May Allah protects your Iman and shower you with . Never forget the love Allah has for is greater than the loves of your mother when you were still new born baby
Salem alaiukom brother Yusuf. I'm so happy for you that you found this beautiful masjid. It's seems like you discovered a treasure .I'm sure you'll take advantage n pray in congregation while you're close to it. I see you got emotional and you remembered Al Madina. The weather is not that hot as in saoudi Arabia it's nice at the maghrib time just like here in Algeria it's the medeterranian sea climate . I don't know why the masjid looks like an ancient church from the outside though it's perfect inside. I hope you will benefit( physically and spirituality)from your staying in Cyprus. May Allah bless you and grant you the swift recovery 🤲
Wa alaikum assalam! A lot of the churches here have been converted to mosques throughout the history so I don't know for sure regarding this particular masjid but there's a chance that it also used to be a church at some point.
Salam, Ma Shaa Allah. It is nice to see you so happy. It is such a blessing to be profoundly affected positively by going to a Masjid. It is a testimony of your love for Islam. I am truly so happy for you. And spiritual happiness affects our mental, emotional and physical well being in a good way. Continue to recite, " ALLAHUMMA INNI AS'ALUKA AL'AFIYAH. * اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ Do you know? Al-Abbas (R.A.), the Uncle of The Prophet Muhammed ﷺ, came to the Prophet Muhammed ﷺ and said: “Ya Rasulullah, teach me a Dua.” The Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said: “O my Uncle, say: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ "ALLAHUMMA INNI AS' ALUKA AL'AFIYAH" Meaning: "O Allah, I ask you for Afiyah." Now what is Afiyah? Afiyah means: To be saved from any afflictions, you are in Afiyah. To be healthy, you are in Afiyah. To have enough money, you are in Afiyah. To live, you are in Afiyah. To have your children protected, you are in Afiyah. And if you are forgiven and not punished, you are in Afiyah. So basically, Afiyah means: “O Allah, protect me from any Pains and Sufferings.” This includes both Dunya and Akhirah. Al-Abbas (R.A.) thought about this for a while, and then he came back after a few days and said (paraphrased): “Ya Rasulullah ﷺ, this Dua seems a little short. I want something big.” The Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said: “My Dear Uncle, ask Allah for Afiyah for Wallahi, you cannot be given anything better than Afiyah.” It is a simple Dua, Sincerely mean what you say while praying. “O Allah, I ask You to be saved from any Distress, Grief, Hardship, Harm, and don't test me, etc.” All of above and much more is included in: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ "ALLAHUMMA INNI AS' ALUKA AL'AFIYAH" (Riyadh As Saliheen, Sunan At-Tirmidhi). Prophet Muhammed ﷺ said: “Convey from me, even if it is one verse.” May ALLAH accept our prayers #Ameen
The masjid looks beautiful Masha'Allah, both from the inside and the outside. Although I'm living in a Muslim country, I too miss the prayer in the masjid because we have separate places to pray in as women and the women's places have been closed since Covid. So please make du'aa for us to go there soon. Another thing, I read that yesterday and I'd like to share it with you: "عدم إجابة الدعوة أو تأخيرها هو خير لك دون أن تشعر، فقد يكره العبد الفقر والضر والمرض، وهو خير له في الآخرة وأحمد عاقبة، وقد يحب الغنى والعافية والشهرة وهي شر له عند الله، وأسوأ عاقبة دنيا وآخرة." "ومن أحب محبوبا لم ير منه إلا كل محبوب، فكيف لو كان هذا المحبوب هو أحكم الحاكمين وأرحم الراحمين؟! فلعله جعل لك الفوائد في الشدائد، والمنح في المحن." May Allah make it easy for you and all of the Muslims.
Oh that's unfortunate that the women haven't been able to pray in the masjid there till now. May Allah make it possible for you soon! And jazakillehu khairan for sharing that. Maybe in some ways it really is better for me to be sick currently. Been trying to find some positive things in it and one thing is that it might be a reminder for me to get back into more Islamic work and just try and return to being a better Muslim again in general which maybe wouldn't happen if I had better health. Because when I did I kinda got carried away with other things. May Allah bless you!
@@nordicmuslim maybe, and this is something I thought of as well for I'm also having some health issues going on. However, I'm definitely sure that there are more benefits that we can't see or understand. Allah knows best. And may Allah bless you too!

This is an amazing masjid that I had the privilege to offer my prayers in. The other masjid outside by the airport is more historic and equally beautiful.
Such a cute neighborhood masjid in Larnaca! Alhamdulillah. I'm glad you were able to boost your iman by attending the congressional prayer. Masjids are homes of and for the believers; being in them feels natural and effortless. Jazakallah khair for sharing, brother Rauno! 🙂🕌
Wa iyyaaki and yes, it's really amazing how just being in a masjid can make you feel completely different and give you the peace that is hard to find elsewhere.
Praying 🤲 in mosque really makes different emotionally as I have some health issues As well but Alhamdulillah I am feeling better almost normal now as you said praying in masjid really helps a lot may Allah give you shifah my brother
Ameen! Sorry to hear you're also going through some health issues but glad that you're feeling better now. And yes, praying in a masjid really makes one feel better
Assalama alaikum. Alhamdulillah! Its really nice to know that despite your health issues, you try to find ways to feel at peace. Pls try to be in the mosque as much as you can before you get back home cos there, you will find little of such kind of experience. And remeber though Allah is testing you, He has not forsaken you. He provides you with avenues where you can get khushu'u. I pray for Allah to bless you good health and bless you with a good companion so you can find more peace and happiness in your life.
Wa alaikum assalam! Thank you so much and yes you're right, after going back to Estonia I will be living far from any mosque or Islamic centre so I will have to think about some ways to help my Iman.
Yeah I guess everyone has seen photos of cats in the mosques of Turkey, probably there are even more there than here in Cyprus. The ones here seem to be more shy though, so far only one has let me pet them and even that was very brief.
I didn't see any niqabi sisters there myself but according to law Islamic face covers are not banned there (at least based on a document from 2018 that I came across)
im pretty sure you can wear a niqab in the north (i wouldnt even attempt it in the south, i would advise you not to even step foot on the greek side of the island. it is not safe for a muslims, especially sisters. there are far right groups like ELAM and golden dawn there who vandalise mosques. also there was a turkish woman who was recently beaten on the greek side by a man), but just keep it in mind there will be many people in the north who will not react very well to seeing a niqabi unfortunately, turkish cypriots are generally very secular people and many are not muslims. this is coming from a turkish cypriot revert btw.
Northern Cyprus would definitely better for a Muslim. But personally I'd say Turkey for example is much better for a Muslim and can be said that it's actually a Muslim country
@@nordicmuslimI totally agree with you as a turkish cypriot muslim revert, people are not very religious in cyprus which is sad to see, this is why I feel a stronger attachment to my motherland turkey.

In the 1900s but from the ottomon time it was in the Muslims hands👍🏽
if it is christian land like you say then come and take it from us and fulfil your empty words.
