The problem in the UK is that the lower levels are being flooded with career changing bootcamp graduates. The 'talent' (lol) pool is too big now and there's nobody for the more experienced roles which are being vacated by burnout. One such bootcamp has frozen its recruitment for next year because they can't guarantee anyone finding work afterwards.
There are too many Software Engineers that make 100k+ and that's why there's going to be layoffs. Not enough demand and too many software engineers. It's why I switched to a Cybersecurity and Infrastructure path. Way more opportunities, way less competitive, and while the salary might not be as good in the very beginning you can still end up making just as much if not more after a few years.
For the market-cap, as a finance (and also comp-sci, yes I am a masochist) student, I can tell you, the market was in a stupid position, regardless of company performance, that HAD to come down. I don't think that unless you do completely nothing, you won't get kicked out. Perhaps what will happen (and I mean, it was to be expected) the labor market will cool down a little bit, but what do I know? My luck is really shit,I wouldn't be surprised if FAANG almost collapse and San Francisco becomes the next Detroit. But to be extra honest with you, I don't think that you will be kicked out anytime soon OR that your RUclips career depends on Google (or a FAANG company for that matter), as you have something that not many people have, a likeable personality. I understand that this is more of a sidegig than anything else, but don't excessively bring yourself down, even if only for banter

I hope to invest in all those software engineers who can create engineering technologies in the center of the city online to develop the best engineering innovations in any electronic device and technological component. this so-called urban hub of Integral Technologies will focus on global environmental development projects rather than a retail or social media development hub. By “real job” you mean something you don’t enjoy ? Because having worked several “real jobs” I can tell you nothing is more tiring than gluing your ass day in and day out to a chair for 12-16 hrs a day reading documentation, code and writing code isn’t easy lol. I know there are slackers out there, but that’s everywhere and most of the time they are eventually outed and pushed out. The people who are truly passionate will always be in high demand as even the espresso machines at Starbucks need code to run :-)
