My brother got sent away to one of those trouble teen camps in the early 2000s (in Hurricane, UT). It's since become really nice, but when he was there they made the kids sleep outside for several weeks until they could 'earn' an indoor bed. It certainly scared me into behaving.

Sometimes another layer of people being abused is that they are led to believe that they are gay, lesbian, or transsexual. This is a layer that eventually she will also see through, no doubt. For now, she is still on her journey of working through her abuse. This is a case where I believe using the pronouns that she is asking for is respectful of her at the stage of growth that she is. This is coming from someone who was very masterfully deluded into believing that she was a lesbian.
BTW, I have absolutely no respect for the people who pose as gay, lesbian, or transsexual. They're being paid very handsomely to delude others. They are the ones that deserve our scorn.
You said that acting on your queer feelings is a big no-no in the LDS. Every video of Jodi & Ruby together indicate VERY STRONGLY that Ruby is in a a submissive "inappropriate relationship" with Jodi. Other victims of Jodi have said the same, that her practice is to separate the men from their wives, and have an affair with the wife. This has been going on for decades, and sill LDS "bishops" refer troubled couples to her for her form of "therapy". WTF?
Jodi Hildebrandt has “counseled” hundreds?thousands? of people over 15 years or more. I wonder what her current and former “clients” are thinking now. And what are the bishops that referred them thinking? All those people whose marriages and lives were ruined by Hildebrandt can sue her, as well as the church. I hope they do.
My family was referred to Jodi Hildebrant by our bishop as well- luckily, we’d been to therapy with enough people who are not LDS that we saw the signs and got away from her as quickly as we could. I think a key part in this whole thing is the LDS church does not teach mental health, does not promote consent and safety, or even teach what abuse, boundaries or ethical therapy looks like. LDS people are taught to just follow the hierarchy of power blindly, especially bishops. When we quit seeing Jodi our bishop even questioned our testimonies.
I watched Jessi's interview on Mormon Stories. They survived hell. They are such an impressive person. By the end I was in tears. The podcast raised money for them and they were so grateful & touched. Jessi was made to feel less than their entire life & they were brought to tears because people that never met them cared enough to help them. Tough to watch but so inspirational
I lived in Utah for 3 years. As an outsider, I saw the LDS Church encourge many women to leave their husbands when they lost their faith. It was heartbreaking to see.
That happened to my family. I was told to leave my husband because he couldn’t take me to the celestial kingdom. I tool that advice from my stake president, bishop even the president of the salt lake temple. We had 4 teens and had been married for 23 years. Sadly, only 2 years ago I learned the facts about the history and doctrine of the church. He never remarried. I married a Catholic for 5 years. Well now we get together for holidays and birthdays but it will never reunify our “eternal family”. 😮
One of the things I heard somewhere on the interwebs was that the reason the 12 year old boy was tied up and starved was that Jodi/Ruby believed he was either molesting his sisters or others. They accused the boy of sexual deviancy, but it sounds like Jodi is just obsessed with that topic, and assumes all the men/boys sent to her have that problem. That poor kid.
@@GrowingUpinPolygamy I just regoogled "Ruby Franke reportedly made shocking sexual abuse allegations" and the article says she made these allegations in a court hearing! So so so horrible.
Even before I knew about these Mormon rules , I felt this Hildebrandt woman must have had bad experiences with men, so this was all her revenge towards men!! But now I realize this is what this socalled religion preaches!!! And it’s all about power, under the pretext of a punishing God…
Past clients, like you mentioned, said Ruby would make up stories about the bad things the husbands “did”. I think that’s what she did to little Russell. She made it up and convinced Ruby it was true, and then they convinced Russell that he had done it. And the abuse was to “fix” that, so that is why Russell said the abuse was his fault. Horrible. I hope they give him real and loving therapy.
The similarities between the LDS and evangelical Christianity (which I grew up in) always surprises me. There’s just so many points where I find myself saying “yup, it was the same in my church too”. These high-pressure control religions/cults seem to heavily borrow from each other to keep their followers in line.
