Thank you for a really great video. You validated a lot that I was unsure of for the care & feeding of the great carbon steel products made-in has.... and I will be ordering a carbon steel griddle in about 15 minutes! Appreciate you and all of the info videos made-in puts out.
if you have any gunk on your griddle when your done cooking heat it up a little more and put a little water on it while its hot and the gunk will come right off with a paper towel
Love it. Wish it was one inch shorter to easily fit on 30” range. I have to use a rag each time so it doesn’t scratch. That being said, it’s better than too short like all the others
We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press. This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.
Why would you design it to be setup north and south on the stove? Most people don’t want a narrow cooking surface and to lean forward. Does it fit over gas burners going horizontal?
Just got one. I wanted one with handle covers, but they were out of stock with no eta on these. Hoping I can get some of those later at the store in Austin.
Hi. On your webpage, I see the dimensions of the entire griddle including handles but what is the cook surface dimensions minus the handles. I want to make sure it fits my vintage gen air electric stove top. Thanks!
My glass top stove has burners that are all different sizes. To place a griddle like this (front to back) covering two burners would be to have the large main burner up front, and then a much smaller burner in the back, therefore having uneven heating surfaces. I am also uncertain if the burners are all the same in terms of heat intensity/power (i.e. is a level "4" the same medium heat on the front as it is on the back?). Is this a problem with using a product like this?
Yes it will be uneven, although I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily a problem. It depends on what you’re doing. Having a hotter and colder zone can be beneficial.
Is there a temperature at which I will start to burn off my seasoning? I tend to use high temperatures on the grill with my cast-iron and sometimes I burn off the seasoning and have to start seasoning all over again.
What's the first dish that you'll make on this griddle?
Smishysmash
Carne asada, then smash of course
It’s a Philly Cheesesteak👌🏽
I want to make a smash burger and then steak!
Tortillas salvadoreñas hecho a mano - or that’s what I’ll tell my husband to
Make!
I love his presentation style. Very easy to follow and calming to listen to. I could listen to him talk about griddling all day!

Yes!
Mine is getting here tomorrow. I'm making birria quesadillas.
I foolishly didn't order the set with the press. Is the press sold separately?
It is!
I plan to order one👍🏾
Does it work well on induction?

this is super helpful. smash burger summer here i come!
Glad it was helpful! Can't wait to see your smash burgers!
Can’t find that same brittle anywhere. Amazon, or your site
Hey James, thanks for watching! There's a link to our Griddle in the description of this video. Let us know if you find it!
Mine is on the way. 😊
I want that oven

seasoning doesnt burn off cast iron. Improper cleaning, cooking acidic foods, or liquids that steam removes the seasoning, not high heat.
FIRST DISH- PANCAKES FOR SURE
Check out the Johnny Cakes recipe on the Made In RUclips channel too!
I thought you’re not supposed use water to clean
brb eating grilled paninis all summer
Griddle is cool and all.... but that stainless steel press though!

italian leather....sheeesh!
yes but sewn in the US too. I like my made in products but the leather handles are a little too cute on this piece. But I am curious to try one.
@@markinjhawkland724 Got mine a few weeks ago and they leather handles are removable--quite an impressive piece!
Right! Maybe those could be optional and price it lower. Or, at least use a more durable, practical material for handles on a cooking product.
Bacon grease will spatter all over the stove . The truth.
If you are going to cook you are going to have messes to clean.
