I am an Indians fan, and Buckeyes, and Browns fan, Just The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and the Indians have the most royal fans in sports, so respectful
these are just classy guys and a classy baseball team...my goodness
What an amazing reception, not just from the team and organization, but by the fans. These stories are so touching, and I love how they make the stories about the kids so heroic. The pain some of these kids face is worse than many of us could possibly imagine. I hope this boy is doing well today.
I love all of the My Wish pieces ESPN has done over the years, but this one is still my favorite.

Along with Grady and Victor, I also saw Casey Blake and Jamey Carroll in the video. All of them seem like classy guys- glad the Indians had them. John Adams is a great guy- I remember he let one of my classmates bang his drum when my 8th. Grade class went to the Jake for a field trip. Go Tribe! Go Alonso!

This is amazing because I am a make a wish kid my wish was Disney World
My nephew was born with partial heart and in backward. As an newborn he had a couple open heart surgery and later as a toddler due to arteries not connected to the lungs correctly. Not expected to live a long life. around the age of 7 MAKE A WISH brought him to the Cleveland Indians and he met his favorite player. My nephew continue to have difficulties and further surgeries (a total of 6 open hearts) He was put on the list for a transplant at the age of 19 a few months later he became severely compromised and was admitted to the 'Cleveland Clinic. He knew he would be there until he got a heart or die. His grandmother learned that his favorite player (no longer with the Indians) was returning to play against Cleveland --She wrote to the Cleveland Indians and reminded them what happened about 12 yrs previously. I don't remember the players name, however; he remembered him and called at the Cleveland Clinic, I saw my nephew the day after with a huge smile on his face, One month later a heart was available and after about a couple months of his body getting use to a full working heart he was discharged He is currently doing very well and I am still Thankful to MAKE A WISH and the Cleveland Indian team;
He had the heart transplant a month later after the call. This was about 7 years ago now
