What do you think about the Franklin Planner pages? Have you used them before? 🦇🏏 Also leave me a comment if there is a paper planner page you would like to see me recreate in OneNote.
My husband purchased FP back in the 90’s when he started his career / I made my own copycat pages in various notebooks because we were too poor for me to also purchase FP. I was so jealous of him! 😂 When you say “reasonable amount” of to-do items for each day, are you saving your other list of someday to-do’s on your inbox folder? I just realized my ambitions for today are far too high, especially considering my full time work! 😮 Juat wanting to confirm what my hero Crystal does. 😊
🦇 just entered the new role at my job and this planner page will be invaluable. Now off to see if I have the skills to create it.! lol thanks for sharing about the binge to watch your channel.
The first planner I used “back in the day” was the Franklin Planner. I stopped using it because they had no digital planner; I wanted to go digital. Thank you for taking the time to create a digital daily Franklin Planner template. I enjoyed learning exactly how you created it. I’m definitely going to incorporate this template into my current planner. 🦇
Omg! I just found your channel. I love Franklin and I love Onenote. Thank you for sharing this video, I have been looking for something like this for a long time for Onenote. If you ever decide to start selling your templates, I would love to purchase!
Thank you for watching. I am so glad this video was helpful. I also appreciate your encouragement.🥰 I will let you know if I start selling my planners template pages
Yes I did. I have links to daily pages in gray on the side and the black links at the top are for monthly, weekly and other things. Thanks for watching 😃
Crystal, I love that you share exactly how you use your planner and your planning process. Great for those of us that are Planner challenged! Thanks so much for your wonderful videos. They are a great jumping off point.
Was raised on Franklin Covey Planner. Although GTD is amazing especially works well for my Project Manager work, this is what continues to be my "bent" so I will combine. Thank you for your videos, thank you for being such an impspiration.🦇
Thanks for checking out my channel, I'm glad you like my videos. 🙂 I might suggest that you go to the 2024 playlist on my channel, it walks you step by step through how I set up my planner for this year .
All the way from South Africa, this video came up as a new recommendation. Absolutely what I was looking for for 2025. Between Planning Annie Digital Planner for work and this Daily for Franklin Planner, I will really enjoy putting my new role as a project manager onto One Note. Thank you so much. Looking forward to seeing your other videos.
Thanks for watching from South Africa! I'm glad I could help you plan your new role! I recommend making your planner as functional with tables as possible. Check out my video on project management as well. It might give you a jump start. ruclips.net/video/iO2BKSqoEpE/видео.htmlsi=4n9iqthVIoOcZBc3
🦇 Hi Crystal. Loved this video. I haven’t heard of the Franklyn planner system before but I think this could be a really good system to try. I have always tried to seperate my “work” life from my personal life but this system brings a more holistic way of thinking about life in general. I’m going to give it a try. Thanks again. Ps love your sleeping cat in the background ❤
Thanks for watching, I’m glad you liked it! It’s been so helpful for me to combine my work and personal lives into one planner. It really helps me manage my time. 😻🥰 Thanks for noticing my cat. She loves to sleep on that couch!!!
This is very interesting. I've been seriously contemplating purchasing a physical Franklin Planner because the digital tools have fallen short of my expectations. I used both the Franklin Planner and Day Timers in the 80's and 90's.
Thanks for sharing. There is something about a physical planner that is so comforting, isn't there? I just loved mine. I had the big letter size! But the flexibility, linking pages and search feature in OneNote really make digital the right choice for me. Thank you for watching.
Hi Crystal! I just found you today! I wish I had found you 2 weeks ago. I JUST returned to Franklin 2 weeks ago after a long hiatus where I used a hobonichi or Jibon Tecko for my planners. This fall I started 2 new jobs that require a lot of notetaking and careful tracking of my time. Soni got a 2-page per day Franklin that was on discount. I am using this for October, November and December 24. I am totally intrigued with your OneNote planner but do not know how to even begin. I would need to slightly modify your sheets to make it work for both jobs. Can you help me get started?
You are so welcome to this channel! It’s exciting to have you here. Feel free to send me a message on Facebook or email so we can talk. Links are in the description of every video. If you want to start at the beginning check out my 2024 playlist. I start very slowly with setting up a new notebook, creating the background and building my pages. You can skip around the things you don't need.
