About the vocals - they're supposed to be low and inconspicuous (like much of shoegaze), that's a defining trait in their music, it's what gives them "their sound". Plus, from what I've heard from their other live shows, singing is not exactly his strong suit (and that's okay, they are still awesome imo).
I knew the bassist looked so fucking familiar, he was in deafheaven...jesus i remember seeing old vids of them playing and now i find him on here. what a small fucking world lmao
When I saw they were playing “Dig”, I expected more BRR BRR DENG but I am incredibly happy with what came out. I’m gonna jam this bands discography during work today.

I really like the way they play music, I just wish the vocals were clearer. I’m expending too much energy trying to make out what’s being said. It’s almost like white noise.

saw them in charleston, sc and the first song my friend brad spilled a whole beer on brandon's pedalboard. his amp was fine but his tone was fucked so he used to dominic's guitar/pedalboard/amp and dominic was just a frontman for the set and i've never seen anything more intimate. he just ran into the crowd and everyone started singing the songs with him. it was amazing.

I think this music is mesmerizing. I get chills just listening to this session. And I can hear the vocals fine!
Love the current version of Nothing with Doyle, etc but I'm glad they got this stellar performance on tape for posterity!!!
This was the best formation, no hate on the actual members but Guilty Of Everything was his best album.
↑ dude's speaking some truth
I disagree. I think things got elevated when Doyle joined the band

his singing live is way better now
Every clueless person who doesn't listen to much shoegaze feels compelled to comment on the muffled vocals

I understand the whole vocals behind thing, but I did hear vocals more on their album which is interesting.

He is. Just left the band due to some personal shit. Released white lighters tracks recently and a video.

@Prog Farmer Lyon France yeah I hung out with them on that tour one night. He seemed to be in a really bad place.
He and Nick Bassett have another side project called Oubliette. So far it’s only on bandcamp
