I'm 71 and grew up hearing Guitar Boogie Shuffle when I was a just a boy played on radio and on every Jukebox in town. 1959 The Virtues had a big hit with it. It was slightly different from Arthur Smith's original version but the melody of his tune was still intact. Great memories and one of the early influences along with The Ventures, Duane Eddy, and The Beatles, that made me want learn Guitar to begin with.
I feel as though I’m being redundant in my comments since I always say this but I’m grateful how you demystify this music and do so with encouragement and warmth! It’s a nice refuge in an uncertain world!
The tabs are actually a lot easier than I thought and it really is mostly the speed and rhythm that's so intense! This will keep me busy for a while haha thanks man ❤
Great lesson. You make things that seem too complicated to play easily understandable. You're inspiring. Thanks for sharing your skills. Greetings from France
I've been watching you since your very first Rockabilly Guitar lesson video many years ago Damian. This Arthur Smith version is very different from The Virtues version in 1959 which was so popular. I like both and would never choose between apples and oranges! Good work Damian!
My favorite song to play ! Everytime I play guitar I play Guitar Boogie, or a version of it ! Love Guitar Boogie by Bert Weedon, Tommy Emmanuel & Shadoogie by The Shadows
... And that's it!!! Always a wonderful day here, in sunny Italy, when that beard appears out on the tube. Cheers dude, you're still the best! Keep that 'billy on!!!
Very cool to see some acoustic stuff here. You really can do it all man. I've played patterns similar to this for years, but as usual, my versions are not as nicely arranged as your version! Lol...Thanks a bunch, Damian.
I've been around long enough to remember hearing this on the radio. I tried to play it on an old Kay guitar, but was doomed at the start.... I only had 3 strings.... Ha! Thanks Damien!!

Love this tune and your lesson. Thank you.
I recently saw a ted Talk featuring Tommy Emmanuel he said, and I quote ' Life isn't a rehearsal, Go for it ! "
The tabs are actually a lot easier than I thought and it really is mostly the speed and rhythm that's so intense!
