    Looks OK apart from those wheels. They look lost. Engine sounds puny on camera. Don't like gear selection on a stalk. Is the manual on the tree as well. Less refined than the big boys. But less in price. There is always a tradeoff. The biggest factor is resale value. And for those that care about their image, snob value.

    Its difficult to compare it to its more expensive competition considering its a lot cheaper,you cant really expect it to be the same as Hi Lux or Ranger

    It looks good , the chinese are improving alot with quality.
    Reliability and after sales parts is always the problem.
    This ldv is also an mg extender. But ill give Chinese utes credit , the interior always look futureristic.
    I would still take a triton , because of its full time awd at highway speeds. Until you seen a ute spin spin out on the road or on wet roads, only then would you understand the importance of it.
    Full time awd is highly underrated and its not available in the most expensive hilux utes. The v6 ranger and amarok has it though. Also the old amarok has it.

      I believe the T60 does have full time all wheel drive, certainly the previous model did, can't see it being deleted.
      The knob has 4A on it.

      @@gheufbfff in the video, Brett says the engine sounds more rattly than the average diesel engine. I was agreeing that even from the outside of the vehicle, the T60 with the 2.0L has more injector rattle than most modern diesel engines.

    Helpful review - thank you.
    Would be interested to know whether you’d go for this, or a Cannon X for the same money?
    Cannon has less power on paper, but a well calibrated ZF gearbox..and is similar or better in terms of cabin quality, rear seat space, tub size etc.

    I think the new interiors and instrument clusters is just some makers trying to standardise across different types of models and types of vehicles. Make sense instead of inefficiency and cost of making so many different styles and sizes. LDV make a lot more stuff than is seen outside China.

      100%, and that isn't a compliment, it's simply more appealing though plus there is the time saving factor too, you won't be cleaning up vomit each time after you've approached the Triton.
      Sarcastic yes, but come on, Mitsubishi fell to sleep in the exterior design, design guys swilling saki instead of focusing on design.

  • @marcusgeorge1825
    @marcusgeorge1825 3 месяца назад +1

    A great leap forward (or is this backwards?). The new screens and removal of traditional buttons that is becoming more common is designed this way for one of many reasons. Costs (number 1). All mainstream these changes with price increases manufacturers are justifying these changes with price increases (BMW as one brand for reference, nothing to do with going electric). Why? The availability and refinement of technology coming out of China (I’ll use my iPhone 15 pro as an example) are getting better and cheaper to make. Creating traditional dashboard layouts, matching all different trims and making the switch gear for standard controls is simply more expensive to do. Much cheaper to have two budget tables joined together and programmable with these features. So, as consumers, we should be demanding the price reductions being passed on as the manufacturers are simply taking advantage of the untrained average buyer who isn’t equipped with this knowledge.
