The fire alarm incidents are extremely frustrating, I lived in Founders last year and had random people pulling the alarm in the middle of the night. I must salute the Fire department as they knew these were pulled intentionally but they would still arrive in a matter of seconds and check the whole building.

I lived there ages ago. This is actually an upgrade to what I had back in the day. The bathrooms, stairwell, and kitchens are completely different. The common room though isn't much different. I actually saw them paint that mural lol
The heat wasn't too bad. We bought fans and it was fine. It starts to get hot in May and is still somewhat hot in September. If you're there in the summer, it's going to be very hot.
I was in two units at Winters. A double one year (2nd floor) and two years in a single (on the 3rd floor). I never found there to be any issues with noise.
The fire alarm went off a couple times a week in the middle of the night for the first month of the year just for the first year I was there then no one messed with it after that. But (at the time - don't know how it sounds now) the alarm sounded like a trolly car- bell so I ended up just sleeping through it lol
Also, not sure if it's still there but the main floor has a big room you can sign on to use if you need to practice singing/dancing or use the piano.
