Thanks for hooking us up to Gladys, I specifically come to the comments to ask for her link 😊. Awesome look at Tokyo through your eyes, I wanna go there for the food 🥘 🍱 (I’m from New Zealand 🇳🇿)
Nile here from Cebu city i was the one who was next to u at Starbucks cafe Robinsons cebu earlier i was wearing dark green sleeveless amd shorts and pony tail hair 😍😍
I am Japanese, but since I have only been to Tokyo once, I really enjoyed this video. The 5-yen coin you picked up is called "goen-dama" in Japanese, and it has a very positive meaning in Japanese. When you happen to pick it up, it is considered to be very auspicious.
I’m stunned by how quiet and peaceful the streets are! The vending machines with hot coffee are amazing, why has the rest of the world not got these?! The coin with the hole is like the 25 peseta coin Spain had prior to the euro! Great content as always!
My brother , tokyo is amazing and tnx for bring us here with amazing video as always bro..i always enjoy with your tour bro ❤..! Take care and bless bro ! Nirosh
I can’t wait until I go to Tokyo. Thank you Chris for showing us and Greta video. I just found your channel and I’m watching this now and then Thailand soon and catch up on your other videos as much as I can. It’s very clean in Tokyo and the people there are very respectful.
The Japanese are so clean, I use to clean planes when they came in from overseas and the planes that came from Japan I’d walk on and they were spotless, all I had to do was empty the bins, if only all humans were this clean and respectful.
I watched all 50 minutes in 1 sitting. I always like these casual walking tours where you can see the surroundings. And yes, I've been to Tokyo a number of times and it's such a clean city.
I’ve always dreamed of visiting Japan because one of my passions are growing bonsai trees and the hot springs sushi. It seems like such a amazing place
When we were living in New Zealand, I ran someone's barber shop for a few years and we had cheaper prices for pensioners just like you saw it in Tokyo in this video. Same when we were living in the UK, haircuts were cheaper for the elderly.
The Tamachi area is where I used to live when I was in Japan. Damn, it is always nice to see those familiar places on YT since I haven't really had the chance to go back for a long time.
I did quite a lot of travelling when I was younger, now I enjoy seeing the world "by proxy" through your videos. I also love watching silent city walks or bike rides with just the street noises, especially of places I know and have visited in the past. Also, I personally prefer longer videos, 30 minutes or longer.
45:32 awesome video! Enjoy Tokyo! This is where I stayed for part of my trip in March/April. So cool you’re walking down the same street with the Hello Kitty fire extinguishers and the tiny shrine on the corner!
Welcome to Japan❤️ Tall buildings look very close, but in reality, they are surprisingly far away and difficult to reach. I had the exact same experience when I went to Tokyo Tower. Also, you're sadly missing out on that truck's delicious Japanese baked sweet potato‼︎ But I'm sure you would encounter other very delicious Japanese food and very cool things of Tokyo from now on.
Hi Chris and Gladys. Cath was in Japan for a wedding a few years back. She only spent a few days in Tokyo as travelled on to Sendai. Although she managed to do some visits to other areas she said her time there was too short but found it interesting and very different in many ways. We hope to return together so very interested in your Japan series. Love Gladys for her feelings towards the older generation. She is so right. Am sure you will enjoy Japan. Its fascinating, bizarre and beautiful. Thats Caths take anyway. ✌️ yeah watched to the end. 47+ mins 👌💯 Tokyo Tower
Just got back from my first trip to Tokyo and it exceeded every expectation. Hanging out in Harajuku and Akihabara were the pinnacle of people watching. Nightlife in Shibuya was amazing and stumbling across various beautiful green spaces and shrines was otherworldly. Learning to navigate a place like Shinjuku station was wild for someone with little mass transit experience but man it was convenient. Enjoy the trip!
It’s my dream to go to Asia! It’s always been fascinating to me. It’s like another planet but still so similar. I live in Wisconsin and I’ve always been under the impression seniors get a discount everywhere. Haircuts, gym membership, the zoo, etc… I was surprised you guys were shocked by that. I saw on another travel channel that they keep garbage bins down to a minimum because it’s rude to eat while walking. Also it’s considered rude to talk while walking. Have a great time in Tokyo! You both are so sweet! 🧡
Enjoyed the long vid w Gladys. I stayed in Tamachi and did the exact walk to the tower. My 1st meal was at the soba shop (25:20) and it was really good. Also, the grilled fish restaurant (12:30) is a must if you enjoy grilled fish w miso soup.
Welcome to Tokyo Chris & Gladys. I hope you are having an amazing time there. Haven’t seen Gladys on your videos for sometimes and I am happy to see her back on your vlog. Yes, She is nice and funny. I love watching her English Channel too. I will be visit Japan soon and hopefully will be able to go and visit the Tokyo Tower. Well, I wish you guys all the best and please stay safe.Looking forward for your next video. Cheers!
Thank you for visiting our country🇯🇵 But next time you should visit Kyushu Island. Food is cheaper and tastes much better. We also have many different types hot springs. I’m sure you will like it ❤
I watched the whole video in one sitting. I love your videos. One day I’m visit Tokyo it looks so peaceful and beautiful out there!! Hope you end up going back so we can see more!! I heard Okinawa is just as amazing too!!!
It reminds me of my stay in Tokyo in early 2000^s. My hotel was in the business area so it was not quiet at that time. I really like Gladys outfit. I like their wide streets and wide sidewalks. Back in Toronto, Canada, hectic life is the norm here with crowded streets and sidewalks. I am glad to see that both of you are relaxed in the quiet areas of Tokyo.
Great video Chris! Been to Japan twice while on active duty in the Army. Never got to visit Tokyo though, looking forward to the next video. Airborne all the way!
Thanks a lot bro! Dang man, I wish I would've had the chance to be stationed in a beautiful place like Japan! I was stuck just outside of Seattle for 4.5 years lmao
Japan is awesome and so different than other Asian countries. I have been fortunate to travel to Japan about 6 times in my business career and stay at a variety of cities and resorts. Thank you for your VLOG reminder. Enjoy big man with your better half, Gladys.

If you’re looking for a more raucous atmosphere for a night out, I recommend the area in the Ueno neighborhood called Ameyokocho. There are many bars closely packed together with tables outside, lots of people hanging out even on a weekday evening. Totally different atmosphere from the rest of the city.
Your videos are very helpful I’m going to Japan tomorrow thank you for for this long video helps a lot. Hope I run into you. I was in Cambodia 🇰🇭 for two weeks
Akihabara, harajuku, kyoto for sure to visiting but Japan famous for super small alley with small temple in there. You can get all items on vending machine like an umbrella, cigarette, banana, egg, etc…Japan has to many hidden secret places. 1 or 2 months not enough to explore Japan lol…
That's not vaping. Those actually e-cigarettes. Short cigarettes that uses a heating element through the usb powered device to heat up the cigarettes instead of using fire. They produced only very little smoke.
How cool dude, good to see you out in Asia again. I just love it there. I too trip out whenever I’m out in Taiwan or Japan and I see bikes out with no locks and people leaving their belongings out anywhere, I think were just traumatized from living in LA 😂. My wife says it’s a normal thing but I’m like hell no we gonna get jacked. We’ll take it easy dude wherever you may roam. Keep up the good content.
