Haha, as I was thinking "if the arretes (or how you spell that) are in, shouldn't the top edge be in as well?" Hannah comes in with the rule change/expansion! Nice to see you two together again!
Great vid👍💪, I am not the typical body type for climbing (75 - 78 Kg) and it's often a litte bit more difficult but I learned to deal with it... Hey, that's life😉
As a guy of similar weight to the full vest and you two both together, I recon I could hold that red overhang campus for about half a second 😂 Nasty purple one. Good video, like the 🐌 Psych😀 🎃
as a new climber who weighs pretty much exactly 100 kg i am interested in how much that will effect you. I am planning on losing (another) 10 kg, but it is getting harder and harder. Hope this will be motivating for me :D
Just imagine how much harder it would be for everyone else with the added weight. Every climb multiple grades harder. You do climbing on hard mode! Kudos to that.
FYI I've personally climbed V10 outdoors at 95KG and there are many similar comments in the comments below! It's very feasible to climb way harder than V10 at 100KG if you give your body the time to build strength. Weight does matter somewhat for climbing at your limit, but it matters a whole lot less than your technique, strength, and mental game.
Personally I’d say that climbing is at least 60% knowing HOW to use YOUR body and YOUR own weight to your advantage. Maybe less 10% has to do with strength and body type. Knowing how to use your feet to get your hips closer to the wall makes a huge difference. Climbers can be any size, and we’re better for it! Not everyone can be Adam Ondra and be super tall, lanky, and thin.
@@erikarose2187 Try putting on a weight vest until you are 100 Kilo and then try climbing :) Make a video about it and post it here, i am looking forward to the results :D
To make attempts meaningful you could have scaled the weight by the attempt differential. So send on the same attempt 0 kg, 1 attempt +2 kg, 2 attempts +4 kg, 3 attempts +6 kg, one person flashes and the other fails +10 kg (bonus penalty for crushing.)
What allows you to make the claim you are a “V10 climber” or “V7 climber”…..are you saying your top grade, the grade you generally project, or the grade you comfortably climb? Curious about other ppls thoughts on this
Well that's what climbing feels like when you're on the hefty side of the spectrum. I feel that pain every time I try to climb anything😂 Great video as always Josh!
No offense but she doesnt seem like a V7 climber unless by that you mean shes done a select amount of V7s as her personal best. I think most would say a V7 climber is someone that can do them consistently i.e more than 50% of a gym's V7s
Wooooo, my proudest moment captured in 4k
Haha that crisp 4K! Thanks for the fun times
oh hello there hannah
I love watching you guys' videos, especially cause I can't climb much while I'm in college...so living vicariously through you guys I guess
Thank you 😊!! Hope you manage to have time to climb soon!!
"my plan is... to send it" that's a great plan! usually my plan too
haha it is a good plan though
4:07 Anna Hazelnutt def felt a disturbance in the force at Josh’s slab hating😂
Haha one day I will make everyone hate slabs 😉😂
"Maybe you should be at work" - damn, you didn't have to call me out like that :D
😂 don’t worry I’ll keep it between us

Climbing hangars don't use the top edges
This reminds me to plug in a Weight Vest Bouldering session into the training schedule.
💪💪💪
Loved this video Josh!
Thank you 😊

I'm 96kg so this was intresting.
5:04 this looks like Guitar Chips with a screw through them. Plain evil.

it was a hard campus! Thanks was a fun one to make
on the purple one you don't have to jump. you should be able to squat low, swap feet and place a heel hook to pull yourself out of the squat.
Smart. that sounds like better beta
I tried that purple slab a few weeks ago. scary as hell!
Haha it is isn’t it 😳

@@saemj umm... suddenly increasing your weight is not equivalent to using your own body??
is there a kneebar in the beginning of the first red problem?
I recon there could be 🧐
I love your videos Josh!🤩
Thank you 😊
it all sounded like fun and games until the shoey came into play
My thoughts exactly 😢
haha
gotta make it interesting
Lucky me! I climb with 105kgs and don't even need a weight west to perform fully!
Same. I'm 100kg zero weightvest lol
Same here, with 95kg. what grade do you climb "comfortably" ?
I've climbed up to v7 outdoors and tend to climb around v7 or 8 in the gym
