I still love me some SotC and to some degree I actually kind of like the horse controls being the way they are, but I agree the game isn't perfect. Kudos to you for being respectful about everyone's differences! :D
That collab partner was truly a comedy genius. XD I have no shame in being one of the few people that actually liked Secret Rings but I can see why so many people are upset with it. I appreciated the way SEGA wanted to use motion controls for Sonic, it made sense. Could've been better but somehow I can play it with little problems. It had a great sense of speed in fact it's probably the fastest Sonic game out there. And there are some levels that I can actually enjoy playing through. Well done list.
BEST, OPENING STATEMENT, EVER. Congratulations, Adam. Ya mighta created a new meme with those words. I was thinking something like: ''Luigi's Final Smash: It's a fucking vacuum cleaner.''
I think Nakoruru ran away from SS Sen and then went into the Game Central Station only to find herself standing before the entrance to The King of Fighters XIV! She eventually went inside the game with a point of no return. Boldly go Nako. New adventures await you...
Nakoruru isn't the one that's going Turbo. Akuma left Street Fighter V before the game was even released (we don't see him in General Story Mode) and enters Tekken 7: Fated Retribution because he's bored and wants to fight strong opponents there!
I really enjoy your Top 10's, but can you please get a new mic already? Just get something basic like a Meteor Mic, it'll make the sound quality and overall enjoyment of your Top 10's that much better.
I heavily disagree with your number 8. I never really saw the complaint with Agro. Ironically, for as much shit as the barren overworld gets, it's the main reason as to why complaining about Agro is mostly dumb: you're not really going to get damaged during a ride on him, only if you decided "Hey, let's jump off into a pit" or something. You will need him for 3 colossi, but the first of these, Basaran, is the 9th colossus, so Argo, as a necessity for a boss, isn't necessary until about half-way through the game, and by that point, you've more than likely picked up on something to deal with Agro. Doesn't help that one of the colossi that you need Agro for is Phalanx, the 13th colossus, and one who is completely pacifistic at that. And about the camera, again, the barren overworld means that you're not going to really be damaged because of it. As for the boss fights, there's a lock-on feature, so the problem with the camera during those should be non-existent in theory. That said, I heavily agree with number 4. Just...fuck that game and its counter-intuitive battle system.
***** Damn, what a list. I'm happy I never played many of these games. I did play X7 and it wasn't that bad. Nowadays, it's just awful. The music was the best thing.
Which is why I refuse to download Mario Kart Tour. I remember when it first came out it was popular in my college for...maybe a week...and then it faded away. Even Super Mario Run outlasted that, living for probably a month or 2 before fading away
10. This is why I like hear opinions first. 9. I remember this game... 8. Pro tip - If you hold X while controlling Agro, you can control her more easily. 7. SOMEONE'S been watching The Autarch... 6. So What you're saying is this game should go swab the DECK? ...No? 5. I've never understood Dragon Ball Z... 4. So what you're saying is I should save my money? 3. This is why I stick to Super Smash Bros. 2. I've heard a lot about this game. 1. Never heard of it... And I feel like it's probably for the best...
IssyBlueKitten It was much better than X7 from my view, but yeah.... Disappointing is not equal bad, while it's pretty decent game it's still disappointing compared to what people (especially Megaman fans) want from it. Ant the way I see QG react to it, I think he too is disappointed.
I meant to post this a while ago but I forgot to. 10. Never played the series 9. I've heard the controls were bad but I haven't played it. I, however, tried Black Knight, the sequel, and it was decent. 8. Don't feel guilty, I completely agree with you 100%. 7. I COMPLETELY agree with you! That might just be the worst game I've ever played! And that Slow Start example was a PERFECT example, no matter what Zerarick says. 6. Never played, and now that you talk about it, I'm glad I haven't. 5. Never played 4. Of course, we saw it coming. Though I personally LOVED that game. DON'T JUDGE ME FOR SAYING THAT. 3. Never played 2. I haven't played it because after X2 and X3 I gave up on the series. 1. Wow
With all the games you've mention, I've only played one of them; Shadow of the Colossus. And you will never change my mind on how much I love that game.
***** So, any hints of your next countdown? If not, might I recommend the Top Eight Members of the Order of No Quarter from Shovel Knight? Here's my list 8. Plague Knight 7. Propeller Knight 6. Mole Knight 5. King Knight 4. Tinker Knight 3. Treasure Knight 2. Polar Knight 1. Specter Knight
10. I've never really gotten into most RPGs, so I'll take your word for it. 9. Oh, yes. I heard about this one when looking up '06, as these two project split the Sonic Team. 8. I remember you mentioned this in one of your 25 Cents Worth...also, CJ said it pretty well himself: "Realism doesn't always equal fun." 7. Oh...I honestly thought it would be XIII. 6. One of the biggest examples the Burning Trinity used for save points. 5. That "style" really goes badly with DBZ...and just for one character? Sheesh... 4. Guess it's not worth sticking it out... 3. Anyone who saw Top 10 Comebacks probably saw this coming. 2. What?! This is only Number 2? Number 1 must really be bad... 1. Wow...
Two thoughts about the #1 segment. A) You spent very little time talking about the gameplay. It's pretty obvious just from looking at the footage how poorly the game flows (which is *unforgivable* in the fighting genre), but I would've liked a bit more elaboration. B) This is a countdown about *disappointing* games. In the later segments (but especially noticeable with #1) you completely forgot to discuss your anticipation for them. And if we're talking about disappointment, you need two elements: anticipation and the failure to deliver. You neglected to talk about one half of what makes a disappointment. The portion of your audience that's familiar with you knows that you love the three franchises represented in the top three, but you made a pretty glaring mistake in assuming that *everybody* who watches this is already aware that you're a big Mega Man nut or a fan of SNK. That said, this countdown actually made me laugh out loud at points and it has a great sense of comedic timing. Keep up the good work in honing that particular skill.