That is amazing! I have tried to recreate a planner in One Note before, but have failed. I have an analog Franklin planner right now. How did you make the weeks compass replicate on the daily pages? Is there a setting to do that? Thank you for sharing!
You can do it! I just put the blank compass on Monday, filled it out for the week like I would on paper. Then copy and paste it to the rest of the week. You could do it all at once but I prefer to do it each day as I am planning. It makes in more intentional and helps me focus on the big rocks. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
🦇The first planner I used as an adult was the Franklin Planner system. I really liked the system, but I needed more flexibility in a planner (and I couldn't understand how a day started only at 8am😂), so I switched to bullet journalling. Really cool how you recreated it to work for you! One question: do you link the hourly portion to a calendar?
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you liked the video, and I totally understand the 8 am start time 😂. Even the elementary school I taught at didn't start till 9:00. I do not link the hourly section to my calendar, but I do have a link to my Google calendar on my page (at the top in the black tabs)! It works for me because I use my planner to intentionally write down what i have previously scheduled.
@CrystalClearLife lol I actually meant my day started earlier than 8am because I always had a small hobby farm that I worked in before my day job. So I always had to adjust my planners to an earlier start time. 😊 Really glad I found your channel !
Hello Crystal. I'm actually a digital nerd with lots of great tools, but somehow I long for paper and a pen. I think that's even a trend right now. 2 questions: 1. Why don't you just use an analog Franklin Planner? What are the main reasons you stay digital? 2. Wouldn't it at least be "nice" to use your digital Franklin Planner on a tablet with a pen? That would be a symbiosis of both worlds.
Hello, Great questions! I do keep my church notebook as paper and pen, because all of my devices are tied up live streaming the service for those who can't attend in person. 🤣 But the rest of my things are digital in OneNote. The 3 main reasons that I use digital over paper are what I call the 3 S's Search, Sync and Share. I can easily search for information, notes, projects, phone numbers, etc in any of my present or past notebooks. Searching works great. Syncing that information to all of my devices means that I always have it with me. So if I am in a doctors office and they ask questions about medications or shots, I have that information. And finally Share. I can share my notebooks with my family so that they also can add and find information as needed. It is a win, win, win situation. I do not have to be burdened with carrying multiple notebooks in my backpack. Regarding the digital Franklin on a tablet. I do that, in fact this morning while drinking my coffee I sat and planned today's schedule on my iPad with the apple pencil using the scribbler nib. Best of both worlds indeed! Thanks so much for the great questions. It sounds like I just wrote the script for an upcoming video! Thanks again for watching. Happy planning.
@@CrystalClearLife Thank you for your detailed answer. Yes, from my point of view, your points and a few others speak in favor of digital planning. I just have a feeling that tells me how nice it would be to use a paper planner again. But what also bothers me is redundancy. I am currently testing daily planning in OneNote. But this is limited to a calendar screenshot with notes via iPad Pencil and the notes over the course of the day (via keyboard).
I would suggest that you start with my 2024 playlist. At the beginning I will take you step by step in building the planner. ruclips.net/p/PLq7-CgaPQOfxCqnU2fHlOgbjmVrHa2d3w&si=-MJd7DrQuV1tjwY0 If you have specific things you would like to learn, tell me more details so I can pick a video for you. Crystal I don't see where you are using your tags in the FP?
Yes I used to use Franklin Planner.
I love them. I have the cd so I can print them out to this day.

I love Franklin. I used them religiously until they started getting so expensive. I miss using them.
Bat. I love Franklin Planners! Thank you for this video. ❤
Me too! 😄 Thanks for watching!
Bat. I cant believe you made me nostalgic for GTD. Used to love my Franklin Covey and i rely on OneNote daily for work. Looks like a natural fit!
It is so great to be able to use OneNote to keep our life organized! The Franklin planner format works great for me in OneNote.

I like how you explained how you used the planner but I didn’t see how you created it which is what I really wanted to find out
Maybe I should do a step by step video, there have been a couple of people asking about that. I will get to work on it.
I found one of your earlier videos and am watching it now on how to create a planner in One Note