A cult forces a member to conform. Due to my childhood I will never let an authoritive figure tell me what to do .....I always pray and figure it out for myself I am a proud member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. It is not a cult......I know what that looks like!
@@lesleyofferhall8133 The LDS Church doesn’t have authoritative figures that tell you to conform? I think you are mistaken. First you have to pay 10% of your income to play. You have to wear the underwear they prescribe to you. You have to obey their leaders even when their doctrine always changes. This is all so you can be with your family for eternity. The LDS church is most certainly a cult even if it isn’t as bad as a cult you previously belonged to. It sounds like you moved from one cult to the next cult.
I think Jodie is a lesbian so it’s her M.O. to separate the pretty women from their husbands and to convince them the men are “BAD”. Sneaky sneaky Jodie! 😳😱
I agree. I’m a gay woman and I sensed she was gay immediately when I watched a video of her and Ruby together. Her scheme of destroying marriages for her own gain makes sense.
I went to one of these “troubled teen” schools for nothing out of the ordinary. Actually with Paris Hilton, who then went to Provo Canyon, she made a documentary about it. In Adam Steeds interview he said that Jodi would brag she worked with Paris. The parallels of what she was teaching in her ConnXtions “therapeutic cult” and the school I went to are frightening. These schools are not ok.
Got my first tattoo at 16. Hid it from my parents until I was 24. Mom finally saw it when she went with me to try on wedding dresses. She was much more freaked out about my bellybutton piercing, but wondered how long I had the tattoo.
Growing up fundamentalist Pentecostal I was told I had a rebellion demon possessing me at 9 because I wanted to wear pants and go to public school instead of being homeschooled.
On the subject of teenage “rebellion.” What’s rebellious depends so much on the family. I was raised mainstream LDS but in a fairly relaxed family. One of my sisters acted out her teenage rebellion by dyeing a strip of her hair blue and *gasp* wearing pants to church. She really wanted a reaction but our family didn’t care at all. It was no big deal. Lol.
I was also raised in a relaxed family and do the same with my own children. I actually have never heard of these “camps” until I was an adult. Had a couple of my siblings that were “troubled” but my parents helped them seek counseling if they were willing, and my parents handled it to the best of their ability. I’ve known many other families the same way. FYI, I do have a niece that is living in a program in Montana, faith-based, not LDS run. She is adopted, so there are issues stemming from that, on top of that, she has some mental issues so severe that she has attempted suicide many times. Her parents had to do something to save their daughter that they realized they needed help. This is where a program like this would be useful. So far she is improving.
@@nataliecrockett These children need expert therapy that 'faith-based' ones do not provide. It's usually a way to break their will and succumb to authority. Nothing but more abuse onto these children.
I admire that you respect Jessie’s pronouns. As a 70 year old woman, I am finding it difficult (but not impossible) to adjust to this “brave new world”.
Lol, I find myself thinking: Wait, they? I thought we were talking about only one person 😂 The confusion is worth it if it makes others feel included 🙂
Anytime that a Constitutional right is violated, that is abuse. Even religious people can agree as these basic rights are God given therefore God approved. So punishment with food withdrawal (except for “treat” food), water withdrawal, taking away beds and bedrooms, making children pay for their own clothing, not allowing friends, isolating for long periods etc. is not on. Ruby even spoke about punishment was always for 6 months. How inappropriate, wicked and unjust. Then when Jodi is a part of the scene and has control of Ruby’s children, the abuse is way worse because her “therapy” is used to serve her own interests. ❤️from Australia 🇦🇺.
Thank you for your commentary. Following this case as an outsider can be confusing. It appears every one involved in these crimes is a victim of ‘brain washing’ by the ‘church’ from the time they were born. I have no sympathy for Jodi but I often think that she, herself, suffered the same type of abuse as a child. That’s usually what happens in these type of cases. I’m glad they sealed the case. Every morning I wake up and breath a sigh of relief that these children are now safe.
