The Z and the Toyota 4Runner have this in common: They are aged platforms with sub-par interior accoutrements, but mechanically, they do what they were designed for.
I think it looks great, and the silver and black edition looks fantastic. Not worried about the lack of fancy infotainment, it has an aux port, so with a simple cable you just plug in your phone and away you go. I like it, and I think those wheels with the red line on the outer edge really "tie the room together". LOL.
This is the first video from you that I watched, for some reason I keep skipping them, I’m actually so happy I finally watch, you are very knowledgeable and funny, I’m tired of all other boring reviews, I love the humor congratulations and thanks 🙏
On point review! The Z line is a true pedigree and one of the most underrated cars out there, however, it’s a lifetime favourite for me. Ten flawless years and wonderful memories! Thanks for the great review 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
With my 2008, there are times I want to update the head unit w one that has Sat Radio, but then I drive and drive and don't really care. Making a 700 mile run to Vegas w a Katy Perry CD is 🍒 w me
I use an external Bluetooth to AUX or FM adapter. I just don't like touchscreens in cars because they're terrible to operate while driving (you have to look at them to find simple controls for AC or volume control). Using an adapter I can still use my phone for calls when I have to and get to use things like Spotify in the car, but don't have to deal with the touchscreen all the time. Sure, I need to use the phone to put on a playlist, but skipping songs or controlling the volume I can do with buttons without having to stop at the side of the road.
I own a 2002 350Z with six speed manual and Brembo brakes. I feel rewarded that you(Sarah) owned a Nissan 350Z and liked it. 😃 I'll never sell mine. ...oh and I put in a modern head unit. 😂😂
You nailed that review. I have a 2015 370Z Roadster. You are spot on with your comments about the car. I love driving the car, but miss the tech I have in other cars. Speaking of, if you ever want to review a Type R, come to Cleveland and drive mine. Keep up the great work on your videos. I really enjoy them.
I had a couple of Zs in my youth but my favorite was my 78 280ZX. I had the engine built with CanAm racing parts. It was the only inline 6 that I drive that held 9k RPM. It's pretty band was from 3000 to 6500RPM. It would destroy built V8s all day long
Great review. I really appreciate your honesty. You are so right about the radio. It would have been such a simple thing to do even a basic modern unit. Smh
@@edwardcramm5860 Jaime Sommers, the original Bionic Woman, drove a 280z that was/is HOT! I looked that ride up when the new 400Z teasers started to surface. I'm excited to see a new Z💨 on the road
I truly believe that a few years down the line when the 370z is no longer on sale they will be major collectors cars much like the S2000. Manual transmission, RWD, good curb-weight, lots of power, high revving NA motor and great reliability. There is a lot to love about the Z despite it's dated interior/technology.
Sarah your car reviews are always so great it reminds me a lot of the guys from Top Gear. I especially enjoyed the slow build-up to the bolstering test, when it finally happened I found I enjoyed it more. I love two tone cars I think they get noticed more. Great review Sarah it's an awesome one woman show.
Love that you are a “weird person” Sarah, love the humor... this is the only 370 review that examined the number of persons that fit in the hatch. Keep it up!
Z fan - I had a 1972 Datsun 240Z (Automatic- very rare) I do agree with you The way the Z drives is just fun. My Datsun had a CD player in it since it was A-tracks and Radios back when it was made.
Super cute, you matched your outfit in the intro to the car. That aside, I always love your videos, and look forward to hearing your thoughts and the fearlessness with which you attack your projects!
I love the assessment about the rear rim offset being 5mm too short. Either correct the offset, or widen the rim for a wider tire. Great job Sarah, way to go!!!
I was fortunate to purchase a 2018 Heritage 370Z last year. A Nissan executive program car with 4000 miles and a certified Nissan extended warranty. For 5K under the new 370Z price of $32,000 for a new 2019. And thats still the price for a 2020 base Z. So you get a 6sp stick, exedy performance clutch in a quick ( 0-60 5 seconds) 2 seat sports car that will pull .99Gs in a corner. I love mine, the best performance for the money and this is the last year. If you need electronics to be entertained this isn't the car for you. If you buy a car to drive it and can operate a Stick check it out.
The BRE Datsun 240Z that was wrecked in a race at Daytona is being rebuilt at the Z Car garage in San Jose CA. I saw it being hand painted and photographed there while I had my car in for service; it's a gorgeous car.
06:25 To give TI credit they did also design some pretty ground breaking nav/attack systems. Maybe this mode select screen looks familiar to former A-7 drivers or Tornado back-seaters!
I like old school cable operated parking brake instead of modern electronic actuator type . And the hood holder rod too instead of modern hood struts. Old school stuffs like that dont break.
Iv'e been following you Sarah, (hehehe) for over a year now and i'm still in the dark on the chassis but that bodywork is a world beater. I so wish i lived in Arizona.
Hi Sarah, great review...Thanks. I own a 2020 Sport. My wife and I agree with every comment. Still a awesome car and I wouldn’t trade it for the world....
I love my 350z so fun to drive... the interior is the same cheap stuff it’s always been. But like you said Sara it’s all about how you feel when you drive
I owned three different 350z cars in the mid 2000s. In fact that's how my family and I were selected for an article in Newsweek in 2003. I loved the 350z, so I was a bit disappointed when the 370z was released to find out that I no longer fit in the 370z. It was a tight fit in the 350z, but I fit. Loved your review of the 370z. Looking forward to the 400z (hopefully a bit bigger than the 370z).
I'd have gone for a red roof together with two wide offset white stripes bordered with pin stripes, a bit old skool but so is the car. The silver and black looks cool tho.
I think you should get a Z Sarah ! You wouldn't regret it. I love mine. I had the dealer turn off the ASE - active sound enhancement - took about 2 minutes to do. The hood, hatch, and doors are aluminum, that's why it felt so light.
It looks incredible!!! I'm looking for a 370Z, and have been debating between the std and the Nismo, but this is now in the mix. The only way to improve this video would have been you wearing a white skirt and red laces.
For me, the ultimate Z-car livery will always be (or look similar to) the red/white/blue scheme used by Newman-Sharp on a racing 240Z and later by Stillen on a 300ZX.
Reminds me about a "Harlekin" VW, where literally any part was painted different. For me just a removable orange and blue stripe (Gulf - colours) and a number badge where you can put in your birthday on the back ...
Another great review, Sarah. The Nissan Z-car has been outdated for many years. Don't know why; maybe because Nissan is in trouble, financially? This anniversary edition is really nice, though. Hopefully, they can launch a much improved 400Z? I enjoy the contrast between your work shop videos and your car reviews. Keep 'em coming.
Something I like about the 370Z is that it's a new, Mid-2000's vehicle; the end of an era (~1990 - mid/late 2000's) that many people lust after. The electronics are there but they aren't the end-all/be-all of the car. Enough to make the car reliable and efficient. Any aids (auto rev-match, etc) can be switch off with a button push and not a 2 minute pedal dance or inputting the Konami code 15 levels deep in the infotainment system. It's a brand new 90's/00's performance car without the worry of 6 previous neglectful owners. I know I'm probably in the small group that loves that the car hasn't changed much in the last decade. I think I would change the wheels and maybe add some blue to the livery. Maybe they didn't add the blue for trademark reasons?
"Starting with none other than the seats ..." then laugh all the way to " ... I'm such a f-----g weird person." Guess what? We love your like of weird. And, you pronounce Aluminium CORRECTLY. Awesome.
Aluminium isn’t correct in American English. That’s the European spelling and pronunciation. It’s aluminum here. There’s no specific “correct or incorrect” but aluminium is incorrect in America.

