Very fair review especially when you are buying these with personal funds and you want the drone you paid twice as much for to be better but when you can give an honest opinion not a “bias” opinion that’s what I personally like to see👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks, new update just came out, took an hour yesterday. Looking forward to seeing if it helped out at all. Has all the features now except Follow Me. I use the Circle all the time at work.
I just bought a used Mavic 2 pro i would like to know if you can please share some settings for roof inspections. Where can i buy batteries for it etc. Thanks in advance.
Do you recommended any lenses? With my Mavic Air 2 in direct sunlight I can see Hail Damage perfectly and with out direct sunlight I can’t see it at all.
Thanks for the review. I do like the digital lens I have on my Enterprise Advance. Just hate that the drones do not take pictures or video when the zoom is used. I will use Adobe photo later to show the same things I saw. What application do you use to spot and report?
I had the Dual Enterprise, but now I have a 640 Flir Thermo for the Inspire2, now I just need a gimbal…they are $450….arrgggg I just use LumaFusion to edit the video’s. Was using Drone Deploy for mapping and such. But now it looks like I am going to have to switch to ugCS for work I’m doing with the Department of Interior
yes, the new updates have improved the camera, but to be honest, i use my Mini3 pro know, does everthing perfect and it so much quiter and no one even knows its there, also so easy to carry around and I love the light remote with the screen
i bought the mini 3 pro and even with the latest firmware updates, it was really hard to tell hail impact hits. so had to return in, the sensor on the mavic 3 seems significantly better. Any update on this ?
As a roofer and a drone nut, I still agree that you really have to put your eyes on hail damage, pictures don’t show and splatter which is important for an over all inspection. Honestly I use my Mini3 now over anything but that’s really just to get a general inspection
@@b4ugo yeah I completely agree, nothing will ever be better than to visually see and touch the impact, however I did purchase the Mavic 3 Pro and the telephoto lenses have seriously helped visually see damage.
Wow. This hasn’t been my experience. I’m wondering how your m3 is doing now with the updates. I’m a PA in Hawaii, Nevada, Colorado and Utah. I prefer using the M3 but still have my P4Pv2 and M2P and M2Z.
With the updates the M3 is fine now, took a while, even though I still like the old Zoom more,,,,,actually I use my Mini3 pro because no one knows its there.
Yes, finally about a month ago, the GPS hooks up now also. Very disappointed they would release this drone months to early to get it out before Christmas, not my Mini3 is running a month behind
A year later the question should now be whether the 70mm lens on the Air 3 is a better choice than the 24mm lens on the Mavic Classic or the Mavic 3 Pro.
Mavic 3 pro and mini 4 pro is the tool i use to inspect old chimneys and roof gutters, for pictures the Mavic 3 Hasselblad optics are stellar in resolution.
Jesse, with al the new updates on the Mavic 3 I think they are pretty close, I still think the zoom feature works better and more stable because that is what it was created to do, thanks for watching
I would get the Mavic2 Zoom, should get one for around $8-$900 and they work every time. The M3 can do more things well overall but for inspections Instill use my Zoom. Just got the Enterprise Advanced!
@@b4ugo Thanks for the info again. Where can I get one for $900? I am not seeing them on DJI website anymore and I would like to buy the extended 2 year warranty when I get one.
I did the update (it took almost and hour) now i have been down with Covid the last three days, cant wait to really try its new features and see if the camera is more consistent
@@b4ugo I actually tried mine when 1st got it in sitting room probably 4ft from wall and the digital zoom could not see a think. I did the same after update it’s sitting there on and it could make out the pattern on wallpaper on 28x if that helps ya give it a wee test
Lol, I just Bought the enterprise advanced and it was 7700 and now they released the Mavic3 Thermo Drone for 5000, that’s pretty sad. The maverick three’s finally got everything all figured out and now it really takes good pictures. But for roof inspections now I seem to always go to my mini three because no one knows it’s in the air and it doesn’t fantastic job
Did you do the new firmware updates? Because it fixes the focus issues on the telephoto camera. Because the Mavic 3 is way better than the Mavic 2 zoom in every way! I sold my Mavic 2 zoom.
Funny, they released the update the day I finished editing this, I waited weeks after I made this to post it. I just updated today, if it’s better I’ll definitely update the video
@@b4ugo James, Get better soon. I would like to hear an update from you regarding the Mavic 3. I just passed my Canadian Advanced RPAS Cert and was considering the Mavic 3. I've been holding off because of the bugs I keep seeing/reading about.
Good information!, Nice to see you home
Great review & comparison between the 2 James, very informative.
Não consigo parar de assistir seus vídeos pois o conhecimento para voar com drone tem que chegar a perfeição obrigado.

Thanks Gosta. Funny, the Mini3 is my everyday flyer now because it’s so quit and so tiny and gets the job done just fine
@@b4ugodid anything change with firmware updates?
Great review, they both look like awesome drones.
Good stuff. Thanks for posting this. Cheers, Chuck (N.E. Florida) : +)

Have you tried the Air 3 using 3x zoom? If so can you post an image of the 100 bill. I need to see if I can read roof HVAC labels.
Thanks
The Air3 hasn’t been released yet, sorry

Did they fix the firmware for the mav 3 for the closeup zoom shots?
So did they?

@@b4ugo Awesome thank you for making this video. Very helpful. So you would now recommend the Mavic 3 for roof inspections over the 2 and the minis?
It's better than the holy stone that I got
Did you update the firmware? 1.000.500 is supposed to change the entire ballgame for the DJI Mavic 3
Looking forward to trying it, been down for three days with Covid, aaarrrggggg
@@b4ugo Yikes, well get better!
I would love to have one just too pricey for me