I can't agree with that opinion about Shadow of the Colossus, the camera was fine, the overworld was beautiful and was impressive for the PS2, and the gameplay was fun and unique.
*dramatic buildup to number 1* Me: oh god! That much worse than x7 you say? But surely thats impossible!? O.O *QG's introductory "this game is horrifying" speech!* Me: *gulp* OH GOD! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE SO BAD!? BRACE YOURSELF FOR TRUE TERROR!! XO *Dramatic reveal of number 1!!!* Me: ...wait ...whats that? :/
10: Wow... 9: Yeah, I could tell from a mile away that this game sucks harder than Dust Man during Spring Cleaning... Although I heard Sonic and the Black Knight was better. 8: Even I didn't care about the game... It's just boring, and I'd rather face a Horde of Rathalos and Rathians during Mating season than Sixteen Colossi playing Hide-and-Seek IN THE MOUNTAINS! 7: Yeah, I didn't care either. I'd rather stick with Final Fantasy IV AND IX. 6: To quote Chuggaaconroy... The Heart of the cards sucks. In this game, that is. 5: Yeah, No... 4: WHAT. A LETDOWN. Just... a LETDOWN. 3: You talked about it briefly in your Comebacks list, and now... I understand why you say it sucks. 2: Well, it was obvious... In a way. 1: Oh my lord... It sounds REALLY painful.
FINALLY SOME ONE WHO AGREES X7 IS NOT ALL THAT BAD not a good game a god awful game for sure BUT NOT AS BAD AS FUCKING X6 WERE THEY PLANED TO END THE SERIES BUT X6 EXISTS BECAUSE SOMETIMES FUCK CAPCOM.
I'm kind of the same. X7 is absolutely my least favorite game in the X series, but I still like it well enough to revisit it every now and then. Heck, I've actually revisited it more times than X8, just because I hate how grind-heavy X8 is with collecting currency for the shop. And that tedium I think is far worse than any of the flaws in X7, even if X8 is by far a superior game aside from that.
... I'm gonna bet I'm the only guy who gives a damn about Tizoc, MUCH like another certain character in BlazBlue series. He's actually one of my favorite characters in the whole SNK company (around top 15). Want to object about it? COME AT ME, BRO. And to be honest, I have never heard you talking about Samurai Shodown, so Sen being the #1 spot comes off as a surprise to me, and a point made well done. Planning to talk about SS one day? I still will not lose hope that one day SS will be back. Look at Mortal Kombat 9, man, everyone thought franchise's grinded after Armageddon, and then voila.
I honestly loved Tizoc since his mask is a Bird and hes a decent grappler And didnt realized Sen was a bad game but still SamSho 2019 was a really good game
I actually like the BlazBlue Anime, OK? I also happen to like Final Fantasy 13 trilogy and other certain games and stuff that most people don't like. Alright, Pitchforks on the left, Blood Scythes on the Right, COME GET ME!
Final Fantasy 13 is one of my favorite Final Fantasy games. Although I personally think it would've been better without the sequels, since I felt like they only got worse and worse with the stories, and the necessity for a sequel in the first place was completely forced.
Thank you for mentioning that tragedy that was Final Fantasy III on the DS. It hurts me deeply that all future versions of it stem from that one instead of the Famicom original. Job Sickness, the artificial difficulty of all bosses moving twice in one turn, the rebalancing of job classes. All problems I found in this updated version that make me want to replay the original.
10. I've actually heard that this game is pretty good, but interestingly only by people who never played its predecessors... 9. Agreed, though basically every 3D Sonic game is a disappointment. So far, I've only enjoyed Colors, and of course Generations. 8. I could not disagree with you more. SotC is a brilliant masterpiece in my opinion, too bad you didn't feel the same way. 7. I was told by so many people I would love this game, but upon playing it, I didn't find a single thing I liked about it, aside from the graphics. 6. Never played, nor frankly even heard of this game. 5. I've never enjoyed DB games, but this one looks especially shitty. 4. Sticker Star made me lose so much respect for Miyamoto. Honestly, his interference with this game pisses me off so much I'm going to have to stop myself before I turn this into another rant about how he ruined what could have been one of the best RPGs of all time. 3. Like with #6, I've never heard of this game, so it's hard for me to comment on it. 2. A friend of mine says he actually enjoyed this game... Based on your burning hatred for it, I doubt you two would get along. 1. A bit anti-climatic, but I've never heard of this game... Sorry for such an boring response to #1. Oh well, based on your comments, I'm guessing this isn't a game I should feel about never having played.
Hey, do you happen to have any footage of the All-Star Battle version of Dio's Road Roller Da? Or have you tried and found it not that easy to work with compared to the 2D version?
meta527II Eh, for me it was the fact that they were teasing it up as the "grand combination of all Mario Karts!" Yet the only things I would say I liked were the new items and tracks. The character roster was terrible imo, despite the Koopa Kids, the battle mode feels too big and the tracks don't fit it, and the items aren't balanced. I agree on the DLC though.
