Chocolate and drizzled with honey was a sound🤌🏾
It was fantastic to listen to this.
I think all of the listeners got a chubby lol
Her voice mixed with her super well articulated vocabulary makes listening to her so enjoyable!!
What an awesome interview. She's great on radio with that voice/laugh and great on camera with that never ending smile. I could listen to her talk all day long, quite relaxing. She needs her own podcast.
What a discovery! RUF is definitively in good hands. I always love when someone starts talking about all the models and details of each one without even pausing to think, as it is so embedded in the brain.

Thank you!!
What a delightful interview. So interesting that Porsche passed on Gran Turismo and so RUF pursued. I've been a fan ever since.
My standards of a car girl just trippled 😅
I have never clicked the link so fast! So lovely to hear her opinions and preferences. Yellow bird is definitely #1 tuned Porsche of all time, but in my opinion I would have to say #2 is black bird. It was popular enough to get its own manga series
I would almost go as far to say that Stella the original RWB or M Walkers 277 could be in that same realm at this point. Yellowbird is definitely #1 to all enthusiasts worldwide. Even if you don't know Porsche, you know Yellowbird.
What a delightful guest, she seems demure, but her passion shines through. Good get Matt.
Beautiful voice and an extremely interesting guest. 15 minutes in and loving this episode. Already vote to have her back.
What a delightful gem of a human. Loved this episode.
It's hard to walk away from this and not be really impressed with her genuine sweetness, knowledge and passion for her work no matter if it's cars or photography. Lovely woman and accent. I was pleasantly surprised she didn't feel the need to break out from her dads shadow or feel any kind of pressure from being his daughter. Good interview Matt.
That Ruf “rodeo” car is exactly Ruf’s thoughts on things like Singers. Ruf makes functional phenomenal performance cars without compromise- the fact that the precious overdone earnestness of a Singer with its “homage” to a sport and sports car project that it will never have any intimate real connection to- replete with things like four point harnesses and door straps made out of exotic leathers- with an entire weird made up concept of bespoke, hand built “craft” that would sound slightly less cringy and weird if Singer was modifying say- jp Purdy and sons shotguns and rifles instead of malaise era 911s- it could have inspired rage. Instead Ruf is so self confident and sincere about what they do- that they went ahead and made a rodeo car- complete with a cattle catcher- horse saddle leather, a Mexican blanket- a pedal box that works with cowboy boots- and big knobby tires that can tear through a muddy manured corral- or drive across Comanche country rounding up more beers, steers, and queers than any Texan pick up truck.
THIS is how one does whimsical humor- this is how you pay homage to an absurd parody of a real thing you’ve got no connection, experience, knowledge, or real material link to.
Ruf made a “rodeo car”. I’m confident it’s mechanically wonderful- but it also humorously and violently re-appropriates the entirety of the project of making a better, no compromise “Porsche” back to the folks who actually can not only identify the Herculean task for what it is- but actually have the knowledge, skill set, and historical and material connection to successfully pursue it.
The Rufs are too nice to be mean- they’re simply having fun and poking fun at the likes of Singer. But if you really think about it- that Rodeo car is so brutal that folks at Singer probably won’t even get it. Instead they’ll call it overwrought, ugly, off, overly precious, ostentatious, out of touch!or any number of other descriptors that don’t really describe the Rally car- but do describe the entirety of the cottage industry of retro bespoke six figure “reimaginings” of the world’s best sports car- that Singer helped create and is the poster child for.
I wish Ms. Ruf had put Hella brand steer horns on the front cattle catcher- but I guess it wouldn’t be worth the risk of letting the target of hilarious criticism in on the joke.
I still want one.
omg what a great embasser for the brand.....and the voice,my God her voice, calm and soothing, and she knows her SHIT
I definitely have good memories running the RGT and CTR2 in Gran Turismo before Porsche was in them. I think it's not that they turned Sony and Polyphony Digital down but that they had an existing exclusive contract with Electronic Arts. Also for the guy who wanted a 45k Porsche do note that will get you into a DFI 987.2 Cayman or Boxster S but in the world of 997s it would only be a 997.1 if you want an S. And those motors do have a small question mark for me over the later DFI ones even if they do have more character than their successors.
