  • Civic Space is an inter-community initiative which aims to promote: mutual respect and parity of esteem; engagement in an environment that promotes constructive dialogue, listening and freedom of opinion; civic participation and the communication of civic values; challenge to sectarian asperity, homophobia, gendered behaviour and racism; issues of public concern that relate to economic, cultural and social injustice; constructive engagements that draw public attention to shared concerns that cross the community/constitutional divide; Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the "freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers" and protect and develop civic space and in so doing promote reconciliation and conflict transformation.
Civic Space sat down with people from pro-union community backgrounds and those who want and desire constitutional change to discuss the past and the future.