+Freezeflame22 :P Every single Mario Kart ever is disappointing to me: no story, shitty characters, Mario is a character I dislike and the game is very boring and repetitive!
i can understand where your coming from i asume you played Crash Team Racing or Diddy Kong racing or Need for Speed? and yeah the Mario kart Franchise needs an Adventure mode
#8: "Any game designer who sacrifices fun to make an artistic statement is obviously stuck so far up his own ass he’s in danger of choking with his own head." Yahtzee - Zero Punctuation
The golden principle is that the purpose of video games is to be fun. If they sacrifice fun for anything, then they blaspheme to the golden principle. Simple as that.
It's really unfortunate how Capcom killed Mega Man X with X7. They should've stuck with a completely 2D game and have X appear as a starter (even though Axl would still take the role as main protagonist). Blue Water Studios should've voices the characters starting from this game instead of Command Mission, and they should've fixed the characters' portrayals in the game. If all that was in X7, I'd imagine this game as what X1 was to the SNES and X4 was to the PSX. We need to find a time machine and convince Capcom to not make this game an abomination.
I'll be honest here. Sonic Boom was very disappointing for me. It wasn't because of the fact that the game was glitchy, the dialogue was too cheesy, or the music was boring. It was because most of the developers decided to quit while the game was still being worked on during the summer. I was especially disappointed because in October, I attended my very first convention, Sonic Boom, in New York City, and the entire staff had me really psyched for this game and I was looking forward to playing it only to find out a few days after the game was released that it was unfinished. The fact that most of the workers left and the remaining team members lied to us about it several months later really broke my heart. I still played it, but it still remained a shame to me ever since.
Sadly, I actually liked it when it first came out, but only when it first came out. Because I was one of those people who was all about the motion control hype, and legitimately felt like motion controls made games more inherently fun than using buttons, just because of how fresh of a concept it was. Soon as that hype eventually died down though, I started to recognize a lot of early Wii games for the trash heaps they truly were.
Awesome countdown as always Adam. Now, it's not quite what I meant by a Yu-Gi-Oh countdown. But eh, it's still pretty good. Oh and also, my condolances to your poor, innocent 360. I hope the poor lass survives the traumas.
FUCK, Shadow of the Colossus is terrible. Everything in that game is a failure. It seems they forgot that a game is INTERACTIVE, and therefore needs to be playable.
Pokémon: Battle Revolution... A game that sends shivers down my spine... A game so disappointing... So retched... And it's not on the list, oh well. Question: have you played it?
***** Considering the previous other Console Pokemon games we got Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, which introduce an interesting story that didn't involve collecting Gym Badges. You go about and capture the other trainers Pokemons all cause they some of them might have a "Shadow Pokemon" in their party. Shadow Pokemon are like regular pokemon, but with a nasty habit of trying to harm trainers. And before the GC we mostly had the 2 Pokemon Stadiums for the N64 which in their own right were fun. However Battle Revolution is something not worth your money to spend on. It's like Pokemon Stadium where you can battle the AI's, however you can only have the rental pokemons they have, on top of that in order to play with more "proper pokemons" you need either games from Gen 4 and transfer your pokemon team into Revolution. You can battle online friends, however cause the Wii's Wi-fi is already gone. it's completely useless.
***** It was really short on content for being full-priced. I had a lot of fun with the game myself, but looking back, that was because I had a legion of epic Pokemon from my Diamond version to unleash upon the 3D world. Considering that's 100 bucks and upwards of 300 hours I spent between both games just to do that, it's understandable why so many people felt ripped off.
I honestly think you were a little too hard on Shadow of the Colossus. Yeah, it's very much a love it-or-hate it game, but I feel like some of your complaints can be re-attributed. The camera's meant to show off the scenery more than anything else, and there's always buttons to look behind Wander and to lock onto the colossus. The controls aren't stiff quite so much as they are VERY different, and the biggest trick to steering Agro is simply to trust her, rather than controlling her every move like you do Epona. As for the Monster Hunter comparison, I could argue that the controls in that game also feel fairly clunky. After a ton of Dark Souls and Skyrim, it took me a LONG time to get used to Monster Hunter's controls again, especially where the camera is concerned. It's also a much longer and slower-paced game than SotC, and many people aren't willing to put in that much time grinding for Rathalos tails. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE playing MH4U. I'm just trying to say that it's easy to oversee flaws in things you like, while exaggerating the flaws of things you don't. And to anyone who reads down this far, Secret Rings is a guilty pleasure of mine. There, I said it. The internet may now explode at me.
10. ...K. 9. I've avoided this at all costs. 8. Still going to try play this. 7. ...Eh. 6. Oh yeah. Most definitely. 5. ...Yeah, staying away from this. 4. What is this? That one episode of Recess? 3. Okay. 2. Called it. 1. ...K.
oh boy here we go: 10. yeah never played and glad too just by hearing this 9. see number 10 (and i feel like thats gonna be a revolving theme here) 8. Well i can't argue with that though i did enjoy it but i hated the small boss the boar (seriously hard as hell) 7. yeah i'll stick to the other games i got thank you very much and it looks like the Aurtoch is in agreement with you Adam 6. Oh boy this game at least the game before it was fun i stopped playing it when i got to the chasing through the subway to face Bandit Keith AGAIN (seriously) oh and lets not forget that if you lose at that point you have to start over again F* we are experiencing technical difficults please return back after the melt down* okay lets move on 5.Thanks but i'll stick to B3 thank you very much though B2 is more disapointing for me 4.and all aboard the irony train and see number 10 also i really never got into the Paper mario series tbh 3.Yeah i'll leave what you call it to describe the game in a nutshell 2. *Sigh* Why am i surprised this game got here and not the top spot everyone hear adam out Pleas for the love of Arceus do AND I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS GAME i hate this game only three bosses one of which was the second to last boss was good and an AWFUL story all i can say is WHAT CAN BE WORSE 1. UGH NOT THIS GAME since we both grew up on this series we can agree no doubt i loved playing the original and this well you pretty much spoke for me Nice work adam
I return to the video and brought more games that disappoints me. WWE All Stars - The Controls are jerky and the WWE superstars look like they took too many painkillers. Capcom Fighting Jam - An uninspired 2D Fighting game that made up from the cancelled Capcom All Stars and the sprites looked dated. Maximo vs. Army of Zin - It was a step back from the original as your boxers made you too strong even your armor. WWE '12 - It was a glitchy mess and the Road of Wrestlemania mode wasn't very good. Sonic Boom:Rise of Lyric - A game that destroyed and put Sega's relationship with Nintendo in a rut.
