The highlight of the movie is the subtle and sad look of Alia when she sends the child back home.. Just the 3 seconds look convey volumes, Like there is no one back then to rescue her like this.. Kudos Alia... One woman show🎉🎉
Which means thatvits a a rather dull anf boring movie. There's a difference between subtle and boring, and this is just a boring movie. Too bad Bhansali wasn't able to create enough of a hype for this one. Nobody would remember this movie after 1 yr.

You’re not intelligent enough to understand subtlety or other situations in life so For you a good Bhansali movie has a tall manly outsider plastic woman who can’t act but got the parts because better top actresses rejected them, and wears heavy costumes and is heavily made up and whitened and opens her already too big eyes even bigger.........If it has a talented genius actress from the inside, doing a very complicated different role remarkably well, then your unintelligent hate and jealousy of her takes over. Good luck with that. Your insensible hate will keep you stuck in your bad karma and will help her gain even better karma 😂

not kidding, I was getting goosebumps in the theaters after every dialogue Alia Bhatt used to make, she has given justice to the character, she won my heart in the first scene!

All i can say is that I'm not that one big fan of alia i only watched her few movies so i can't say much but i love how she keeps growing as an actress in amazing way her acting in movies like- raazi, dear zindagi, gully boy, kalank, and specialiy in gangubaii her acting won my heart and if you remember in student of the year1 she really pulled of her role as sanaya which suits her really well so yeah she amazing

The cinematography in this movie is IMMACULATE! Enjoyed every second of it. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his team are really exceptional!
Only Alia bhatt and Sanjay leela bhansali sir can potray such a dark in depth reality of the life of Ganga Harjeevandas Kathiwadi with so much beauty. Amazing work by the whole team.

It's also a slap to the people who completely ignore this movie for what it is, the cinematography, the casting, the editing, the overall score and the music numbers of this movie... This movie is a true story of Gangubai Kathiawadi, a lady forced to do prostitution after sold by her boyfriend. She became a lady don with help of then big don Rauf Lala and transformed and developed the red light area Kamathipura (Kamathipura is in Mumbai) like trying to rehabilitate the girls, putting the children of prostitutes into school, etcetera.
She is still worshipped in Kamathipura till today
Alia is an amazing performer. Maybe you could check the original story. The film is based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas. Her life was documented in the book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' penned by S. Hussain Zaidi.

Reaction from brother syntell is so genuine. I can see in his face he loved the movie. Its not like they are making a reaction video from their channel so if they didn't enjoy also they need to act like they enjoyed it but every reaction video brother syntell is on i can see he is a honest and very humble man. The way he talk about the movie and idea he give are very much thoughful and to the point. Just loved the way these reaction video are in Jaby Koay channel. Very lucky they have Syntell brother for reaction.
TODAY, I WAS JUST THINKING OF THE TIME WHEN JABY said that he will react to the movie after watching the trailer. This movie was my FIRST MOVIE HALL EXPERIENCE and I loved every bit of it.
