Nothing wrong with bags inside a bag. I can't imagine the frustration of trying to find something in there if you simply dumped everything together. That kind of stress would ruin my hiking trip. 😂

Yep. Being organised is way better than saving a couple of grams. Ziplock bag doesn't way much.

Moleskin has definitely saved me a time or two. In addition to a first aid kit with the regular essentials, I also add pain relief and allergy medication. The allergy med can also serve in prevention of anaphylactic shock in the case of too many yellow jacket stings, or fire ant bites as I once learned. 😂 Most things have already been listed but in addition to a lighter, I also carry back-up waterproof matches in a waterproof case, along with tweezers, and a tiny pair of sharp scissors. ✌🏼

Digging that pattern! I wonder what I would need to get on one, if I went with a similar theme? Maybe one of my logos on each side, I guess, because I could never decide what to go with. LOL!

My misc bag also has an ace bandage in case I need to wrap my ankle or knee bc I have old sports injuries. Plus a small tin w 2 of those dollar store tea lights, and an orange bandanna.

Something I found a few years ago is the firebiner & its just what you think & since I am always clipping things to my pack it has multiple uses. It also has a firestarter/flint like a lighter on the end which throws a good spark. Something now hard to find that I tend to use for meds and even firestarters are the plastic containers a roll of film used to come in. I still have a few left & then I have a Altoids can Med kit which also has an O-light flashlight in it.(Maybe an inch and a half long). I know that won't fly w/the UL folks, but oh well + I keep a hair band around that (or 2).

You can a la carte larger trauma kits in case of animal attacks. For instance I keep a trauma pad, which is essentially a beefed up gauze, super glue for closure, butterfly bandaids to secure it and an elastic bandage to wrap it up. Anything larger than a fully separated wound over a 1/2 inch and I use an infinity tool for an impromptu tourniquet that has a myriad of other uses. Having accoutrements to address larger wounds of course covers the smaller ones as well with a very minimal weight penalty.

I have a much smaller dity bag. Mine holds only the things I need in my tent at night or in the morning. My hygiene kit w/my toothpaste, toothbrush, chafing cream, etc is in a ziploc bag. My meds I take at night are in a separate bag in there. Then my flextail, ear plugs/headphones, quilt straps are all just in my main bag. My repair items (xtra sawyer o-ring, zip tie, xtra smart water cap, etc. are in a ziploc that I keep in an extra pocket at the bag of my bag. I also keep my back up fire stuff in that pocket. I just moved my main fire stuff into my small cookpit but it’s still in a separate ziploc. My potty bag w/Kula bidet cap, a couple wet wipes, mini spray sanitizer & my trowel are in a separate ziploc I keep I the front of my pack. That stays right outside my tent at night b/c GROSS. You have me re-thinking keeping everything in one bag tho. I keep my first aid kit in the front pocket of my bag, clearly marked, that way if I need someone else to grab it, it’s easy for them to access/find it. I carry a larger first aid kit but have been trying to scale bag. I ALWAYS have an ace bandage with me.

I would rather have organization in my bag than chaos. Sure, the little things add up, but an extra 4 ounces of bags aren't gonna make my knees any worse than they are now lol. Another great video, Crow! Soak that tooth brush in colorox and water for an hour about every other month :)

I never knew you were as blind as me lol, I wear contacts also and carry extra in my first aid kit. Acid reflux, kidney stones, check check... I though for a moment you were reading a book about all my ailments haha... I carry most of that stuff. Blister repair, meds, contacts, are kept in my first aid kit... Good video bro

Nice array of "stuff'. I would add a 1" roll of gorilla tape( a 1000 & 1 uses), and a good tourniquet. Better to have it and not need it.... Thanks for sharing.

My ditty bag is for everything too small to be floating around loose in my pack. Didn’t Eddie Van Halen also play for the Backstreet Boys?

My “ditty bag” is way smaller than that w/more stuff than yours. I keep my first aid separate, bought a bag off of GGG. uTube should allow pics in the comments (or maybe not for those that chose “butthead” behavior), so we can share w/o creating own channel. 🤷‍♀️