***** Exactly. The first Paper Mario took the typical story of a Mario game and gave it a new sense of depth that we hadn't seen before (except for perhaps Super Mario RPG). Sticker Star's story just took it and make it in to a chore. I'd even go as far to say it's perhaps the most soulless story ever in a Mario game, spinoff or main game.
Lemme provide my opinion on each segment, ready....go! 10: generic and bland, with some added fake difficulty. That does not sound like an RPG i would enjoy, and i love RPG's. 9: I actually really like this game, in fact...it is one of my favourite sonic games. I understand your opinion about it though, because the controls are indeed a bit strange. But i like how they tried some new stuff. But i do not really agree with your opinion on 3d sonic games, he is supposed to be a fast badass who cuts through his opponents at high speeds. I enjoyed the old sonic games, but the 3d sonic games really got me into the series. But whatever, to each their own i guess. 8: I have yet to play this game, so not much to comment. I need to see for myself. 7: I have played some final fantasy, and that stuff does not sound that good to me. Especially the characters and that slow start system or whatever i should call it. 6: Why take good stuff out of games? It seems pointless. 5: That looks like some generic ripoff of street fighter, with DBZ characters. I haven't seen the show, but that does not look like a game that would do it justice. 4: Oooh boy. As someone who has played the first 3 paper mario games, the things i have heard about this one sadden me. The paper mario games had decent stories with some cool lore, this one basically has the story of every mario game ever. The series also has nice characters, here we have a very dumb and bitchy sticker and just toads...and not even good toad characters. Paper mario had the gameplay of a true RPG, even super paper mario had RPG elements. This one has no leveling so fighting is worthless, and you can only fight with items you use up. And there is some trial and error mixed in too at the bosses..........what were they thinking with this?! 3: Nothing to really comment on here, i do not know the series at all. 2: You tore apart this game many times already, so this did not come as a surprise at all. But from what i have played in Megaman X1, 2 and 3, this seems like a big disappointment. And it destroyed the series, but still.....i want to play command mission some day. 1: It does not look that bad, but the gameplay seems atrocious beyond belief. But still, i do not have much since i have not played it. My personal biggest disappointment of a game: Touhou 7.5 Immaterial and Missing power. Why? The story is decent, and the music is good as always. But the gameplay is very bad. Special moves and spellcards need button combinations that i try my best to activate but it still takes long, characters are really unbalanced, most of it is just spamming projectiles till you win and the controls are clunky. Also the Ai is pretty unforgiving even on normal mode, where it somehow seems to counter everything you throw at it....unless you spam projectiles. Luckily the next touhou fighting games were much better, and i hope the upcoming one will live up too.
MrTheboomboxer i recently Downloaded Mega man X command Mission for my game cube emulator and trust me if your into RPGs your possibly going to enjoy this one
*Giggles* The most recent disappointing game I've played is Epic Mickey 2. I was so disappointed that I never finished it. I hate the story of Shadow of Colossus so you'll never get me to play it.
THANK YOU, man!!!! I thought I was the only one that didn't understand the hype for Shadow of Colossus. I was bored after a few minutes. I also thought Journey is VERY overrated too.
+kenterminatedbygoogle And Candy Crush, Ruzzle, Angry Birds, COD and EVERY SINGLE MOBILE GAME IS SO OVERRATED THAT I THINK THAT MOBILE GAMES ARE NOT TRUE GAMES
To be honest, with some of these choices & things you mention on here and some of your other videos, it feels like you're just following other countdown makers opinions rather than your own. My picks would be: Epic Mickey 2 (Wii Version): Story is not as good as the first game, AI Oswald can be a nuisance at times and is kinda on the short side. Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault: Gameplay can get annoyingly tedious at times, flawed weapon levelling system, unbalanced online and has the WORST R&C VILLAIN EVER! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity: Story wasn't as good as the last two games and even rehashes story elements from them. Game & Wario: While a pretty fun game, it's bit shallow and short to boot. And (Flame Shield up) Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric: While I don't think it's an absolute train wreck or worse than 06 like what the mass majority of the internet thinks (which is untrue btw), I just found it average at best and mediocre at worst. And I find it's whole hate train is starting to get real old, real fast now....
I don't hate the game as much as other people do, just found it mediocore and overall disappointing. I put the flame shield up for having an opinion WAY different the rest of the internet.
Yeah with the exception of that, I was mainly talking about the Sonic & The Secret Rings and Final Fantasy III spots as I felt those were ripped straight out of The Autarch's and UtterSpartan's vids.
9: YES! YES! I HATE THAT GOD FORSAKEN GAME TOO! Don't get me wrong, I prefer modern Sonic over the genesis games (for the most part), but this was easily my worst experience with the franchise. 7: Yay Final Fantasy 13 didn't make the list (not great, but good in my eyes). Well now I know to avoid 3. 4: Glad I didn't buy that one, well there's always hope for the next Paper Mario game. 3: Well glad I bought KOF 13 on a steam sale instead of this. 2: As someone who hasn't played this, I can't look at the gameplay footage without thinking, "wow, that looks like it could've been good".
