This is a joyous and liberating video. The notions of managing time, pursuing what matters to you, not caring about what others think about your decision, making continuous learning a priority and removing the perceived shackles of spending is powerful. Well done. Spread the word.
The frugality thing, to find a bargain, is a game for me. I get satisfaction from the process. The trick is loosening up with others, particularly your spouse if they don’t share the art of finding the deal.
I think we are all strange in a way Azul. I agree with all your points you have raised. Retiring early is a great thing, I am glad I retired 2 years ago at 56. I am currently slow travelling around the world. Enjoy your retirement and love the videos.
your 5 are similar to what other recent retirees have told me, Azul. belated congrats on your early retirement, btw. hopefully I'll be able to do likewise in a few years.
From $10,000 to $76,000 that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me. I now have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
Day trading is the best way of making money in the market due to lack of experience which resulted in loosing funds... But mr josh olfert , restored hope hes a good man
This is the only reason you need: “Mark Zuckerberg told staff Tuesday that Meta would make “more extensive performance-based cuts.” I.E., your employer doesn’t care about you or your family, just greed. I think everyone should quit en masse and stop making mortgage payments, rent, and car payments and see what tune Wall Street sings?
I retired in May ‘18. When I began the job (‘95), I bought a new watch. I’m not kidding about this. The watch died several days before I retired. I’ve never worn one since.
Value is always a part of the equation regardless of cost. If a 15 dollar item is 35 dollars I won't buy it yet the 35 dollars is a mere pittance in my world.
Excellently video btw ! I think most Americans find it hard to retire comfortably amid economy downtrend. Some have close to nothing going into retirement, my question is, will you pay off mortgage as a near-retiree, or spread money for cashflow, to afford lifestyle after retirement?
Agreed, the role of advisors can only be overlooked, but not denied. I remember in early 2020, during covid-outbreak, my portfolio worth around 300k took a slight fall, apparently due to the pandemic crash, at once I consulted an advisor in order to avoid panic-selling. As of today, my account has yielded big fat yields, and leverages on 7-figure, only cos I delegate my excesses right.
@@Jeffcraparo this is huge! mind if I look up the advisr that guides you please? only invest in my 401k through my employer for now, but enthused about diversifying my investments for a prosperous financial future
My CFA ANNETTE MARIE HOLT a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further... She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market..

Years ago when a left a job to go to another company, a coworker said she thought I was a lifer. I wish I thought to say I got off early on good behavior. I just announced my pending retirement at 62. I will use 5hat tesponse
Thanks for sharing. 👍I’m interested to see how one’s priorities can evolve when exposed to having the freedoms and responsibilities of retirement. Best wishes on yours!
I used to think that the yearn to learn is a good thing to develop. Now that I'm older, I realize Curiosity is a Gift of the genes. Some are born with this gift. Most are not.
I have been retired for five years now. Although I've been adhering to the 4% rule, things are challenging as I did not anticipate. 30% of the $600K I invested in st0cks is lost to the market. How can I diversify my portfolio for retirement
Now you are retired and depend on your investment, it’s best you redistribute your capital. To simplify the process, you could allocate your resources with the help of a financial advisor.

This is really nice. I worry that I have a couple more years before retirement, and I want to switch to using a financial advisor, I could really use the expertise of this advsors.
I'm having trouble spending what we've budgeted as well. Though my spending has always been bursty. I'll go months hardly spending a dime on anything other than the basics then see a shiny toy that I want. I never buy toys on credit though and never toys that would strain the budget or don't really want that badly.
I agree. I've been into Astronomy for about 40 years. The only down side is that all that astro equipment can get really expensive really fast when you get hooked on it. For those of us retiring on a budget, we have to be careful with hobbies.
"Keeping up with the Jones's"?? Those are the "Jones People" I always avoided my entire Life and Always Will! Learning is my Passion in retirement. When you NOW have the TIME... learning something new is AMAZING. (no matter how simple). BUT: Getting a deal... sorry Azul. It is a Fun Hobby for me! Unless TIME becomes more important than saving a few $'s. Good video... Again.
Azul the fisherman! Awesome! I just retired 4.5 months ago. Before taking a job at a local chemical plant, I fished the professional bass fishing tour. I retired in August pretty much unplanned. I had been working 72 to 84 hours a week for at least the previous 5 years. I felt that it, along with the ehm's, were literally killing me. Anyway, if you are down around south Arkansas I would love to take you fishing. I love your channel, advice, and positivity.
I feel you on the effort to try to spend x amount of dollars. Because this year 2025 I am trying to do that very same thing and at 14th of the month i have spent 21.23% of my goal for the month. Not doing well but it is above my 2nd most expensive month for 2024. 😂😂😂
That sure looks like lower Broadway. I worked down there for way too long. Made a lot of rich people richer. Not me. Sigh... But Azul's advice is helpful.
Azul, if you have an active RUclips channel, you aren't retired! How many hours a week do you spend on your RUclips channel? Maintaining a RUclips channel is a job. You are self-employed but it's still a job. You could, however, say that you are "semi-retired" if are working something like 20 hours per week.
One of the most brillian investing advice i have ever gotten on youtube came from watching an interview with Julianne Iwersen Niemann. Indeed, A solid investment strategy is like a well-planted tree-it can withstand storms and still grow strong
I know this lady you just mentioned. Julianne Iwersen Niemann is a portfolio manager and investment advisor. She gained recognition as an employee of neuberger berman; a renowned investor she is. Julianne Iwersen Niemann has demonstrated expertise in investment strategies and has been involved in managing portfolios and providing guidance to clients.
I've stuck with ''Julianne Iwersen Niemann" for some years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She's quite known in her field, look her up
I appreciate this. After curiously searching her name online and reviewing her credentials, I'm quite impressed. I've contacted her as I could use all the help I can get
Axul is retired from his lifetime career not from life! Jesus, h can do all of these things like the YT channel jut bc. Not as a career. He calls all the shots. Good for him. He is technically retired not shut down like the looser retirees.
I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 385K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% annually in dividend returns. any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks or Crypto will be appreciated

I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $200k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my finances remain secure. So I really don't blame people who panic.

I sure do enjoy your videos. 8 days from retirement. 68 years old, worked 50 years, scared to death! Thanks for the encouragement.
I wouldn't count you as retired. You make dozens of videos a month, which must be equivalent to a full-time job - hours wise. Keep up the good work!
I retired last June about 9 months earlier than I had planned mostly due to your videos. I am thoroughly enjoying retirement. Thank you.

I agree. He did say 3 1/2 months ago. Not 100% sure on that.
