Would'vd loved to see Cyberpunk performance without DLSS3 frame gen on and DLSS off. Native 1080p medium settings would've been interesting.
Low settings with dlss and frame gen were like 120 fps, so I’m guessing medium without dlss or frame gen would be like 60 give or take? Not sure 🤔

I returned it. It is very loud in a room environment when idle. If you are picky with noise I wouldn't recommend. Switched to a Lenovo LOQ 16 and it has better screen, battery, and keyboard. AND noise is minimal when idle.

i7 12650H gtx 4060 and 8gb ram
i5 13450H gtx 4060 and 16gb ram
Thoughts? I’m wondering if the laptop benefits from i5 or i7 and I know I can always upgrade ram easier. But really wanting to avoid having to go in

Man I have never saw such thermals for a laptop before, it has actually great value thanks to the low wattage and it will last way longer than more powerful builds who reach 90-100°C

MSI messed up with wattage big time. 45w is too low and cuts performance by around 30%.
Still impressive performance for the little power it consumes but seriously, if you care that much about power then why are you going for a gaming laptop?
People buying laptop bcuz its low voltage and portable (country with earthquake, traveler, etc)..
Not all people have 900 watt in their house/apartement that only dedicated for PC (not even included fridge, rice cooker, etc) and not all people wanted to pay big amount of power bill every month for a PC..
And the reason its 45w is THE POINT of laptop.. keep the wattage low is priority... but the fact it still hold up to 6 hours for non gaming and 2-3 hours for gaming is still impressive.. its the same level with laptop with 75wh and 90wh battery..
But yeah the only cons for me is the 1 fan only.. it makes it so loud if you pump it to Ultra settings AAA games...
Power controls should be an option

Lmfao i was just needing a laptop for animating and this was the reccomended laptop in the market right now. I find it hilarious that a laptop that can run AAA games well is whats needed for animating nowadays. Tysm for this useful review

The 16 gb ram version is a very good option , it’s the display and the speakers that are little bit subpar .
Otherwise if you can get it for under 900 this is a solid choice .

Getting mine today plan on upgrading the ram only since I plan on using it for portable gaming and homework. My pc I went all out for with 2 tb nvme and a 4080 with 32gig of ram along with a 7900x3d

the stutters are cause by the transfer speed of the M.2 put a samsung pro m.2 in it i did same laptop the stutters stopped
Steveonashi is this a VA panel? Quickest way to tell if its a VA panel is to tap the screen. A VA panel will produce a white halo where you tap it for a split second.

I like gaming and I bought one that was on sale, so I saved five hundred dollars. I didn’t really buy it for gaming, I needed a laptop for school and wanted to get a gaming laptop that was small and affordable. Great for portability and school use, while still being a gaming laptop. Keep in mind it is a laptop, if you’re looking to get something for gaming a PC is the way to go.

Not good enough color gamut in the display I am afraid. I would recommend watching my latest livestream and look for the laptops that have 100% DCI-p3 color gamuts. Or at least 100% srgb, which is even less colorful. Aka: MSI pulse 15 and Nitro 5 both have QHD and 100% DCI-P3

@@kahmi4488 the cyborg has ddr5, the g5 has ddr4. they basically have the same specs, but the cyborg has an i7 instead of the g5’s i5. not really sure what to get. should i get the cyborg?

@@Ftradez sorry for the late answer. Unfortunately you can't. Best you can do is dim or completely turn of the keyboard light with fn+ f8.
@@featzaigem7570 the i5 version is plenty for me, even though I'm even doing some editing and Photoshop shenanigans. Main use point for me is vr though and it is doing really great!. For work purposes the i7 version might be better though, but for gaming, I'd prefer the i5 model.

I have cyborg 15 here. The same as the one you have. Except for 2 things, first it has IPS screen with 14 hz refresh rate, second it has 16 GB of ram. These are default from the supplier I’ve purchased from. At the price around $1100, I’d like to hear your opinion if this is worth it now? It runs games almost the same FPS you have tested tough 😂

I really hope this turns out well seeing how I just bought one yesterday and am awaiting arrival. I thought the Acer predator triton deal at best buy for $999 was good. I almost went with that, but the newer video card sold me on this one.

@@user-ig4dd8mi3j for that price point and this early with the newer video card and ram ddr5 I think it's great. It might be missing a few bells and whistles, but it runs everything I throw at it no problem. It's so fast even with the lower amount of ram. I'm filling the hard drive too fast though. But, I can always upgrade ram or hard drive when I feel like it.
Finally you upgraded the camera I'm happy now i see 2k

Hello, I have the same laptop that I just bought, but I have a question and doubt! what happens is that to turn on the computer you have to press the button twice, the first time you press it it does not turn on and when you press it again it turns on without problems, has this happened to anyone who has this laptop? do you know what it could be? you just have to press it 1 time and make sure it goes all the way down. Our Cyborg needs time to open his eyes.

the MSI Katana 15 4060 is only $100 more on MicroCenter and it goes to 105 watts so I believe that this is a terrible deal just on the tdp alone and the low cooling performance.

Why is my cyborg only drawing 35 watt and doesnt go above it? My cpu is i5 12450h. I tried putting it on balance mode to no avail

Hello, I am going to buy a model with the same characteristics. (MSI Cyborg I5-12450/ 4060-RTX 16RAM 512SSD) My question is Is there much difference between CPU I5-12450 and I7-12650? Thank you.
Not to much but for gaming their is a bit of a difference between the two but if your not really seriousness you’ll probably barely or might not notice it at all unless your looking at the frames and that during the game

I was stupid enough to try it but with rx 6700s. Bad mistake. Sitting in a cool room playing fifa it got so hot that it was hard to keep my finger on the case. Then one hour something it crashed.
Also, you wont be able to adjust voltage to lower the heat. Apps like afterburner will give you a screen with locked values you cant adjust.
4050 version better not have the same problem. It is a great looking compact device. When you compare it in size to alienware or razer, it would probably weight the same while costing a little less.

Not a good deal, especially not if it is the Cyborg 15 at that price. Check my list for 4060 laptops closer to $800-900 and full powered GPU and better display

@@jonathanmacdonald239 mine is doing below that, probably 2h + if it's idle.... but I'm connected to an external monitor. Does that reduce the battery performance significantly? And also I'm having Heating issues over the Keyboard. Like it's hot hot..
@@blackhawk3436 I would strongly recommend to look for other better option. The heating issue is just ridiculous now. It gets high end warm even when it's idle for me.