Sonic and The Secret Rings isn't too bad in my opinion. I mean yeah the controls are kinda slippery and the multitude of missions that had to be done to advance the story was annoying, but to be honest, I felt it was still a solid game. Nothing amazing, but it was fine at least in my opinion.
The dragon ball budokai 3 soundtrack you showed? It also played on the previous entry, dragon ball budokai 2. It plays on the snow stage (second part of the campaign).
Gohauld is that the one on the PS1 OH for the love of Gods Why did i waste my time downloading that game im sticking to the DS yu-gi-oh games for now on specifically the 5ds series and Zexal
10:Haven't Heard Of It 9:Not As Bad As Shattered Crystal 8:This Was No 1 On Mavericks List 7:Play The Ps Vita 6:Never Heard Of The Games 5:Yet Another Anime Videogame 4:At Least Colour Splash Was Good 3:Wtf Made The Game ? 2:X7 Rant 1:What The Actual F**k Is This Bulls**t
I hate the fact that people say realism in games is important. It flat out ruins the game form me. It's the biggest reason why I hated most of Kid Icarus: Uprising and was my most disappointing game. I would still replay it, but not as regularly as others.
***** No, I think it lasts forever. Doesn't say "for a short time" AND YOU USUALLY ONLY GET ONE! Dur. And even if It's only a limited amount of time, Lightweight does the same thing and increases movement speed.
I’ll be honest, it may have only been an honorable mention but I thought harmony of Dissonance was pretty good. I find it extremely easy to pick up and play. The ability to combine spells and weapons was so fun, and another thing that I really like about it is the movement. Being able to slide, dash, dive after a double jump just made it so fluent. I will agree tho that the music, while atmospheric, isn’t the best. But I still quite liked harmony of dissonance, tho tbh all the gba vanias are pretty damn good
What's the difference between Secret of Mana and Tales in terms of co-op? I think that they both allow player 2 to control the party members, but I don't know because I played Phantasia, Symphonia and Abyss but I've never played Secret of Mana.
First, major props for the Baten Kaitos shoutout. More people need to play that game. That said, Arc Rise Fantasia listed in the Dishonorables...to each their own, I guess.
Holy shit, i come here from your new Least Favorite pokemon list and I jump to the Megaman X7 segment and then HOLY SHIT SO MUCH FUCKING SCREAMING, countdown maker come a long way hadn't they?
"The Dream is dead..."
Samurai Spirits 2019: *peels back a piece of the screen and says* ...are you sure about that?
Praise be to competent and caring game companies!!!!
I guess it's kind of randomly asking but does anybody know a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
John Lennon?
I still love me some SotC and to some degree I actually kind of like the horse controls being the way they are, but I agree the game isn't perfect. Kudos to you for being respectful about everyone's differences! :D
Thanks. I understand a lot of people like SotC, and I can understand why, but it just wasn't for me.
I played it for the first time a few years ago and loved it. 4th favorite game of all time even!
But yeah it's not for everyone.
***** other than taiketsu and budokai tenkaichi 3. there is no bad DBZ game. just to let you know
***** alkso. if you either have a PS3 or XBOX360. play burst limit. best in the series
Bardock SkyWalker Ultimate Battle 22, DBZ Kinect, Sagas...
Well done list.
cjszero01 That collab partner sucked... all the dirt off of QG’s carpet.
Anyhoo, now that CJ has played Secret Rings on-stream, I wonder if this still holds up.
Never has my opinion matched someone else's more.
Megaman X7 really? 16:00
Let's be honest, most of us thought x7 was going to be no.1
yes yes we did
same
Yes
Actually, yes.
I thought it was gonna be No 2 or No 1
BEST, OPENING STATEMENT, EVER.
Pure priestess went TURBO!!
Nakoruru isn't the one that's going Turbo. Akuma left Street Fighter V before the game was even released (we don't see him in General Story Mode) and enters Tekken 7: Fated Retribution because he's bored and wants to fight strong opponents there!
*gasp*!
Wha?!
MINDBLOWN!!
I really enjoy your Top 10's, but can you please get a new mic already? Just get something basic like a Meteor Mic, it'll make the sound quality and overall enjoyment of your Top 10's that much better.
Nathaniel!? Wow I wouldn’t expect you to be here
Hi
Wow Nathaniel ice to see you here
I like how everyone is reacting to Nathaniel like 3 years after his comment
5 years ago, our God has graced us with his presence.
Wait Mai isn't in King Of Fighters 12?! Your most famous character next to Terry and you don't use her?! For shame
***** Damn, what a list. I'm happy I never played many of these games. I did play X7 and it wasn't that bad. Nowadays, it's just awful. The music was the best thing.
Samurai Shodown Sen? More like Samurai Shodown Sin!
+luke johnston hahahahahahahahahahaha!
You Samurai shodown game on 2019
I actually like it
Good thing the 2019 game came out
THAT'S WHAT I SAID!
New Clash of Q comfirmed!
Megaman X7 vs, SSS (Samurai Showdown Sen)
The worse will win!
14:35 @Quarter Guy
Dang. Favorite KOF character ever right here
16:52
Mario Kart Tour: Allow me to introduce myself.
Which is why I refuse to download Mario Kart Tour. I remember when it first came out it was popular in my college for...maybe a week...and then it faded away. Even Super Mario Run outlasted that, living for probably a month or 2 before fading away
Special mention to Yoshi's new island.
Fuck that game.
