    This is such a wicked little setup! Small cameras taking over the world!

    Sony a7iv comes stock on 2.4ghz band but almost all video transmission systems I know of are 5ghz, sony added 5ghz to the a7iv (no idea why it's not on by default) and when I switched to it the imaging edge app latency and connection got way better. Give it a try if you haven't already.

    Are you going to do a THANOS SE vs THANOS PRO II comparison? I'd love to see that.

    Great video. I just picked this item up today. I'm thinking it may be a faulty model... No matter how loose I make the 2 knobs on the arm, both segments still point upward. I can push them down with some force, but then they pop right back up. Am I doing something wrong, or does it sound like I may have gotten a dud and need to return?

    Thank you for the great review video - I’ve been watching your videos for a while and they have def helped me figure out what gear to buy. I have a question though: why did you make the decision to not show us any of the shots this support system can produce?

    with camera stabilization and the z-axis of the arm can you get some smooth pan shots without the gimbal if the camera was like just connected to a small monopod

    What are the barn door ND filter you have on the camera? I've been looking for one but never know which one to go with.

    Doesn’t seem like my thanos pro 2 or X vest would be compatible with this spring arm huh?

    What's the ring diameter? Can I fit my monopod in it? Thanks.

    What is your oppinion on using this thanos-gimbal-dslr setup for longer 2-3h forest hikes? Is it too heavy for hiking?

    • @JasonMorrisphotocinema
      @JasonMorrisphotocinema  2 года назад

      Depends on the grade of the hike. It will be okay if you’re fit. Definitely takes a lot off the arms

    The only question is, when you use an arm like this, how do you operate the gimbal?

    • @JasonMorrisphotocinema
      @JasonMorrisphotocinema  2 года назад

      Under sling is my favourite. But controlling the gimbal is as normal but with support

    I love your videos, but this is one of the worst supporting vests ever designed. I used it for only ONE day using a 6kg/15lbs rig (BMPCC 6K, RS2, Sigma 18-35) and the vertical angle adjusting knob does not tighten any more. The horizontal adjusting knob is already wearing out with metal specks shedding off every time it is adjusted. Everything else you said about this vest was correct, but you should have first conducted stress tests on the knobs to verify the manufacturer’s claims. Some poor bloke will buy it based on your recommendation only to have his/her camera rig crashing down after the knobs suddenly fail. I wouldn’t suggest this support vest for any rig over 10lbs.

    Or say goodbye to your back with NO vertical stabilization or help AT ALL!