Yes, as an outsider looking in , you see this horrible case along with Lori Vallow, Chad Daybell, Kouri Richins, Shanna Gardner, etc., and wonder what in the world is that church all about.
Jodi was my personal therapist at LDS Social Services, or wherever it's called, and wouldn't see me with my husband. The stuff she said and encouraged were incongruent with the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was so good at telling whoever what she thinks that she thought they wanted to hear in order to keep her standing and position with the Church. What they were not aware of were the lies, twisting the truth up into exaggerations based on her lies and lack of facts. She told me that i basically died when my husband came out with his admittance to an addiction to porn and that we'd never be the same, yada yada yada. Some of the stuff she said was right, but she was like Poison Ivy by adding in her slanted, twisted, hateful, slimy opinions into it all so that it was frankly quite confusing, and i knew she was wrong about so much!! I have a solid understanding of Gospel principals, the doctrine and the history of the church and the claims and allegations made against the early prophets and leaders of have Church, so the crap she said that was BS had zero effects on my knowledge, understanding and beliefs about the truth of the Church. It's really unfortunate to see so many giving a listening, believing ear to so much garbage about the church and then use evil, twisted people like Jodi, Ruby, and the Daybell's as examples to why the church is bad or wrong, etc etc.
So glad that you were able to see through her lies! No one person, good or bad, should be the poster child for any religion or organization. There are amazing people and awful people in every group or religion. I don't think that Jodi is an example of why the church is wrong, I think that Jodi is an example of how the church should be better at vetting people that they are going to put their support behind. It is sad that LDS Social Services was recommending someone who was so blatantly going against church teachings. So many of her victims were only victims because they trusted that if the church recommended her, she must be good. I hope the church learns from this lesson and does better in the future. Thank goodness you saw her for what she truly was.
I usually don't speak on other people's religions, because NONE of our religions are perfect, but, if we're being perfectly honest, some are worse than others. I have NEVER heard of a healthy, positive or productive branch of Mormonism.
@@patriciahisoire5753 very exhausting, very unattainable for anyone to meet even the standard expectations because there seems to be little room for normal human error. The pressure to be worthy is crazy. I spent some time with my grandparents recently and my grandpa kept telling my grandma how they needed to get their recommends and she said I currently don’t feel comfortable with doing that because I’m uncomfortable with something going on.
I have friends who are Mormon who I love dearly (I'm not Mormon). Having said that, any religion that abuses children, divides families, and violates privacy laws between patients and so-called health professionals, needs to be investigated from the top down. This type of abuse shouldn't be protected by the First Amendment under religious practices. This story of Hildebrandt and Franke makes me sick and angry.

Sorry about all the comments... I am commenting as I watch! But you guys did a superb job of explaining how women cannot enter the celestial kingdon without being sealed to a worthy man. I don't think I knew that! WOW.
@@GrowingUpinPolygamy Im from the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, and i guess maybe i was taught differently things? I was taught family is very important, we see people divorce for things they really could try to workout. We are told abuse is never ok and in those situations you do the best for you and your kids and to leave that situation if its the best for you and yours. They actually talked about all abuse a few years back and how its never ok. As far as the celestial kingdom yes we are taught that and the power of priesthood (and it goes deeper then a man having the power of priesthood, but many dont learn about how woman receive a type of priesthood also) but if your husband isnt worthy (or no longer believes/ was never a member) Ive never heard of a bishop saying leave your spouse. If anything ive heard keep your faith, pray, and be an example. And if he isnt worthy and you had issues, we are told god wouldnt keep us bound to ppl if we dont want to be, all family will be organized in the way it needs to be by god(he wont keep you from the celestial kingdom because of someone else, thats why he is judge of your life, your doings)This to me means if you are worthy, your spouse wont keep you from the kingdom you belong to. @@KeyG123 In the temple ceremony it used to say women have to obey their husband. Women would wear a face covering and get treated like 2nd class citizens in the Church. Women hold no authority in the LDS church. Women have absolutely no say in any decision the Church makes.
