i have a lot of this I'm trying the flow medium and their pouring medium. I still think the Floetrol and the Golden mediums better. it goes on 40% off every other week like clockwork (this week actually)
Good experiment bro! Love Master's Touch brand it is actually in my Top 3. I prefer the heavy body but the standard works good too. It does mix very well!
Wow I was just wondering about this brand of paint David..Your a mind reader..I will stick to my Amsterdam and W)N when I splurge it's on TLP ... Great vedio .I have been caught up in blooming , Swiping and scoop and drag..
I haven’t used these. I am stuck at Michael’s just because of the ease of the location & I know the website… I like Artists Loft for the most part. & as much painting as I do, I have to stay with the student level. (Except for Titanium white)
Hi David, I hope you are doing well. Just wondering if you could test Daler Rowney paints? I would love to hear your opinion about them. I am new to pouring and I am using Glue All pouring medium. Thank you for your help.
@@reginaditt128 When you wet and dry canvases it pulls the canvas tighter and gets rid of any bounce that it has. Kind of like drying clothes in the dryer makes them shrink.
Thank you for testing Masters Touch as I rarely see anything on RUclips about it. Hobby Lobby is the only art/craft store nearby and I don't like paying for shipping. Just what I wanted to see although I did figure most of it out myself since it didn't have math in it. Lol
Thanks! I've gotten spoiled. Love my Arteza, Golden, Amsterdam, and quite a bit of the Artist's Loft. They might be helpful to have on hand for flow extender if you use it frequently.
I only use this paint in my pours if i can get them cheap or i use them too paint with they are really good too just paint with.thank you for showing this.
I use Master's touch for my main colors in Amsterdam for black-and-white. I'm not sure Masters test even has a titanium white but it seems that titanium white is the trick for white paints. Master's Touch is in my top 3 brands- easy to use, retains it's color load and dries beautifully plus it has a light fastness rating that rivals all the expensive brands. Using a UV resistant varnish ensures bold colors for years to come. This paint brand works well in brush stroke paintings as well
Masters touch was the first paint I bought when I could afford to step out of the craft aisle. They put them on sale for 40% off. Average is a good word. They have a new line of pearlized paints which are beautiful but more fluid.
I really struggle with Master's Touch. Getting the right consistency is difficult for me. I have it the way I want it and then when I go to pour it seems to thicken up. I have also had several of the colors totally eat up the rest of the paintings as they dry. I go crazy when they are on sale and have a bunch, I just need to figure out the best way to use them.
@LeftBrainedArtist they seem to be the same or very close to the other colors in consistency. Just a paint property issue or a me issue? Anything I can do differently?
@@christybrandt4453 You can check the pigment density of those paints here. I bet the ones that took over are much lighter than the rest but that is just a guess without being able to see them. leftbrainedartist.com/acrylic-paint-density-chart/
@@LeftBrainedArtist Yes, I saw it on Tammy Andersons page. Seems like it's a mid level paint, but I can always add some pigment powder to it. I like doing that.
Thankyou for all your research and clarity! We are very much enjoying your 5:54 channel. Please keep in mind that there are other stores that offer coupons and a good variety of paints. Hi David, where would I BE WITHOUT YOU STILL MAKING crap muddy ugly paintings ,your channel is number 1 on my list ,what would be good if you could do a series on mixing different colors and your favorite combo of paints ,Cheers from Australia
I just wanted to let you know that you are a valuable asset to this community and I’m so thankful for your videos.
Thanks so much Deidre. I really appreciate that.
I def agree with this comment. I'm grateful for your input into the art & pouring paint artist communities.
I have missed your videos- glad you are back! I learn so much from you!
Thank you so much Paula.
You don’t know how uh your experimenting and video of them has helped. Thank you
I’m glad it has been helpful Pema.
I think someone will love this lavender and yellowish orange on their wall. Thx for sharing this testing process.
You are so welcome!
I love your result. I use these paints every so often but I don’t dilute them too much. I get them while on sale. I enjoy every one of your videos 🎉
Thanks! I think they have some great colors, but I'd just skip the white.
Welcome back! 😊 I missed your videos. Hope you are doing well 🍀🤗
I am. Thanks Pia.
7 seconds and he said “it’s takin a while”😂 glad I’m not the only impatient one! 😂 beautiful colors and great tutorial! Thank!
So true Anita.
I use these often, not to bad. I tried their new pearl colors and I love them. Thank you for all your videos. I always learn so much.
Wonderful! I might need to try the pearl colors.
Good info, thanks for sharing
No problem Debra👍

That's great to know - thanks! Makes big diff to me; at 40% off I can try it.
Thank you for the review.
Glad it was helpful Diane.
Great info and test! Thanks for doing this and sharing ❤❤

Can't go wrong with Amsterdam and W&N for sure.
Thanks David, this is very helpful.
Very welcome Jan.
Love it , so pretty
Thank you! 😊

I would always stay with sutdent acrylics except for some specific colors or sheens. The higher priced paints aren't worth it for pouring generally.

I have some in my kit I will be reviewing for sure Regina.
I have one more question for you. Why do people spray the back of their canvas, what is the purpose ?

Haha, I used a new video editor so I haven't gotten the hang of putting text in yet. The next one will home some more math for you Kathi. 8)

That is kind of my thinking also.
Thanks for the info. I don’t shop there ever.
Just another place to have in your back pocket if you can't find the colors or price you are looking for with other brands.

When colors eat the other colors that means they are 1. less dense than the other colors or 2. slightly thinner than the other colors.

hobby Lobby stopped doing coupons a long time ago. But The paints go on sale every 2 weeks anyway.
Sry, so used to Michael's and their app. You are correct on the sales.
Could a different brand of white be used instead of Master's touch just so that the white shows up better
Absolutely. My recommendation is Amsterdam. I buy it in bulk so I can use it with everything.
What ratio would you use to mix these pants with a pouring medium
2 to 1 (medium to paint). Any more than that and you really lose the color vibrance.
Have you ever used any of their new pearlized paint?
Master's touch? I have not, thanks for pointing that out to me. I'll have to go get some.
@@LeftBrainedArtist Yes, I saw it on Tammy Andersons page. Seems like it's a mid level paint, but I can always add some pigment powder to it. I like doing that.
FYI Master's touch acrylic paint is 40% off every other week
Exactly. That makes them a great price for student level acrylis (minus the white).

There are definitely lots of places to choose where you buy your paint.
It's an okay paint for beginners.
My thoughts exactly. Thanks Rosemary.
It's nice, but I prefer your others with Amsterdam, even Walmart Royal and langnickel. But you still pulled it off.
Yeah, definitely not my first choice of the ones I've tested.
They are on sale for 40% off every other week at Hobby lobby
Thanks for the info Gloria.
So what’s the best/worst lightfast rating? I could ask google but that’s boring 😂
Each paint is different. Generally lightfast 1 is the best but some have 3 stars that are the best.
I am so frustrated. I use paint skins. I recently bought the Masters touch fluid products. I had spent 4 days scraping skins. Yuck
What was the problem Patricia?

Any chance you could send me some pictures of your work to my Contact Us form on my website (same name as RUclips)?
I think they downgraded on the design on the tube! Much more appealing before in my opinion
I agree!
not a big fan of doing pours like that. for some reason i just dont like them because theres no uniqueness to it at all still love the vids though
That's why abstract are is so awesome. We can all have our own opinions but still learn from each other.
This is so satisfying!!!. . . The pour😉
Thanks so much 😊