Sarah, on Amazon they have Bluetooth connectivities through the cigarette lighter. I kept my stock stereo in the S2000, put Rockford fosgates in there, and connected all through my phone with the $20 Amazon purchase.
BRE ruled during my high school years and led me to get my 72 510, 72 & 73 240Zs and my current 75 280Z. The paint scheme is OK and made the "meh" car look better. I agree Sarah, "tribute wheels" that replicated the American Racing wheels on the BRE 240Z race car would be nicer. On the other hand, I'm more curious and excited about the new 400Z...

Mybe the 70's Toyota Land Cruiser, Honda NSX 1st gen, Toyota Supra 4th gen, or the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34...gonna be the next japanese big hits on auctions in a near future.
While I’m not a fan of fake engine/exhaust sounds pumped in via the speakers, I understand why it’s done. Customers today want quiet cars so there is a lot of sound-deadening added to modern cars to remove wind, tire and other noises that people don’t want. All that sound-deadening also blocks out the noises enthusiasts want: engine and exhaust sound. Also, I actually like the wheels. Maybe if they were all black with the red stripe it would be better. Just lose the machines portion. Anyway, great vid once again. Thanks.

Great review, Sarah. The Z is becoming a forgotten sports coupe since nothing changes on it. They are well-loved and have to get modified to get the "beans." I love Z, light sports coupes are fun cars. I can't figure out why Nissan throws a few bucks the Z's way. But, the white/red paint job isn't a looker nor the wheels, too.
Yes the only way to enjoy a performance car is being out of traffic and find a place to stretch its legs, being stuck in traffic in a performance car is torture, “Sammy Hagar, I cant drive 55 “! Great review, yes must have a decent stereo!Really the car does more then drifting sideways wow lol !
The Z and the Toyota 4Runner have this in common: They are aged platforms with sub-par interior accoutrements, but mechanically, they do what they were designed for.

Sub par to somebody who is concerned about such things. Others have a different focus on what should be in a car and what should not be in a car.

Personally..... I'm not a fan of the livery. Nismo version is beautiful thou and the front bumper looks amazballs.
Great video Sara.
I'm in love with your personality and dry arse sense of humour.
Makes me giggle like a kid.
I love that Sarah has a red top to match the car
Great review, Sarah. The Z is becoming a forgotten sports coupe since nothing changes on it. They are well-loved and have to get modified to get the "beans." I love Z, light sports coupes are fun cars. I can't figure out why Nissan throws a few bucks the Z's way. But, the white/red paint job isn't a looker nor the wheels, too.
Like the new Garage Science Sarah!!!!
You’re AWESOME...LOVE your videos!!
I think I just found my new favorite RUclips channel.