She's such a lovely and charming person! You could tell how passionate she is about her work!
The 96 Ruf CTR-2 [Azure Blue] in Gran Turismo 2 was my favourite car. That was my 'skyline' of the game.
The turbo whoosh and build of speed was amazing (back then😂).
Hell yeah. Funny how much Gran Turismo shaped us. Like we played it young, then grew up and had to have some of these cars.
The future of RUF is in great hands. Great video! Aloisa is a charming person that really knows her stuff!!
What a great podcast! Thank you TST and Aloisa!
What's with the cranky comments! Why do the guests have to "resonate" with us? Don't like it, just click away. I'm here for the stories.
The only weird sexist one I saw was deleted. Hope there weren't more.
She is going to do great things with RUF when she takes over. Her knowledge, without blinking you can tell she knows every nut and bolt inside and out. I am so impressed! Great interview as well.
Matt, you're 100% correct about color blindness. I suffer from it too, and I also thought the watch face was black. I was able to see the green one you guys talked about it!
She is just a treat. I would love to see her in the future.
I was just talking to someone about how crazy it sounds now to have grown up in a town in Minnesota where you could find 3-4 different RuF cars driving around in the early 2000s.
@@georgemcunty6383 Yes please! 😂. I could see how someone would think that however, they were all mostly owned by 2 brothers (last name Beddor). Much like the Whittington brothers

She's amazing, very impressive. Also, Matt you look great. Good job.
His hard work and sacrifices are paying off!
I loved this interview ....Aloisa is absolutely a treat to listen to and she talks "Porsche" like nobodies business ...Damn !! I could listen to her all day ....
Extremely knowledgeable and and overall joy to listen to.
Probably one of the best TST episodes ever. Aloisa has such a lovely voice and genuine passion for what her family does.
Great podcast! Keep up the good work, TST team.
Top tier guest for sure. Such an obvious passion for the cars as well as being super knowledgeable about their history.
Also thanks to Mama Ruf for the Gran Turismo deal. It's made me deathly afraid of ever going in a Yellowbird, but that might be more my fault than anything else.
What an amazing girl! A real credit to her family. The future is safe with people like this fantastic kid!
Amazing interview, she should come back! I'd love to check out the Ruf factory next time I'm in Germany
Tell your mom I discovered RUF via Gran Turismo growing up and now have a R-Turbo conversion in my garage because of it.
I was driving from Tennesse to Ohio and I was listening to this episode and it was so riviting and soothing from her voice, great production as usual Matt and Zack!
I could listen to this woman talk for hours. What a lovely voice.
OMG. I watched this b/c of RUF cars and her calm nature and personality made me feel like I just had a therapy session. If the car thing doesn't work out she would be a great therapist.
Ive only heard of RUF , cool to know more of the in and outs. The 917 will always be favorite
Great show guys, this lady has incredible sports car DNA. What a joy to listen too, she needs her own podcast! And i totally agree Caymans are nice but 911s rule.
1:09:25 the reason Porsche wasn’t in Grand torismo is because they signed an exclusive contract with need for speed years before that to only have their cars in their game, this was a 15 plus year contract that caused Porsche not to be in a lot of car games
The Gran turismo question was ace! So true about the jdm enthusiasm
This was a delight. Well done guys.
i might be wrong but 911 #2 was with luciano rupolo in north italy, till he sold to swiss businessman, as he said in a video here on youtube
Aloisa, a true gem in the Automotive World, brilliant, super knowledgable, charming, thank you. Matt Farah, unfortunately always talking over, especially his female guests, but altogether a very insightful interview with a great representative of RUF automobiles.
She is so cool!! So smart! I wanna go get a tour!
What a sweet girl! Her passion shines through.
RUF was Mythic status when i was growing up around 2000. We only had a few pics to lust over back then
Great episode!
