Super helpful video for us novices.... more like this please. Like I didn't know less ballast as slower speed would = better wake. Just always thought ballast = wake size

JB, Any input on helmet vs no helmet on concussion safety? It seems that at the tow parks they require helmets, but when behind the boat you don’t typically wear one.

I think a helmet makes the crash worse, unless you hit your head on a solid object in my opinion

I am a beginner lol been on a board 8 times. How do I keep the rope tight? Every time I crash just before rope goes slack.

yeah, there was such a thing, it cracked on the water so much that the helmet was disassembled into its component parts and the head was buzzing
since then I don't take any more cheap left helmets

Great video definitely gonna need to buy some of that merch. I usually ride at 21.8 mph

All you have to do it... show up to Lake Austin with ten gallons of gas... wait to see JB pull up and see if you can hop a ride. Tell him to fill the ballast and kick up the speed! #Boosting!!!!!

every time boat season starts i feel scared a lot even of w2w jump, however, there is no other way than try to, that's what i tell myself usually

Definitely helpful. Can you do the same thing for taking this concept even further with trying new tricks with the wake surf rope at wake surf speeds?

  • @grabmatters

There's no rules with riding, we all need to remember that. If you can learn a bag of tricks at slower speeds and a shorter line, do it. Have fun and learn shit.

JB, noticed there is no more your sexy intros on new videos.
And if you could give a try to place ambient music while you are not talking 😅
