This is Andrew’s mom. My sweet Andrew passed on January 7. He is rejoicing with the angels now. Please pray for him. This MAKE A WISH was a huge highlight of his life ❤️ We will never forget how kind Tedy Bruschi and the whole NE Patriots organization was and how wonderful the Make A Wish program is.
Hi Mrs.G I’m in miss brumfiel class and when we heard the news my heat dropped and when I saw this video I was bout to cry by the way my name is Avianah.
This might be the best Make-A-Wish I've ever seen. Bruschi seems like a genuine guy that actually cares. Andrew's father served in Iraq and seeing him get teared up got me teared up. Best of luck in the future Andrew.
A Marine Officer, probably both loved and hated by his Marines, but to watch his lip quiver thinking about the pain his little boy had to endure... priceless. Thank you for your service, dad. Thank you for your openness, Bruschi.
Guys I go to school with Andrew he's doing good now, he's a really nice guy, he's in 11th grade now! We're both friends and I'm happy to see him better man.
Tedy Bruschi was one of my favourite football players, and this was just the sweetest and kindest things I have ever seen. As good a player as he was (HOF one day) he is a greater man.
Live right near him and i have met him in multiple occasions. Hes such a nice guy and hes done a lot for my town and my school. In my opinion he was the perfect patriot and perfect football player.
Because you are human, and you have emotions and these make us all feel like human are in fact descent, in hard time when people are cynical. I am with you. I never watch these with any one around lol.
These stories are all great especially when there is a similar medical bond between the child and his hero. But one of the risks of checking in on these shows 12 years on is knowing for some of these wish kids a full recovery is not in the cards. So sorry to hear that Andrew died recently. As someone who had seven brain surgeries by the time I was Andrew's age in this story, I completely connect with the pain, uncertainty and ultimately the lack of a healthy outcome for so many medically challenged kids. My thanks to this brave family for sharing their story then and even more so for publicly sharing their loss now.
Tedy Bruschi is my all time Favorite Hero, Gent and remarkable Human being, I have his Jersey on in my pic and still wear it today, Bless Tedy and Bless Andrew, brave young lad, from Massive Pats fan in UK, 🌹👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
I'm not a sports fan but watching these players with these kids pulls heartstrings and I now know why my mom, who died Jan 15th this year left some money to children's wish foundation of canada. God bless these guys.
Grown man here, still tearing-up watching this videos. Such class, generosity and respect shown by these sports stars to grant these kids their wishes. Raise a kid on sports, they'll have heroes for life. Those heroes always give back.
I love Tedy Bruschi. I almost wrote to him after my father had a devastating stroke. He was a life long Patriots fan....heck a fan of every Boston team. He passed away a few months later. Its been about 15 years and I still regret not writing that letter. I'm happy for the kid that he got to meet him.
These kids look up to all the athletes, but it's us people and the athletes who look up to these strong children who deal with the difficulties every day of their lives, but continue on with a smile!! Love seeing these kinda videos......
Though I am a boy I did have tears drop because I am so happy that the athletic stars actually do this for their fans who struggle to survive. People on the "My Wish" series deserve this!! 100%
And they both went through a lot. Teddy Bruschi also had a stroke in 2005 and started October 29, 2005 against Buffalo and played in most of the remaining games of that year and this kid Andrew had multiple heart surgeries and is playing soccer, a CONTACT sport. I'd say they are both fighters.
@@sauceelego519 There are many situations in soccer where players can collide or make contact while facing a defender or defending. im a Fullback and a midfielder.
Such an amazing story. I always shed tears. The difference between Tedy and others is that he is a great man who truly cares. The kid will never forget this day.
You choose a great role model son. Honor, integrity, he played the game the right way. And so do you my friend. God speed baby. Pat's nation is rooting for you. Nice job tedy. You've been my favorite Patriot from the day they drafted you. God speed to you too.
Tedy Bruschi was a "D" playmaker and captain. He also came back to play after a stroke. This is the stuff of legends I thought, then I saw this and it reminded me of the great man off field that he always has been too. This wicked cool kid got a dream day with his own hero Tedy Bruschi. Thanks to Make a Wish and Tedy Bruschi for this amazing day in one boys life. Bruschi really made a difference in one young life and that makes him a real hero in my book. Thanks Bruschi for being you.
You see, it’s guys like this is why I love football, and also I love the sport! But Teddy gave him a day he’ll never forget and actually what really would get me crying is if he gives him 1 of his 3 super bowl rings!
I love this video and I love how many people will come to help around many kids who have health problems by making their wish come true and being able to be happy in their life.
I will always remember Tedy Bruschi being a great, tough-nosed player, and now, so grateful to see his other side in this video. It would be great to see a follow up video with Andrew being an almost grownup teenager. Thanks to those who put this video together.
As my ID might suggest, I am not at all a Patriots fan. But this is beyond awesome, and Bruschi has had mad respect from me for years. It's Belicheat and Shady Brady that I can't stand. What an awesome thing to do for Andrew. Well played Tedy, well played sir.
Teddy Bruschi was always one of my favorite PATRIOTS players. After watching this... he sealed it. May God bless Teddy and Andrew. What a great video. I enjoyed it all. I was at the PATRIOTS game when Teddy Bruschi returned after the stroke. He walked the perimeter of the field and thanked the fans for the love and support. So many of us were crying happy tears with him. Today, July 6, 2019 I heard he had a stroke and left the hospital today. I had no idea. May God heal him again. Yes, GOD BLESS TEDDY AND ANDREW! Peace, and Prayers, Lynne 🏈
My prayers go out to you and your husband you have been blessed with such a spirit a child of God that has gone through so much that will bless both you and your husbands the smiles that he brings and the warmth and smiles he creates . You have a great that you have been given that God has blessed you with many more blessings to come .
Tedy Bruschi is the pro athelete I would want my son to want admire. Guy stayed with the same team his whole career. Was his own agent, and still lives in the community. He does a boatload for charity and is a great family man. Not to mention all his clutch plays during the years! "I think this is what they were looking for! They aint got it!"

Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. 🙏 Andrew touched many of our hearts in such a positive way. ❤️❤❤
Sorry for your loss. Sending prayers 🙏🙏 and positive thoughts your way
This is horrible news i'm so sorry for your loss
I am so very sorry to hear of this Cynthia. From the video above, he had so much love surrounding him. My deepest sympathies to you and your family💙
This might be the best Make-A-Wish I've ever seen. Bruschi seems like a genuine guy that actually cares. Andrew's father served in Iraq and seeing him get teared up got me teared up. Best of luck in the future Andrew.
100% right, Tony. Bruschi is nice and cares for Andrew like his son!

Why do I watch these, I just end up crying :) - I love when the stars do these things, it means so much for these kids!
I'm related to Tedy Bruschi and it made me even more upset
ZZBlue Comet but some of them do it for the wrong reasons but I still like it
What your upset for tedy, man you are strange piece of work.
Because you are human, and you have emotions and these make us all feel like human are in fact descent, in hard time when people are cynical. I am with you. I never watch these with any one around lol.
ZZBlue Comet - If I was a popular pro athlete, I would do this constantly. I would probably be in children’s hospitals more than anything.

I just love watching kids wishes dreams and they come true
Tedy Bruschi seems like such a great guy. He was very kind to that boy and seems very passionate.
I'm not a sports fan but watching these players with these kids pulls heartstrings and I now know why my mom, who died Jan 15th this year left some money to children's wish foundation of canada. God bless these guys.
I got to hang out with Tedy Bruschi tonight. Such a great guy in person as well.

Tedy Bruschi is so awesome!
MrMagicBanana we just have to look at your profile picture to know that. I think Edelman or Gronk or Brady are the best.
He suss
Wow Bruschi seems like a super good dude. He seemed generally happy and interested to be helping this kid out. good for him
This just makes me smile so big, my favorite team, and my favorite thing to watch.

From a Seahawks fan myself , Class act ... Patriots pulled it off well . Respect.
I am seahawk fan too and a big thumbs up too

when ever you think your life sucks look at a kid like this and be thankful that you don't have to go through something like this
Or your kid is healthy toojust think your blessed and your kid could be sick too and Thank God your kid is well and pray for the other kids
Collin B soccer isn't really supposed to be a contact sport. But mkay
Collin B - Sorry, although there is contact in soccer, it’s not considered a “contact sport,” like football.
Boy if you dont. They barely touch eating other and go flying 437375784 feet. Either way. Soccer is a cool sport.

I’m so sorry to anyone who’s child was diagnosed with something like this man... I pray for all their recoveries ❤️❤️❤️
One of a kind! Tedy Bruschi is the best! You can tell he is dead seriously enjoying his time with him.
I'm a grown ass man and this one had me getting the tissues. Way to go, Andrew and Tedy.
It’s so good that kids get to have this sort of thing happen to them after all they go through
