    I am a volunteer with a local hospice, and my current patient asked me to paint watercolor with her. I have been using your tutorials with her and she is enjoying the fun exercises. Thank you for providing her some enjoyment in her final days!

    I love the 2nd rose also but it's great to watch all 3 roses being painted. Glad you also do the leaves and little white flowers.

    The beauty of this type of art is allowing things to be perfectly imperfect, which was a struggle for me for a while since I always wanted it to be right haha

    I was tried the drawing with video, you are doing quickly. It's look like easy. But I cant do like you. I think your brush is magic. Even so, my roses good for first time. You are really helpful about drawing. Thank you Shayda!

    WOW, am I ever glad I found your channel. I am a procrastinator with getting started with watercolours but your videos have really pushed me to get on with painting. I especially like the loose flower lesson I saw on U-Tube but am now having trouble finding it on your site. That lesson really got me motivated. Love the idea that you are right here in Canada and your lessons are so easy to follow. Thank you.

    I loved the second one the best. But maybe its the colors I'm loving. Anyway, the tutorial was wonderful and really guided me on how to work on my water color roses. And other flowers. You do great paintings! Thanks again for the tutorial

      Thanks, Hope! The first style of rose is my personal favourite, but the pink rose with the minty eucalyptus is always my fav color palette!

    They’re all pretty but I definitely prefer the second style. I have a cousin who taught at an Art College in Philadelphia and she taught me to start rosé’s with a tiny swirl in the center. Similar to the second one you did but with a loop in the center, if that makes sense.

    Loved this. The second is my favorite. Roses are hard for me but I feel you have demonstrated them in a way that I might actually be able to pull them off.