Interesting perspective. I think saying the church is all about family is an illusion. It's more about them enforcing their version of family. They are perfectly okay with families being torn apart if they don't conform to their version. Such a shame.

Ruby & Kevin's oldest son was sent to such a camp, I believe it was for several weeks. I also heard that Jody was first his therapist before she became his parents' therapist. Ruby then became a «therapist» together with Jody. The bishop who recommended Adam and his ex-wife to Jody for therapy was the brother of the man who owned the center where Jody worked. Jessie had to work for her aunt and she said that the church paid for the therapy sessions for those who could not pay for themselves. Jessie believe that Jody hats all men.
Your perspective on the Franke/Hildebrant scandal and abuse is incredibly enlightening. Thank you for providing those of us outside of Mormon culture your insights. It's one thing to understand how a religion works and is set up, but it's entirely different to be able to be taken into the reactive mindset that a person brought up in that culture being told the kind of things Hildebrant regularly taught her clients would have.
Sam, I'm ex -FLDS, and I thought I'd remind you that our culture had their variation of being sent to a camp. Young people who were "struggling" in their faith would often be sent to Canada to work under Winston or out to Beryl to help on the farm etc.
Think about all the money Jodi is making as she gets clients to pay for Mental Fitness Coaching - especially when anything, incuding Sports Illustrated magazines, can be porn. Also, when Jodi can tell you she had a dream that you sinned so you must be lying....
Please get your facts right about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before you spread false info. If an LDS husband is not worthy that does NOT keep his wife or kids out of the highest celestial kingdom as long as they are being righteous themselves.
What!? Sister wives has 18 seasons!?! I think I stopped watching at season 3 seasons because I thought it was going to be over, I cannot believe there are 18 seasons. Lol
Jody wrote a book and tells about her sexual abuse as a child. She talks about two different situations So I believe she has absolute deep routed hatred for men. 🙏
Love the show. I feel like taking down Jodie is good but still doesn’t even scratch the surface of the real corruption in the church. The Elders and their archaic beliefs. CULTISH😮
You need to dive deeper into the topic of the wilderness camps for teens. The "troubled teen" insldustry is fraught with abuse and I genuinely hope that the facility your family was involved in was one of the few places where actual help was being given. Look up Paris Hinton's story as well as a tick-tocker who does makeup content (i cannot recall her name). It is interesting to hear the path of the religion being a jump off point for this specific case.
This is Pagan ideology. Each individual is accountable for their acceptance of Jesus Christ's salvation. Each person must repent and accept Jesus as their Lord. Husbands not necessary.
Mormonism is severe abuse to the human spirit… I can see how anyone getting out would need something new to adhere to. New rules to follow… like the “pro noun” religion”. When you refer to Jesse as “they” all that happens for me, is confusion… who is this “they”. So, although I am so glad Jesse got out… I pray she and all the others that got out, don’t join the new pro noun religion… cuz, I’ve felt “shamed” for not getting someone’s pro nouns correct…. Sounds like another strict religion to me… a non religious person…..
Never mormon here. Every podcast I learn something…there are « degrees » of heaven ? The burden of « worthiness » is on the believer ? So far from Christianity ! It’s so radically different.
When I was married, I got diagnosed with a mental illness. The hospital hooked me up with a non-LDS therapist. Thankfully. But the Bishop at the time asked me if she wanted us to get a divorced. I was pretty sure no.
Loved this episode! Just flagging that the legislation in Utah only allows for a maximum total jail sentence of 30 years, even though all the offences carry 15years.
Love the collabs you did with Amanda Rae. Would love to see you interview other Kingston ex-members. Priscilla and Jacob are two who were locked up as teens in a detention facility for not agreeing with polygamy. The Kingstons use this place, which is run like a juvenile hall, to send “rebellious” kids to. Michelle would be a great one to interview too. She introduces herself as being inbred; mother married uncle for starters. Leah Garcia, a friend of Amanda Rae, is from the AUB, was on Escaping Polygamy, knows some of the Kody Brown family, and has a lot of good stuff to say on that group. Leah’s parents were recruited from England. All have been on Amanda’s channel. Would be interesting to hear from them from a different perspective. Keep up the great work you do!