This is so cool! Love it that she knows the cars inside and out! Can't impress her with just just any old car.. lol
I want the blue ctr club sport with that mid engine. It looks great with the suspension and all it’s sad😢that it’s not attainable to most people I think 🤔 it’s one of the best ruf cars out there
Awesome guest!
great guest and podcast
pure wisdom
She is just magical. Amazing chat.
The exact thing that happened to Matt while talking about the watch, happened to me. Colorblindess is super strange. (I’m also colorblind and looked black at first)
I know this is a probably impossible idea, but getting Ferdi Porsche (29y.o grand-son of Ferdinand Porsche) on the podcast would be so cool.
He is the guy behind the F.A.T. Mankei branding, runs the GP Ice Race and does a bunch of the mega-exclusive Porsche meets (GT1's and stuff). Maybe even together with Jean Pierre Kramer, likely the single best connected RUclipsr in the automotive world. Hoonigan people/Larry Chen do a bunch of work with him
I agree that would be a great get! Spike had him on his show in 2021 if you haven’t listened to that episode yet
I'm just waiting for him to get Thomas Schäfer (VW ceo) or Oliver Blume (porsche ceo) or Jay Leno (no introduction necessary).... I mean at this point if I was a big guy in the car industry I'd wanna be on the same podcast as Jensen Button, Aloisa Ruf and Gordon Murray too.
She's an angel.
What a sweetheart of a lady with a perfectly smooth velvety voice...loved the podcast
Great guest
What a knowledgable young pretty lady ..Awesome Interview...!
1:12:38 What a sentence 😂
Lovely, intelligent young lady. RUF is in good hands!

Total dream, girl!! Wow!!
Hast du toll gemacht, ganz stolz LG Veysel
Remember, always listen to every guest. It's always worth it! Lovely episode, as always.
She is such a worldly and classy lady, it hard not to be enamored by her… what a great podcast. After listening to her on Johnny’s podcast I couldn’t click on this one fast enough… Seems like such an amazing family to be part of via the cars or birth 😂.
Great Guest, Matt and Zach!
Hey Whats the Johnnys podcast called

@@Beezy_Builds InEVitable, Aloisa was on episode 53 / S9E5
Was a good listen. Nice to hear about how she’s building experience in all aspects of the business to prepare to lead Ruf for the next 40 or so years.
Only wish they touched on the Ruf V8 that they designed and built for the RGT-8. Seems like they don’t manufacture that model/engine anymore. And only ever saw motor show coverage. No reviews, but it did appear to be on sale for several years.
Cool tidbit from the show was learning that her mom was responsible for it being licensed in video games.
Best ASMR podcast in town
Matt hadnto come back to that Cayman S. Lol I'm with Aloisa; 997!
this lady took all the finishing schools
I think I'm in love 😍
Some girls have ALL the luck !!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm speechless. What an amazing episode! ❤ love yall!
993 is the most beautiful porsche ever.
I've had Ruf in video games before she was born. Anyone remember Test Drive?
Brilliant young lady.
Didn’t know Matt was doing ASMR
Wonderful discussion. Would be amazing to have some in car footage of her driving you in a few of their monsters, and having her dissect the behaviors of the car and why they made it that way and how they did it.
Her love for cars seems very authentic and organic. Loved this one guys!! My dad's 1986 G body actually has a RUF muffler on it which sounds rad. Interesting backstory on that one.
Very knowledgeable woman
coollll
I just saw the thumbnail and wanted to say congrats on the weight loss Matt 👏🏽 you look great!
So sympatic - congrats Aloisa ! U will go far 😊
Whow. Her English is perfect!
Matt’s watch?
Delightful young lady! Mom and dad must be proud.Great interview, very nice 👍
What an awesome Interview. And Aloisa is definitely a lovely girl. Loved the energy inside the studio.
Top tier show from Matt and the crew with one of the most impressive guest yet!
Matt taking the Saab 900 Turbo as an example of a boring car tells a lot about his car knowledge.
Lovely girl. Please more woman be like her and save the world
One of the most knowledgeable and entertaining guests on any interview show