What's wrong with it?
enderbane231 it is the sticker star of Yoshi games.
so disappointing
It hurts to just think about it.
...I like sticker star AND New island.
Mago. D Snowman I found it to be descent.
If you ask me, you can play Sonic O6...just prepare to cover your eyes when you see Elise start to try something disgusting. Trust me,Quarter Guy.
Fuck it, why not?
Samurai Showdown Sen?
More like Samurai Showdown SIN!!!
If this list just made today I think we'll see Mighty No.9 here, am I right?
I'd bet it'd be number 9! GET IIIIITTT??????????????????
(God that was terrible.)
Sadly no. But if it was mentioned I bet it would be next to X7 for ruining the classic series. XD
IssyBlueKitten It was much better than X7 from my view, but yeah.... Disappointing is not equal bad, while it's pretty decent game it's still disappointing compared to what people (especially Megaman fans) want from it.
Ant the way I see QG react to it, I think he too is disappointed.
Your right
I meant to post this a while ago but I forgot to.
10. Never played the series
5. Never played
4. Of course, we saw it coming. Though I personally LOVED that game. DON'T JUDGE ME FOR SAYING THAT.
3. Never played
2. I haven't played it because after X2 and X3 I gave up on the series.
1. Wow
With all the games you've mention, I've only played one of them; Shadow of the Colossus. And you will never change my mind on how much I love that game.
Nor am I trying to.
***** So, any hints of your next countdown? If not, might I recommend the Top Eight Members of the Order of No Quarter from Shovel Knight?
Here's my list
8. Plague Knight
7. Propeller Knight
6. Mole Knight
5. King Knight
4. Tinker Knight
3. Treasure Knight
2. Polar Knight
1. Specter Knight
Omnicidal Clown You think Plague Knight is worst?! UNACCEPTABLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
ToxicPenguin I just found his boss battle to be the most annoying.
Omnicidal Clown I found it to be the easiest and unnoteworthy... so ya your placement is fine there. Personally my fav is Polar.
Great video, Adam! I really like the faster pace your recent videos have been taking. Keep up the good work.
(Fast forward to 2019...)
(slice)
"Boy, am I ever glad to have been proven wrong."
--Quarter Guy,
I always wondered what the hell happened to Samurai Showdown...
Now I know...And I wish I didnt T-T
Same here and do you have any disappointing games.
10. I've never really gotten into most RPGs, so I'll take your word for it.
9. Oh, yes. I heard about this one when looking up '06, as these two project split the Sonic Team.
8. I remember you mentioned this in one of your 25 Cents Worth...also, CJ said it pretty well himself: "Realism doesn't always equal fun."
1. Wow...
X7 may have been atrocious, but it helped us get Command Mission, which is honestly one of the most underrated games I've ever played.
He said he WANTED to like this game.
Jamie O'Donnell thatsss...not really a fair reason...
does anybody like Sonic Unleashed?
JuanMunzerAsakura I do :p
I LOVE SONIC UNLEASHED! Heck I prefer Sonic Unleashed over Sonic Colors IMHO
JuanMunzerAsakura I LOVE Sonic Unleashed.
JuanMunzerAsakura
I LOVE S.U its one of my favrite games of all time
It's mine too.
5:20 99% of the comments: shadow of the colossus fans rise
1% of the comments: I don’t like the game that much
I respect your opinion though
I can't agree with that opinion about Shadow of the Colossus, the camera was fine, the overworld was beautiful and was impressive for the PS2, and the gameplay was fun and unique.
*dramatic buildup to number 1*
Me: oh god! That much worse than x7 you say? But surely thats impossible!? O.O
*QG's introductory "this game is horrifying" speech!*
Me: *gulp* OH GOD! WHAT COULD POSSIBLY BE SO BAD!? BRACE YOURSELF FOR TRUE TERROR!! XO
*Dramatic reveal of number 1!!!*
Me: ...wait ...whats that? :/
TheNoobofHearts my reaction to a T
4:53 DITTO I WANT A SEQUEL TO !
He really should review Samurai Shōdown Sen at some point.
#2 on this list is actually a guilty pleasure for me.
Cacklettabean2003 _ at least x6 had better level design and felt like the series and didn’t notch up the characters
@Quarterguy: Just curious, is your opening theme music inspired by Dragonball Z- Budokai 2? I always hear many similarities with that theme
He talked about Samurai Shodown in the nostalgic games list.
I thought Tizoc was popular actually :p
(AlsoifwecouldhaveRockandHotarubackkthxbai)
I honestly loved Tizoc since his mask is a Bird and hes a decent grappler
And didnt realized Sen was a bad game but still SamSho 2019 was a really good game
"Where's my Rhythm Thief sequel?"
Where's MY HarmoKnight sequel?
Where's my Ristar sequel?
Where’s my Mother 3 sequel?
Well hey. We got Samurai Showdown back.
“This is my collab partner for today. It’s a fucking vacuum cleaner.” This phrase needs to be said more often
*lowers pitchfork* Crap, Dio....
You can beat him easily with Funny Valentine or Pucci! (I'm a nerd sorry)
I've got the roller ready........
bethany waters Pucci?! Getting him to fight Dio like trying to get QG to say Blazblue sucks, (Which it totally doesn't by the way.) you gober.
I have Instant death Protection. (raises pitchfork)
Ethan Edwards That won't protect you from the roller
Am I the only one that came back to this video after the new Samurai Showdown game got released?
Luckily, Samurai Showdown isn’t dead anymore.
good
Since WHEN are JoshScorcher and the Autarch A-TIER countdown artists?!
