I installed these in my Gladiator a few months ago. It made a noticeable difference in interior sound quality and overall looks. I would recommend the HotHead brand to anyone looking at installing these on their JT or JL.
I put the Hot Heads in my JTR. Even with my old ears the improvement in music sound quality was amazing. It does help with controlling heat build up in the Louisiana summer. I highly recommend this product. Rob you forgot to point the area where there isn't foil and where you shouldn't put the sound assassin strip due to the location of the satellite receiver. Which is in the sound bar on the passenger side. Removing the rear top alone you need to open the sliding rear window and reach through it to get leverage.
Huh, don't know how I missed this episode. Things have been crazy but looking into this before next winter. Debating covering most of the hard top with Kilmat then maybe topping with something like this. Also some sort of heat shield for the inner fire wall and driver floor mat. It got up to 86 here, crazy weather but man i could feel that exhaust radiate up through the floor and firewall for the first time.
Rob good editing! I made another trip to Ft Worth today quick 9 hour drive. The grand daughters said it was nigh quieter going back home with the headliners than it was on the trip down without them. They could hear through their headphones going home it was to loud before (at highway speeds 70-75). I’m thinking more sound insulation is in the future.
@@robmotiveplus a db test before an after to show the difference would have been great. I bought a red Mojave about 1 month ago coming from a 2019 BMW X3, soundproofing the Jeep sounds like a great idea...
Thanks for doing this one, its something I have on the back burner for my Gladiator. I hear the Hotheads liners are better than the Mopar ones and a bit cheaper too. Not only do they help soundproof, but for me, more importantly, they keep the inside several degrees cooler.
It was originally designed for heat reduction the name “Hot Heads”😉. They also help keep it warmer in the winter. They do help with noise but you will not confuse it with a Mercedes for quietness it is still a JEEP! It is worth the cost and the time to install for quieter ride at least to me.
Great video, been looking at these or similar, and it was great to see it step by step. Curious about the reduced road noise, and heat/cool properties.
Good video 👌🏽
Thanks 👍
Cool thanks 😊
I like this RandallMotive channel.
Lol!!

Seems like a good solution to reduce noise and the install was pretty simple too👍
great video - anyone use this along with the Toplift Pro - any issues?
Thanks 👍
What grit did you use?
I don’t recall offhand. Might be in the video though🤔
NEAT
Awesome sound
Huh?
Where can you purchase the items?
It’s in the video👍
Nice install video.
Thanks Tim 👍

It seemed very quiet when we went for a ride. Randall said it made a big difference 👍
Good tip, I have not removed it yet but would like cruise without sometimes.
Nice video. Thanks for doing this
Thanks for watching John👍

This was a very easy install👍
Acetone is a mean volatile.
Yup. And a great adhesive prep👍
Nice Job, looks great.
Came out really well👍
Looks beautiful and great color choice on the gladiator. I have not had an issue with sound so never would have thought of these.
It is a gorgeous Gladdy for sure. I'm not too sensitive to the sound of it myself, but if you are this is a great solution 👍
Nice install video. All of the reviews on their website are very good. Might have to place an order.
Very quality stuff and simple install👍
Looks great! I have been debating on doing this mod.
Randall says it makes a huge difference 👍
@@robmotiveplus good to know, thanks for the video!
@@robmotiveplus and tell Randall I really like his Mojave.
It’s a worthwhile mod IMO. Did this same kit on my JK.
@@CallOnJesus it's much better quality than the Mopar product.
It looks really good! Can’t wait to get the report on the noise reduction
It’s a pretty cool project. Definitely take the top off👍
Hotheads or boom mat?
Gotta watch the video👍
@@robmotiveplus haha I did. I meant which do you prefer for sound dampening.
I have only had experience with one so I really can’t say🤔
@@robmotiveplus so would you say it’s worth it? Or is the sound dampening barely noticeable.
Randall says it’s worth it. I personally don’t have issue with the sound👍

Thanks Randall! That’s great to hear! It seemed pretty quiet when we test drove it👍
But, does it work??? How quiet is it ?
Randall told me it makes a big difference from stock👍

@@MrTopgear67 i will tell you this product is leaps and bounds better than the Mopar headliner.

They are pretty good quality pieces. Easy to install and (according to Randall) really made a big difference👍
Nice I wonder if the truck would stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter?
I would think a bit🤔

Rob, is 4’ 9” about right on your Gladys board? Where did you get the decal for the board?
Have a look here: ruclips.net/video/I35edXK2dzQ/видео.html
and here: ruclips.net/video/aQMTtmC5BKs/видео.html for the decal.
Wow just checked out the price with the strips and the side panels $413.95 u.s or $ 550 cdn ! I'm not a cheap ass but that seems excessive lol
You want to play...ya gotta pay!! The kit is top notch I will say👍
Isn’t that how much mopar headliner is? Or might be even more actually.
They are worth it IMO
@@MrCarCrazy hi guy!!!

Not sure about heat reduction (although it does have the reflective material). Randall said he definitely notices a sound difference for the better👍
Very nice. I love my added padding to mine. Super quiet ride. Just curious where in Texas are you? I’m in the Houston area
We took it for a ride afterwards. Randall said it made a big difference 👍
Wait! This would hinder my ability to hear my after market exhaust and cold air filter.
Roll the windows down 😂😁
@@robmotiveplus LOL!
That’s a lot of adhesion! Lol
Yup! Not going anywhere 👍