It's an obsurdity that LDS believes women are of no value to God without their husbands. A just God tries us as individuals. The Bible says with God, there is no male nor female nor slave nor free, but all are one (meaning of equal dignity and eternal worth through creation and redemption). We women don't lose our ability to be redeemed whenever a man forfeits his own eternal life. As a matter of fact, everyone has eternal life whether in Heaven or Hell. The created nature of souls don't stop their immortal nature when a marriage is over. Science has proven that nature is energy which changes with discintegration. It doesn't cease to exist. Even the souls of animals return to God.
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ not of works; it is the gift of God. There is one Mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. He alone can take us to Heaven.
I know of someone who went about 20 years ago her parents had them kidnapper in the middle of the night and took her all the way to Utah definitely out-of-state I think they have to sign over parental rights for that and it affected her so badly she didn't go home once she was eighteen she stayed there with the people who disciplined her for however long

I really like Without a Crystal Ball, she does commentary on mostly Duggars and Sister Wives.
Wonder if Jodi was @bused by men in her childhood or because it seems like she just bashes men and from what I gather a lot of these religious sects are male controlled and she is trying to go against that idea anyway she can … yet the church isn’t paying attention… and keep referring her
I would love to hear from your parents about their experiences with the group home! There’s such a huge variety of these programs from ones like the one you knew of, a single family home, all the way to nationally known reform boarding schools. Have you looked into Paris Hilton’s experience being taken to one of these programs? These types of programs are also very common where I live in Missouri because for a long time these programs did not have to report anything at all to the state, including who was working there or what kids were attending.
Lots of kids go missing (trafficked) thru these troubled teen rehabilitation centers, camps & houses! It's a huge cash grab & free labor as well. The many forms of abuse the kids that dont go missing have to endure is insane. Im not saying all are bad, but the % of good ones are not too high. Ppl need to wake up if they think so & so (of high power in ANY area religion, politics/gov, the arts, tech, etc) "would never do these kinds of things"!🤦🏼♀️ Its so sad. If you haven't watched Paris Hiltons documentary I highly recommend that as a soft start down the rabbit hole!
They do have some of those wilderness camps in Arizona, but we are Utah's neighbors and we probably have a larger Mormon population than other states, especially in Mesa and small towns up north. I think Ruby actually sent her son to the one in Arizona called ANASAZI.
After hearing the ins and outs of this socalled church, I am flabbergasted, I just cannot get that people believe this utter nonsense, like the predestination of afterlife!! So LDS people let their life on earth ruin by believing this idiocy???

I think a key part in this whole thing is the LDS church does not teach mental health, does not promote consent and safety, or even teach what abuse, boundaries or ethical therapy looks like. LDS people are taught to just follow the hierarchy of power blindly, especially bishops. When we quit seeing Jodi our bishop even questioned our testimonies.
We're so sorry to hear this and glad you recognized the signs right away.
The channel “mormon stories” was looking for others people who had been referred to her. Think about reaching out to them.
Your family had a close call!
Not true… the LDS church teaches emotional resiliency classes to help with those who have mental issues.
So sad for you to be so ignorant of the teachings of LDS.
It's quiet opposite of Christian ideology to work for the marriage to stay
One of the things I heard somewhere on the interwebs was that the reason the 12 year old boy was tied up and starved was that Jodi/Ruby believed he was either molesting his sisters or others. They accused the boy of sexual deviancy, but it sounds like Jodi is just obsessed with that topic, and assumes all the men/boys sent to her have that problem. That poor kid.
Thank you for this insight. So sad!
Ruby also claimed that Russell was watching porn at the age of 3. If so why was it available in the Franke home?
Jessie believed that Jodi hated all men.
We're so sorry! It is sad to think about a child being told someone like that 😟
Same here. 42 and still struggle with shorts and bathing suits. Even affection still feels awkward
❤️from Australia 🇦🇺.
you are so sweet person❤
Me too. I try to remember, but it’s awkward because it’s new. Worth it to show my support.
