Kinda surprised how new this channel is with how well done the videos are! Honestly from what I've seen the terraria community loves uplifting series like this so I think good things are coming your way!! Really fun series so far
You need to click “help” on the guide more. Two of his early lines are to go mining for ores and that a furnace is required for smelting bars. (Although the wiki says he only says it when there’s no ores or bars are in your inventory respectively) Most potions have descriptions that say their effects like spelunker potion lighting up ores and treasures, mining potion increasing mining speed, and “sandstorm in a bottle” being an equitable item that gives a double jump.
Try getting stone and torches and bringing them to a crafting table. And get an anvil from the merchant or craft it with a furnace so you can make armor and weapons. I like the series.
And ask the guide if you're feeling aimless. If an NPC has moved in, they will be able to move in again, should they perish, as long as there is vacant, suitable housing. Coins can be placed. Quick stack is a very neat button. It puts all items that have not been favorited into nearby chests. You can favorite items with alt+lmb, I think. The quick stack button is the one with a chest in your inventory. Check your keybinds. I think that's all you should know. edit: Oh, actually, one more thing; listen to the Calamity OST!
The potions help give you effects for a period of time (just like Minecraft) some of them even give you X-ray for ores....also if an item says "equipable" then equip it to use its effects...(you will find alot of these)
When you craft or find weapons and accessories they have a chance of being special. Sometimes they can show up with a special "enchantment" that can make them stronger or weaker than what their effects showed you before you made the weapon for instance. Your cactus sword has a special "enchantment" on it, its up to you if its a negative or positive enchantment. This effect has a chance to roll for any weapon and accessories you find/make.
You found a sandstorm in the bottle item or something like that which lets you double jump if you equip it, you put it in your chest. you can mine the ores and then turn them into bars using your furnace. then you can use the bars at an anvil. your cactus sword was worse than usual bc it just happened to have a debuff when you crafted it. you can make better weapons with bars or just find one
If you talk to the guide and click on "crafting" he'll tell you everything you can make out of anything in your inventory. You just have to put the item into the little box that appears
Breaking a gravestone at night spawns a ghost. Also, having 7 gravestones in an area creates a graveyard mini-biome, which also spawns ghosts.
Conclusion: Ghosts are bad
Conclusion: Gravestones are bad
You should stream to get better advice from chat since master mode

Don't forget it's 2D Minecraft, so mine ores and loot shit in night, explore world in day, but prioritization looting and mining gives much more
NO 2D MINECRAFT PLEASE
try making gold or platunum armour it the best armour you can get preboss
you should stream it in twitch bc ppl could tell you some tips
I’ve always liked the idea of streaming, but I have a crappy laptop so i’d never be able to provide a stream of actual quality