I found Mario Kart 8 to be disappointing. Not a bad game, but I was still expecting much more
I personally thought it mostly lived up to my expectations but I'll admit I was MASSIVELY disappointed by the dlc.
meta527II Eh, for me it was the fact that they were teasing it up as the "grand combination of all Mario Karts!" Yet the only things I would say I liked were the new items and tracks. The character roster was terrible imo, despite the Koopa Kids, the battle mode feels too big and the tracks don't fit it, and the items aren't balanced. I agree on the DLC though.
Freezeflame22 :P *Cough cough* coin Power up * cough *
+Freezeflame22 :P Every single Mario Kart ever is disappointing to me: no story, shitty characters, Mario is a character I dislike and the game is very boring and repetitive!
i can understand where your coming from i asume you played Crash Team Racing or Diddy Kong racing or Need for Speed? and yeah the Mario kart Franchise needs an Adventure mode
#8: "Any game designer who sacrifices fun to make an artistic statement is
obviously stuck so far up his own ass he’s in danger of choking with his
own head." Yahtzee - Zero Punctuation
+DarkLordDemaar Makes sense.
The golden principle is that the purpose of video games is to be fun. If they sacrifice fun for anything, then they blaspheme to the golden principle. Simple as that.
DarkLordDemaar That's like saying if a director focuses more on cinematography than he is a narcisist
Glad X8 was good (even tho that was my 1st Mega Man Game I’ve played since grew up with the Ps2)
Most of that game's voice actors such as Peter Von Gromm returned in ZX Advent
I friggin hate Sonic & the Secret Rings....your explanation of that game sums up my thoughts on that train wreck of a game!
ImTheMagicalDolphin And very few agree with you. I can understand Adam's argument, but not yours.
***** Oh, sorry, was I too _simple_ for you? Do I need to act like I'm talking to a child?
ImTheMagicalDolphin No. At least Adam can acknowledge that it's a good game, just that he was disappointed in it.
***** He said it was bad......
***** No, I genuinely think it is a terrible game.
I look in my inbox and I'm like. YES! ANOTHER QG COUNTDOWN!!!!
Pokémon: Battle Revolution... A game that sends shivers down my spine... A game so disappointing... So retched... And it's not on the list, oh well. Question: have you played it?
You gotta admit the OST is awesome, though. :D
Why was it so bad?
I remember being so excited for it as a kid, then when I bought it, I sold the game SUPER quickly.
Your collab partner is a vacuum? That sucks.
10. ...K.
9. I've avoided this at all costs.
8. Still going to try play this.
7. ...Eh.
6. Oh yeah. Most definitely.
5. ...Yeah, staying away from this.
4. What is this? That one episode of Recess?
3. Okay.
2. Called it.
1. ...K.
oh boy here we go:
10. yeah never played and glad too just by hearing this
9. see number 10 (and i feel like thats gonna be a revolving theme here)
8. Well i can't argue with that though i did enjoy it but i hated the small boss the boar (seriously hard as hell)
7. yeah i'll stick to the other games i got thank you very much and it looks like the Aurtoch is in agreement with you Adam
6. Oh boy this game at least the game before it was fun i stopped playing it when i got to the chasing through the subway to face Bandit Keith AGAIN (seriously) oh and lets not forget that if you lose at that point you have to start over again F* we are experiencing technical difficults please return back after the melt down* okay lets move on
5.Thanks but i'll stick to B3 thank you very much though B2 is more disapointing for me
4.and all aboard the irony train and see number 10 also i really never got into the Paper mario series tbh
3.Yeah i'll leave what you call it to describe the game in a nutshell
2. *Sigh* Why am i surprised this game got here and not the top spot everyone hear adam out Pleas for the love of Arceus do AND I REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS GAME i hate this game only three bosses one of which was the second to last boss was good and an AWFUL story all i can say is WHAT CAN BE WORSE
1. UGH NOT THIS GAME since we both grew up on this series we can agree no doubt i loved playing the original and this well you pretty much spoke for me
Nice work adam
#7: Yus I knew you'd pick FF3 DS. Worst FF game ever!! xD
Adam, your collab partner needs his own show. NOW. ;)
Maple Samurai I bet it would suck... I’ll see myself out
the one game that disappointed me the most is Paper Mario: Sticker star. ALL ITEM HOARDERS BEWARE THIS GAME!
Everyone should beware that game.
I LOVE that game. Really. The story isn't bad. In fact, The story was the same in the FIRST PAPER MARIO GAME!
***** You're using my statement against the game.
Honestly, QG, you could've worked in more lines for Mr. Dirt Devil into your script. He was practically silent!
Wow. I was wrong about #1. Good job QG. Great video.
I thought Sonic Boom.
Chao's Playmate Gaming -____-
I've never even heard of #1 prior to this countdown. O_o
Rubyfir3 Same here.
Rubyfir3 He's mentioned it before in a different countdown, I think top 10 Arcade games
The part with the vaccuum cleaner always has me in stitches.
Keira Lunar Well...i like RPG's. So then it is settled.
You are one of my favourite you tubers and I really enjoyed this video I'd love to see you do a top 100 games of all time keep up the good work
I add DmC:Devil May Cry as #1 that game was terrible
Pablo Delgado FUCK YOU! I liked DmC!
You mad? Story was trash
Pablo Delgado it wasn't the best story, but I enjoyed the gameplay and story enough to want more from this reboot series along with the original!
*Giggles* The most recent disappointing game I've played is Epic Mickey 2. I was so disappointed that I never finished it.
I hate the story of Shadow of Colossus so you'll never get me to play it.
