- I loose my tender outboard engine (yamaha 9.9hp) overboard in about 10 meters of water. I manage to recover it and row most of the 7.5 NM back home and bring it back to life.

There are multiple inexpensive metal lock devices that slip over the clamps and both keep them from loosening and keep thieves from taking the motor. Best of luck.
Bugga! & lucky. Id say sorry for speaking to soon (last post), but I'm guessing this happen long before that. I'm checking out a 48v 2150w 150lb outboard from Alib $500, should be easier fix if it decides to go for a swim.
Run a length of chain or cable with padlock, to help deter theft, which will also help stop the motor hitting the drink (unless you flip it, next weeks vid 😜)

Well said! I actually helped a guy pull his outboard out of the drink the other day. Exact same thing happened to him. Must be a thing 🤷♂️

hahaha yep! my girlfriend was like "hey, what are you doing?" and i was like "rowing home". Girlfriend - "why?". me - "because my outboard fell off. Girlfriend - non stop laughter
