Let's Play Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 Level 1: Woodward Camp

  • 2/04/2016: I heard from the many comments put on this video that Dave Mirra has passed away. Our thoughts go out to his family and we are sorry for their loss.
    #DaveMirraFreestyleBMX2 #LetsPlay #Insetik47
Based off the real-life Woodward Camp, this is the first level in Dave Mirra 2. The level itself shows off the game's scope and its challenge system well, while my repeated attempts at the challenges show off the problems in the game.

+Bearded Bigfoot Amen to that. My best friend and I grew up to this game (among others obviously, but especially this game) and that was our favorite song on the game. I got a tattoo for my friend, and as a nostalgia thing, and what I chose was a line from that song in this game. Good times being a kid.

R.I.P. Dave Mirra. He was an inspiring man who helped create the world of BMX that is today. This game especially was one of my favorites from my childhood and still stands as a great game as I still play it from time to time. A rush of memories come to mind hearing his name. It's beyond me how his life would end so soon to a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. With all he has done you'd figure he'd have a lifetime of fulfillment. Apparently the illusion of success doesn't always mean you're happy. Much thoughts and prayers to his surviving wife and kids as this will be a massive burden for them to bear for the rest of their lives. Though I never knew you personally Dave, you were an idol and an inspiration to me and many many others. I hope you're decision was worth it. You will be greatly missed man.

One of the first games I had for game cube. The real fun of this game was purposely seeing how far Slim Jim guy would go after getting hit by a truck at the perfect angle, or holding onto a rail after you bail and watch your dude start breakdancing lmfao. Literally haven't played the game in over 10 years and cant help but laugh every time you fall. Spent hundreds of hours playin this game and never beat it, but the amount of times I've started crying from laughter with my friends is what really made this game for me. And good god what a soundtrack, Tribe, Gang starr, sublime, classic.

2 things should be noted about this game:
it had a pretty killer ost with songs from the cult and gangstarr
secondly, this game should not be played properly. the most fun I had on this back in the day was when me and my cousin would just bail as bad as possible and see the rider mangled in the funniest ways. the gameplay is too shit to really put your effort into playing it properly. it did provide quite a few hours of fun but god damn looking back it looks horrible lol
still, nostolgia points count for something

I remember this game well. I never beat it because once I got to the level with the highway in it, I stopped playing it normally.
At that point, I would just pick the fastest biker and do back Flips into on coming traffic, to see how far I can get launched.

Yoooo same. The bails were so fucking funny. Hold triangle and they would hold onto the cars and sometimes glitch and start doing crazy ass spins

The sound track was kickass. If I had to pick one, definitely 'Doin' Time' by Sublime.
