We get blue soft shell crab in Maryland. The shell can be eaten, too, they are that soft. One of the best dishes I've ever eaten!!!

Yep, technically it’s entirely edible. If you are worried about it I suggest eating it in a sushi roll or sandwich. It’s fantastic though.
