There are many millions of Christians who read every kind of book under the sun. The tenets of Christianity do not prevent curiosity and invention, unless you're a Fundamentalist and you censor your own capabilities. Don't do that. Read what you like. Learn things expand your mind always

He's everywhere 🖤🖤 but having discernment is so important & I certainly have my own boundaries with things too - it's VITAL to pray about everything & live according to our convictions. thank you!!

Be careful sister. We must guard our hearts, minds, ears, eyes. We can't just go about reading or watching or being exposed to whatever we want. Does this glorify God? Would it be okay to do X, Y, Z if Jesus was next to us? We are to give account. Be careful to easily take advice from anyone. Even so called Christians. Go to the word, always check with God's word. If you read the Word, you know the truth and no one can deceit you. I pray God gives you discernment and wisdom 🤍 I pray He gives that to all of us.
@jl8805 we can absolutely read or watch whatever we want - but that doesn't mean it's *wise* to do so. I'm not saying to throw caution to the wind at all or that it doesn't matter what we consume - because it does for sure! I'm simply saying that it isn't sinful to read secular stories. you can learn from anything whether it's Christian or not (whether it's moral lessons or even biblical allegories). I have stated many many times to always have discernment & to put a book down if you feel convicted - I have done that several times. yes, we will give an account. & we also may have different convictions.
@chrisd8795 I have never recommended going with the main stream nor have I said it makes it okay to do something because it's what others do. I have *always* said to pray about it, have discernment, & put something down if you feel convicted. I am not in bondage because I read fiction books that are not inherently Christian - it is possible to learn through stories.

I'm sending you both a GIANT HUG for demonstrating your library shelves. I have been holding out setting up my office library because I was searching for the perfect book cases. The wall mounted shelves are brilliant!!! I NEVER thought of doing that with a nice low long cabinet below. I'm definitely doing this ASAP! I love you wrote scripture on the flooring. AND I love that you let your dogs be a part of your videos and for allowing them to come in close to you. The view behind your home is stunning. Your channel just popped up in my algorithm for the first time. What a breath of fresh air. We have similar book and style tastes which is what probably brings most people here. Just because I am a “moody” Christian these types of channels usually lead me to people practicing witchcraft which is just not something I’m into. Your makeover is lovely and inspiring.

thank you so much!! it's holding up great! we put the brackets into the wall studs where we could, & used anchors where we couldn't. so they're pretty sturdy!

That's the same exact couch I want and girl I felt that not on my artist salary😩Also love the scripture on the floor boards! As a pagan myself my sister and I drew protective sigils on our floors before redoing them! This came out so good and as a green lover myself, the green you chose for the accent wall is perfect 👌

I understand the feeling about *those* books. My solution (which may make some people very angry) was to redact those parts that did nothing for the plot lol. Made the story so much smoother!

I see honor and daughterhood in you speaking about your convictions over certain types of books. We’re all growing and it’s healthy to feel conviction. Im sure many ppl in the comments will say it’s fine to read whatever you want but don’t let their voice become louder than the Holy Spirit. Im an ex witch and many ppl who say “it’s ok” to read certain things have never practiced magick.. it’s not so entertaining when you’ve lived it.. so I find it beautiful that you’re willing to let go of things. Whatever the subject may be.
My main question I ask myself is, “can I see Jesus reading/watching this?”

Maybe get some flameless candles so you can get your same ambiance without worrying about your fur baby knocking them over accidentally. They are cheap on Amazon now! New subscriber! I've never seen books mounted on brackets and stacked like that. How did you anchor the bottom book onto the brackets? It looked like you were doing more than simply setting it on the brackets and stacking more books on top. You made the bracket disappear. It was like magic.
thank you!! i have a "short" on here showing the process! it's hard to explain, but basically I paper clipped the back cover to a few of the last pages, then slide the book onto the bracket, putting the bracket between the back cover & back pages. sorry it's hard to type out 😆 I hope it makes sense!

I dont know if it troubles you the way it troubles me but when I put my books up I always hate the bold colors and how they stood out, I ended up facing them inwards with the pages colors out because I still wanted to have the book on my shelf but thought it didnt match everything else. But there is a charm to seeing all the colors, just depends on your tastes