That’s a very open minded way of putting it
Thank you for your commentary.
Right?! I’m fascinated by the Mormon belief system. It is truly bizarre. Also it appears to be exhausting. All works and no faith.
@@patriciahisoire5753 very exhausting, very unattainable for anyone to meet even the standard expectations because there seems to be little room for normal human error. Also, very oppressive towards women and young girls. Seems the only ones who thrive are the ones in charge or at the top of the pecking order.
This woman is so horrifying, I wouldn't be able to watch a documentary on her. It's a relief you were focused on the theological aspects of this story. Even then, I had to do something else while listening, to sort of divert part of my brain.
Sorry about all the comments... I am commenting as I watch! But you guys did a superb job of explaining how women cannot enter the celestial kingdon without being sealed to a worthy man. I don't think I knew that! WOW.
Thank you! 😊
We have agency and choice even after this life. If you havent listened to this last general conference about the kingdoms they talk about it id recommend it if your looking for more insight. Not starting any fighting just interesting to hear your point of view. 🤟🏽
@@KeyG123 In the temple ceremony it used to say women have to obey their husband. Women would wear a face covering and get treated like 2nd class citizens in the Church. Women hold no authority in the LDS church. Women have absolutely no say in any decision the Church makes.
Oh yes! The Troubled Youth Industry in Utah. Paris Hilton did a whole expose on them as she was kidnapped into one when she was a "troubled teen"
Oh wow!
Jodi has unresolved trauma - for the person who’s only tool is a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail!
Interesting perspective. I think saying the church is all about family is an illusion. It's more about them enforcing their version of family. They are perfectly okay with families being torn apart if they don't conform to their version. Such a shame.
Thank you for using Jessi’s pronouns without fail. Best wishes from an ally (she/her)
Yeah, I use they/them pronouns and you guys NAILED it. It's so touching to see allies use it so easily in conversation!!!!
It's not healthy. But my question is, does she have more than 1 personality?
@@irenez7439 May I ask why you ask? Do you not understand what being nonbinary and they/them pronouns? If you cannot find good answers on your own, let me know. I'm happy to share. If you're being maliscious, I believe you will agree that Jessi has seen enough of evil, so you may as well delete your comment. Happy Sunday!
@Ragt0p it makes no sense to me. I totally understand that she went through trauma, but changing your pronouns doesn't change what happened to you. I also have been through trauma, not to the degree she went through. Thank you for being kind, but I want free speech. You can say anything even change your pronouns, so I would like to say kindly that I don't need to use them. It's still a free country. The whole comment section is about her they/them pronouns. It should be about her trauma or more about jody and Ruby's evil deeds.
@@irenez7439 Thanks for replying. For once I think exchange of ideas and opinions actually is happening in a YT comment section 😊 I don’t think we need to understand to be understanding. I may have difficulty understanding something, such as how people are religious. But as long as their beliefs do not harm them, me or somebody else, I’m happy to not call them out on being religious. As for pronouns, I don’t mean that changing pronouns will help with trauma. More that adding to trauma by not respecting chosen pronouns is not helpful 💕 If Jessi is more comfortable with they/them, I’m happy they have found some comfort.
Thank you for sharing this insight.
Paris Hilton talks about physical and sexual abuse at one of those camps.
Thank you finally for sharing the spiritual aspects on this one. It's indeed hard to think about this case.
You're very welcome! We are glad you enjoyed our perspective. Thank you for watching 😊
Sam, I'm ex -FLDS, and I thought I'd remind you that our culture had their variation of being sent to a camp. Young people who were "struggling" in their faith would often be sent to Canada to work under Winston or out to Beryl to help on the farm etc.
Have y'all heard of Jordan and McKay they're prominent ex Mormon RUclipsrs?
Think about all the money Jodi is making as she gets clients to pay for Mental Fitness Coaching - especially when anything, incuding Sports Illustrated magazines, can be porn.
Also, when Jodi can tell you she had a dream that you sinned so you must be lying....