FINALLY!!! SOMEONE WHO AGREES WITH ON STICKER STAR!!!!
lets be honest we all agreed
HavikTheNintendoReploid Most do actually. It's certainly a game that deserves reticule from all.
Ethan Sarin LOOK, PAPER MARIO 1 HAD THE SAME STORY! AND DON'T USE MY STATEMENT AGAINST ME!
Ethan Edwards at least they fleshed it out a bit in the first game but in sticker star NOPE
@@drebby2805 people hating Sticker star has been done to death
My picks would be:
Epic Mickey 2 (Wii Version): Story is not as good as the first game, AI Oswald can be a nuisance at times and is kinda on the short side.
HazzaBozza Flame shield for hating Sonic Boom? Where the hell do you have to go to REQUIRE that?!
I don't hate the game as much as other people do, just found it mediocore and overall disappointing. I put the flame shield up for having an opinion WAY different the rest of the internet.
Dude the SotC spot on the list is proof he is following his own opinion
Yeah with the exception of that, I was mainly talking about the Sonic & The Secret Rings and Final Fantasy III spots as I felt those were ripped straight out of The Autarch's and UtterSpartan's vids.
HazzaBozza
It would be if the complains weren't justified
9: YES!
Link to your collab partner's channel?
Oh. Hi Gabe.
That vacuum cleaner seems like a pretty cool guy. Where can I find his personal channel?
Well, he works with the broom pretty often, and Rion "Rhino" Mills knows him well.
***** Hey, you should collaborate with him again on April 1st. Maybe give him his own intro this time.
ever seen dragonball
Thought the Same thing. I crie every tim.
Joshua Velazquez Me? No.
SNK is really bad at 3d game and catching up with technology.... both KOF and SS was really great game until they try to upgrade the graphic.
Penguin Hunter How about KoF 14?
Sonic and The Secret Rings isn't too bad in my opinion. I mean yeah the controls are kinda slippery and the multitude of missions that had to be done to advance the story was annoying, but to be honest, I felt it was still a solid game. Nothing amazing, but it was fine at least in my opinion.
Adam all I can say for your number 8 choice is,to quote Chester A. Bum
"You're gonna piss off so many people"
14:40 What?! Those sprites look beautiful!!
Exellent collab with The Fucking Vacuum Cleaner. He was great during this countdown.
The dragon ball budokai 3 soundtrack you showed? It also played on the previous entry, dragon ball budokai 2. It plays on the snow stage (second part of the campaign).
just out of curiusioty.... have you ever played YGO: Forbidden Memories?^^
***** Same
Gohauld is that the one on the PS1 OH for the love of Gods Why did i waste my time downloading that game im sticking to the DS yu-gi-oh games for now on specifically the 5ds series and Zexal
14:34 *sad tizoc fan noises*
Ah....the day before SNK revived the dream.
If No.1 was a sin, then SNK had a great redemption day in 2019.
10:Haven't Heard Of It
9:Not As Bad As Shattered Crystal
8:This Was No 1 On Mavericks List
7:Play The Ps Vita
6:Never Heard Of The Games
5:Yet Another Anime Videogame
4:At Least Colour Splash Was Good
3:Wtf Made The Game ?
2:X7 Rant
1:What The Actual F**k Is This Bulls**t
The way you built up #1, I was expecting banjo kazooie nuts and bolts.
I hate the fact that people say realism in games is important. It flat out ruins the game form me. It's the biggest reason why I hated most of Kid Icarus: Uprising and was my most disappointing game. I would still replay it, but not as regularly as others.
If you enjoy realistic, why even bother with uprising?
NINJAPIZZA a.k.a thehobkinpizza GAMING CHANNEL I didn't say I liked realism.
***** Tirelessness allows you to sprint for the rest of the stage.
***** No, I think it lasts forever. Doesn't say "for a short time" AND YOU USUALLY ONLY GET ONE! Dur. And even if It's only a limited amount of time, Lightweight does the same thing and increases movement speed.
Princess Celestia your opinion, but i think otherwise
I’ll be honest, it may have only been an honorable mention but I thought harmony of Dissonance was pretty good. I find it extremely easy to pick up and play. The ability to combine spells and weapons was so fun, and another thing that I really like about it is the movement. Being able to slide, dash, dive after a double jump just made it so fluent. I will agree tho that the music, while atmospheric, isn’t the best. But I still quite liked harmony of dissonance, tho tbh all the gba vanias are pretty damn good
My god. When you were talking about X7, I thought to myself "If only you played Samurai Shodown Sen and saw a true horror"... Then number 1.
Hey Adam have you played Yugioh 5DS Master of the cards?
I remember years ago I borrowed my friend's copy of Sonic and the Secret Rings, I couldn't get past the tutorial.
What's the difference between Secret of Mana and Tales in terms of co-op?
I think that they both allow player 2 to control the party members, but I don't know because I played Phantasia, Symphonia and Abyss but I've never played Secret of Mana.
"The Mario RPGs"
Right when I heard that, I thought Sticker Star.
I was right,
Insert Mario Party 8 here SERSOULSY THHAT WAS BONE BREAKING
Any Samurai Showdown without Gen-An is not a Showdown for me.
First, major props for the Baten Kaitos shoutout. More people need to play that game.
That said, Arc Rise Fantasia listed in the Dishonorables...to each their own, I guess.
On a personal level, I wanted to like Arc Rise Fantasia, but those damn difficulty spikes were annoying.
Holy shit, i come here from your new Least Favorite pokemon list and I jump to the Megaman X7 segment and then HOLY SHIT SO MUCH FUCKING SCREAMING, countdown maker come a long way hadn't they?
