Seeing this band 10 years ago in front of maybe 20-30 people to seeing them make the rounds on late night talk shows now never ceases to not still blow my mind.
@nonebeach they been on roadrunner for years. Sell outs? That term is so whack. Stop gatekeeping hardcore. I get stoked when a band can breakthrough, hardcore has its limitations and they’re still putting out good music that people overwhelmingly enjoy. Also, they’re not a straight edge band.
The entire mix didn't quite sell their sound in the best way. It was fine, just not totally attuned to the style of music. Toms were almost nowhere in the mix though.
I can’t explain how mind blowing it is to see this band take off the way they have recently. They’ve been a part of my life for almost a decade now and I’m glad the world is getting to know their name.
They been done blown up. A couple Coachella’s now and camp flognaw a couple of years ago among other major appearances. Bittersweet to see! Remember seeing them in tiny little venues way back in 2014!

Legit one of THE BEST bands out right now. They deserve all the love and attention in the world. Glow On is one of the best albums of the past decade. 100%.
100% I hear Snapcase in them almost every song, which is great one of the few hardcore bands I love. Similar simplified, catchy riffs. I also hear a little Kvlertek of all things, and his vocals sometimes sounds like Janes Addiction

Saw these guys open for MCR a few weeks ago. They were awesome. Lead singers movements were giving me some major Joy Division vibes and I was loving it.
Any band that I ever liked that made it to the tonight show I was always convinced didn’t need it and wouldn’t be helped from that exposure. I literally found out about this band the day this aired. If you’re a long time fan. Don’t look at this like it’s selling out. We need more punk music. These guys can deliver
For sure! I found them out with Glow On, since then I listened to their other albums also! Instant fan. This is coming form a guy who loves Fugazi, so even inside the punk bubble (besides the mainstream public) there is space to grow!
These guys stand out, as they continue to take a modern Hardcore sound to the moon. This live performance sounds great, and will clearly bring more eyes and ears to the genre.

Then, you change the music just enough to reach a larger audience, while keeping the heart of the sound at it's core. The evolution of music isn't a scary thing. Every great genre movement in music history has it's bands/artists that are right place/right time for exploration, which leads to the growth of the genre to a new generation. It keeps it fresh and alive.
Their songs from Glow On have strong pop and electronic music elements, that's why they are more popular than ever. This album is so catchy that even people who don't like hardcore (like me) enjoy it.
my old band opened for Turnstile in Atlanta in 2015(ish?). They were my favorite band at the time and still are. Insanely talented and sweet guys. If you are a fan and haven't seen them live you absolutely have to it will change your life.
Been seeing Turnstile live for almost a decade and they just are getting bigger and bigger. I do miss seeing Brady getting low on those riffs. Hopefully he will be back jamming soon

cool seeing and hearing about the band being around for so long, my buddy got me into them after glow on came out and man they rip. seeing them in concert was a lifetime experience, gonna be a lifelong fan forever these guys rock
RHCP is my fav band, the energy of this band through their frontman and drummer is what I like the most in this band, especially his stage presence which is similar to vintage kiedis

Pop music made with synthesized or virtual instruments is great too, but there's just something special about musicians playing "real" instruments that allow them to do little tricks like that, the kind that make you go "Oh, THAT'S how you make it do that!" It gives me fond memories of when I was a pre-teen learning how to play drums by copying what I'd see in rock videos. Stuff like that isn't the only reason I'll always prefer "band" music over music made with synthesizers, but it's something I absolutely feel when it's not there.

I love this band so much, I’ve seen them live 2 times since October grey day tour to now , and I’m seeing them live to more times. They are something incredibly special. So proud
