As someone who's only ever skied in Australia it's crazy to me how much snow there is on the last day! Hoping I can tick Whistler off my bucket list one day.
I hope you can get out here to try it one day too!
Whistler also closes earlier, typically in April so they can make the bike trails, so there tends to be a lot more snow at closing than Blackcomb which closes later in the season.
The Aussie community in whistler is crazy.

Here in Tahoe it's been nothing but blue skies and groomer days, meanwhile Whistler go powder on closing day!

THIS CHASE CAM IS INSANE! It puts the video into prespective. This is how i ski in my mind, but when i hit the slopes it does not translate.

Absolutely flying! Epic runs, some of the best GoPro footage all season. I can't believe how much snow some resorts still have on their closing days.
Glad you liked the footy. I was trying out the gopro on my head and it worked pretty sweet. The audio sucked but I also thought the angle felt more realistic in terms of speed and what i see.

It seems like your edges and your base might require repairs, unless you were skiing with your rock skis. I'm impressed by how effortlessly you maneuvered around the trees. You definitely is a bonzai skier. Thanks for posting this video.

Am I the only one who enjoys skiing that kinda shit that he hit in the first couple seconds of this video?! Nothing like good thin cover, where you have to figure it out on the fly the whole way down. Though I am an east coast guy, born and bred for ice and thin cover!
Though rock skis required unless you are a damn god, like Rise & Alpine appears to be!
Dude I've been thinking the same thing all spring. It's kind of like tree skiing because it makes you really have to make split second decisions and fire on all cylinders. Also, the stakes are higher... falling on rocks is a no no hahaha

Always enjoy your vids. The stoke is real! After the season on those Enforcer 104 free, what's your take on them? Keepers or buying new next season?
The 104's are keepers for sure! They crush everything. It was fun to have the 115's which have a little more rocker for playing in the pow. I'll do a full gear review once the season is done!
I was at Blackcomb the day after, and until Thursday. Friday was a zoo, so I passed on the 2 hour line up. At least Monday was only a 1 hour line up.😁
That snow must have been phenomenal!
@Rise & Alpine I gave Monday a 8.5/10 (only because of the lineup), Tuesday I gave it 9.7/10, and one of the top 3 days in my 55 years of skiing, Wednesday was a 9.5/10, and in my top 10 days ever, Thursday was a 8.0 due to no new snow, high winds, and only 2cm fresh. Friday morning, I got to the gondola at 10 a.m., and the lineup was twice as long as Monday. An hour I would have waited, but 2 hours or more was not going to work because I couldn't chance missing my ferry back. Next year, I have my first seniors pass, and I'm gonna rock WB every day I can.

Nothing rides like the rocker 2's... those things will always have a place in my heart :).
I replaced them with Nordica Enforcer 115's.
It's a less playful than the rocker 2 but I absolutely love them.
My next pair to test will be the Nordica Unleashed - i feel like these could stack up against the rocker 2.

@@riseandalpine you are welcome! This is a great one of your videos to get pushed by youtube. I always worry what if youtube pushes not my best videos on my main channel. For example, if you run a youtube channel that features new exotic cars, you don't want the youtube to push your "How to change tires on a Ferrari" video that you just decided to put out oneday, because then people who are just interested in videos like "how to diy change tires on any car" would be recommended by youtube to watch that, and they won't find it interesting nor useful. So this is perfect that the algo hard picked up this one because it perfectly aligns with the videos you've been uploading and in the future to come. Also, it's the last of the season kind of thing. So It will continued to get watched all the rest of the year until the next year. along with your videos you've already made. This is the best case scenario! (fyi, in compariosn Nikolai Schirmer uploaded a video, 6 days ago. As of now, the video is standing at 56k.) So you really did it with this one. It's a big win!

Seems like you had a better closing weekend than I did. Broken Scapula, 6 broken ribs and a ruptured spleen ended my skiing season early, aswell as my biking season. Love your content! Is there gonna be biking content in the summer?

Hey man, what camera setup do you use? Im an mountain biker and im looking around at cameras and was checking out DJI vs gopro and liked ur setup
I use a mix of go pro 11 and insta360 onex2. If you're planning to mainly post on socials the 360 is the play. For crisper and more lifelike footage I find the go pro works great. Go pro is the camera for the first part of this video and 360 is in the middle portion - you can kind of see the difference when I switch them up. Both cameras work great
I take it that you're not digging the 2023 enforcers so you took them out as your rock skis haha? I was eyeing the 2023 Enforcer 104 Frees since they're on sale rn

104 and the 115 have both been an absolute pleasure to ride this year. They also absolutely crush in slush which is a bonus.