Oh my gosh...the fact that she thinks that she can have dreams about another person's sins is ridiculous.

Lol
This has gone worldwide, they cannot try to sweep under the rug, thank god, just throw away the key

This could potentially be a Daybell-esque case if one of the kids hadn't escaped.
Jody wrote a book and tells about her sexual abuse as a child. She talks about two different situations So I believe she has absolute deep routed hatred for men. 🙏
You are so iconic for honoring Jessi's pronouns! Thank you!!!
Just makes the rest of the world more confused when the story is being told!
This was the most interesting video ive seen.
I couldn't understand why Jodi and Ruby would be so evil.
Now I kinda understand
Mormonism is a perform or .... religion. While God is Grace and love.
Thank you. Crazy to think the church comes before family!
love your perspectives on issues like this, thanks for putting out this content even when it may be difficult!!
This is the side of the story I have been curious about.
👍 Thanks
Love the show. I feel like taking down Jodie is good but still doesn’t even scratch the surface of the real corruption in the church. The Elders and their archaic beliefs. CULTISH😮
I have several tattoos that my parents still don't know about. I'm 40. 😂
There are several content creators who have opened up about horrendous abuse and trauma from religious based wilderness camps for “troubled” kids.
Excellent take on the religious rationale Jodi used to manipulate her clients. Thanks
Has the LDS released any comments on this case?
All of us make mistakes even the LDS church. Because they were fooled by Jodi. Which proves we have to be careful on who we trust with our lives.
This Mormon Church is the worst, abuse goes on 😡the bishop refered the members to Jodi Hildebrandt so disgusting and evil😈😈
I think Jodi has some psychological issues, and the bishops around her have not been educated enough to recognize them.
Never mormon here. Every podcast I learn something…there are « degrees » of heaven ? The burden of « worthiness » is on the believer ? So far from Christianity ! It’s so radically different.
Thank you for covering this. I would appreciated any updates from you and your opinions, as the case moves on.
Thank you for explaining how the church is so closely related to this case. The explanation of the beliefs.
It must be a Utah thing for church members to be threatened with being sent away because that is not a thing elsewhere nor is it a mainstream idea.
When I was married, I got diagnosed with a mental illness. The hospital hooked me up with a non-LDS therapist. Thankfully. But the Bishop at the time asked me if she wanted us to get a divorced. I was pretty sure no.
It is unethical to share any other person’s comments or what was discussed in therapy with any other person or group!!
Loved this episode! Just flagging that the legislation in Utah only allows for a maximum total jail sentence of 30 years, even though all the offences carry 15years.
Thanks for letting us know! That is important info to point out in future videos!

Do y'all ever speak of the child s e x abuse in the mormon belief
I was so hoping you would discuss this!
I went to one of those schools. I could talk about it for hours but I’ll just say, while not ALL BAD it’s very much MOSTLY BAD.
We're so sorry you had to experience that!
Those kids are scared for life now 😢
It's an obsurdity that LDS believes women are of no value to God without their husbands.
Have you ever commentated on Scientology? Would love to hear you thoughts and comparisons

Wow I had no idea this was part of the priesthood.
I know of someone who went about 20 years ago her parents had them kidnapper in the middle of the night and took her all the way to Utah definitely out-of-state I think they have to sign over parental rights for that and it affected her so badly she didn't go home once she was eighteen she stayed there with the people who disciplined her for however long
My brother was always hard to deal with. But I miss him so much. He died of depression. Guys are you going to review Jill Duggar's memoir? I was talking to my friend, and she already finished it!! Wonder if Jodi was @bused by men in her childhood or because it seems like she just bashes men and from what I gather a lot of these religious sects are male controlled and she is trying to go against that idea anyway she can … yet the church isn’t paying attention… and keep referring her

Awesome video! Thank you for the in depth explanations. It helps clarify the high demand religious issues. You are amazing!!! 👍🙏💝
Thank you!
This answers my question on another video about what happens to wives of Mormons.
What about “old maids.”
