When Christine left she was able to use the sale of her house that was in her name to finance her purchase of a new home back in Utah. If they had all been living in one home she wouldn't have been able to do that and would have basically been destitute if she left Kody. I think even at this point she was realizing that her marriage was over and she would need a safety net, and that's why she fought against the one house so much. In the end it was a really smart decision for her.

Ysabel's surgery was the epitome of Kody showing just what a worthless man - much less father - he is. He didn't care if his daughter needed the surgery. He didn't care (or even know) how much pain she was suffering. He didn't pay anything towards her surgery. He didn;t give any indcation that he cared at all about Ysabel's health or recovery. He was mad at Christine and didn't love or care for her, so he basically cut ties with her children. I cannot truthfully think of anything he could do to redeem my opinion of him.

You were permitted to be with immediate family, family members who were vulnerable and needed your care. There was no reason not to visit your parents for 11 months unless they decided that for you or were out of state as it took a while for travel to happen. Some in healthcare stayed away from family longer as they were more at risk of catching it and didn’t want the blame. Others didn’t swear to offer care at personal risk to themselves. Garrison would have gotten the shot among the first. Kody didn’t get the shot. A lot of the rules he wrote down in October of 2020 people had been told since summer were unnecessary. It did not stop Kody from going to an out of state funeral and instead of hunkering down at Janelle’s upon returning or hiding in Robyn or Meri’s basement before seeing Robyn and the kids it right through the door to kiss and pick up the little ones. Then he realized there was a way to test to let xmas gathering happen after he broke protocol. You all forget it is a virus. It’s not a sin to catch or transfer a virus to another living creature. I had surgery during COVID. The day of surgery, we had to tell two siblings to stay home because surgery waiting room only allowed 2 visitors. Even if you took turns going to the room, one at a time, the hospital limited the people in the waiting room. But after surgery, my sister from out of town left her adult family and stayed with me for two months. She didn’t quarantine in town before staying with me. She was family. We masked up for all my appointments. Masked up to grocery shop. Kody could have flown out to be with Ysabel after surgery during recovery. He and Christine could have taken turns seeing her in the hospital. Once Ysabel was stable and starting to walk, he could have flown home. If there’s a will, there’s a way. But to say to your daughter could you go alone was preposterous.

As far as the kids questions, I think the Mormon belief in a pre mortal life influences the feeling of a child waiting for you, or another spirit awaiting your decisions. It’s never occurred to me that a person/spirit child is waiting for me or my husband and I to bring them to earth. We word the child question in the form of, should we have another baby, should we try to have another child biologically or adopt, do you think our family is complete, etc.
So interesting though the obligation to obey in this regard that Mormonism/belief in premortal life puts upon a husband and wife because the consequences are quite extreme if you’re “wrong”

I never saw who this was but after two weeks my grandma died. So I believe that it was my Grandpa preparing me for her passing. Then for a month after her death, weird things would happen. One of the weird things that happen was, I heard someone tell me to step back and I did and then something fell off the top shelf at work. I looked around and there was no one in the room. Then most recently starting February 14th I would wake up with a horrible feeling that something was wrong. It got more and more clear as the days went up and on February 22nd I woke up knowing something was wrong with my Uncle. The evening of February 22 they found my Uncle dead.

Great video I loved hearing your take on the season. I wonder what it was like for polygamist groups during COVID. They already seem to tend to isolate. I wonder if it wasn't a big deal for them.
As far as the Browns I really didn't understand why they didn't get together. Our family got together during COVID. I didn't see all my friends but definitely family. It just felt very strange and I agree Kody and Robin treated the rest like acquaintances instead of family.

I am a Christian, Roman Catholic to be exact. As little girl, sometimes I used to picture myself as a mom with a baby girl (sometimes twin girls). By the time I was an adult, I had decided not to have children because of my experiences living in poverty in a large family as a middle girl. The man I eventually married had to promise me "no kids". Unfortunstely, after marriage, he kept pressuring me to have one. I kept having recurring thoughts of the baby girl and gave in. Immediately, I started hsing

I totally agree it was so horrible how people in general really struggled to respect differing views. So many polarized views and people unwilling to see that people on both sides actually do care about people, but just different angles they are coming from.
I find it disgraceful how he didn't make it work to go with Ysabel to her surgery. The other kids would have been okay and you would have sent them a message that you would be there for them when they really need you for something big too.
It is also 'interesting' that Kody was most worried for the family with the young children related to covid when elementary school age kids literally had the lowest risk for serious injury and death of all the population. Young children during that time still had higher odds to die from car wrecks, choking, drowning, & other illnesses. It's like Kody forgot during that time people will die from something. And he kept them apart even after these stats were coming out.

I did go on to have three more children after that. I didn't have a feeling about having my children - I was supposed to do that so I could be happy, and raise good humans. I raised great humans but have always been miserable. Having children didn't help me to feel happiness.

Kody chose not to get vaccinated and was extremely separate because Robyn.
Sadly Kody never wanted Yasabel to ge surgery from th4nstart because he didn't want to pay for it. So Covid was an excuse.

I was not raised religious and am not religious now (not necessarily an atheist, just agnostic, I suppose?) but I had a strong feeling my husband and I were meant to have two children. This was significant because he became paralyzed due to a spinal cord injury many years ago and we weren’t sure if it would affect his fertility (doctors said it might). We had two daughters naturally shortly after getting married. Can’t explain it but instincts are powerful!

Wow what a great episode thank you for the review. So many things to talk about. The OG wives thought moving would change Cody's attitude to them. It didn't. I think Christine said the reason she didn't want the one house was because she would have been trapped, with no assets and unable to move away. TBH Cody was hoping to fix his relatioships the only way he saw - get the women together so they would stop bothering him. He wouldn't have given them any more time, but they would all comfort each other so he could spend all his life with Robin. We have to remember that all the wives contributed all their assets to coyote pass (some even more so) and once that was done Cody did not need them anymore. The dissolutionment created between his sweet talking all the wives into this move and the realisation that he didn't mean any of it probably cause the sudden change in the wives attitudes at that time. I look forward to your next video.

This season was so hard for me to watch because I had an emotionally absent father too. I was traumatized by it. But when I was 18 I told him off, and cut him off, and he fought to fix his mistake. I’m forever grateful for my fathers humility and love that made him look inward and be a better dad for me. I saw my son and daughter running through the woods and heard my daughter’s laugh before I was pregnant with either of them. The funniest thing is they are the ages they are today in that dream I had a decade ago. My kids are 8 and 7 and I just knew that in my dream and could see them from behind running through the woods in front of me and heard her laugh. But it was very sketchy, he would hide his car in her garage to hide where he was. Robyn just lies about how much (or how "little") time he spent with her. In one tell all (more like tell nothing) he talked about conducting an experiment where he spent an extended period with christine to see if she would stop complaining. She was thrilled, life was good, meri and janelle barely noticed, but Robyn was sooooo pissed he never did that again. 😂

UK follower here - I came from an agnostic family and there have been several incidents where I've sensed children 'destined' (for want of a better word) to be born for myself and close family/friends, which turned out to be absolutely true. I can't qualify WHY I sensed it, pure instinct is my best guess.
As for Kody, he's been a clod all the way through, which is a shame, because initially, I liked him.
