Hey Steve, so glad to see this review.
This Bible is my daily driver because I can pick it up and just read and focus on the Word without distraction.
I have a shelf full of study Bibles and commentaries within reach if I want to drill down into the text, but this particular Bible has just become a real favorite. Keeps me reading the word rather than reading about the word.

I have one of the first or maybe the first printing of this ESV Reader's Bible (2011 text). It had headings and chapters in red accented color. It seems like the newer ESV Reader's Bibles have gotten rid of the red accented colors? If so, that's a shame, because I really liked the red accented color throughout the entire ESV Reader's Bible.
They change things up from time to time…and It may be cause some folks don’t seem to love red print. Kinda messes up their eyes. (That’s what I’ve been told when it comes to “red letter” edition Bibles)
I collect Bibles of all varieties and this one is something special to me.
Do tell! I’m sure there a good story. I’m curious
@@ClaimingChristianity Haha, no great story! I just love how it’s is simply the Word of God! No footnotes, no commentary, no verse numbers. My question to you is, how do you like reading this Bible? I’m a big reader in general but the Bible is the only book I read aloud silently to myself. Obviously a “Readers Bible” is probably meant to be read like any other book one would think. How do you prefer the reading of this specific bible?
I don’t read aloud. Just sit and tirade at length. Often with the audio version playing at the same time. I really enjoy this (and other) readers. I find them relaxing

How's the paper? I know it's going to be thin. Is the ghosting distracting?
I actually think the paper is not to bad. It’s thicker then I expected and the ghosting really isn’t bad IMO

I wish there was. But to my knowledge…this is the only “one volume” esv. You’d have to get it rebound I suppose.

I'm looking for a readers Bible, how does this one hold up today? Do you still find it great or do you prefer a different one?
It’s a great Bible but I’m currently using the NKJV readers deluxe. It’s only like $40 and I LOVE IT!
