Different game but same universe. It wouldn't get half the hate if it was its own universe. Each death in the game isn't realistic. It gets repetitive alway doing the same thing each time. I like how each character is different but when a game has barely any variety of monsters it gets repetitive.

It was the VAs last line before death sending him off in a meaningless way hurt the community.
Went back and tried Arkham Knight after hearing all the talk. While that game is pretty, the gameplay was terrible imo. Then I went back and played the more hated Gotham Knights and liked the combat 100% more since it was slower and you had to be more intentional with your moves. So to each their own. Often times the hate is going to be the loudest out there on the feed.

Man this game is so fun imo and extremely hilarious like stay mentioned. The hate feels extremely forced, and most of the people hating haven't even played it and only seen clips on twitter. The Story has it's problems and and repetitiveness but it is no where near a "bad game".

To counter the argument that arguably the best single player focused studio released this garbage for 70/100$ and hopes we spend money on skins. Are you people real? What exactly will you own when the servers go down in 6 months?
The problem with live service models taking over is that 90% of the time they are not like apex. They don't add enough content, they charge for all their dlcs, and it encourages less content at launch. This game also doesn't have pvp, Its like the avengers game, who's going to be playing it in a year? And if no one sticks with it, they stop releasing content, and then 2 years later it's just a half baked game no one plays

now that ive played this game, im annoyed at all the over reacted hate towards this game, im having so much fun playing it and ive encountered maybe two bugs and it was in small meaningless cutscenes but other than that its really fun to play and i honestly like the story. i hate when the internet just jump on the bandwagon when they havent even seen or played the game.
Personally, I had quite a bit of fun with it. The movement is great, the combat is good, the characters are fun. That being said, it has a lot of flaws. Especially the amount of repetitive missions, the sameness of the enemies, and the fact that new abilities or weapons are rarely exciting or change up the gameplay. The game is definitely better in single player, since you can change to a different character when you get a bit tired of one of the characters. I would say I definitely enjoyed it, but I can see if someone doesn't. Most of the hate is unjustified though, since it comes from all the people who just hate looter shooters in general, and have not actually played the game. They hear live service, and it already sucks to them. But anyway, I would say, wait for it to be on sale, I don't think it's worth 80 or even more for the deluxe version. But definitely if it becomes cheaper. EDIT: One thing I have to disagree is the fact that you say "They have to make their money somehow" to justify the live service aspect. Dude, the game already had cost me 110 Euros for the Deluxe version. This should have been free., if they want to sell us shit later. But whatever.

Glad to see someone in a positive tune of this game, I love the Arkham series and understand where people come from - Batman deserved a more respectful story. But, in a way I understand that the villains (maybe considered anti-heroes) would disrespect and make a mockery of those who bested their criminal attempts over the years like Flash and Batman. It takes place after the Arkham Games which is a bitter pill for some to even acknowledge - some even say this isn't canon for them, saying they'll go back to the Arkham series. I won't go into spoilers, but some details lead me to hope for the future of this DC universe going forward - even though I wish it was a single player games and cheaper at that. I will try this out even though I was taking the bitter pills during some scenes I watched. (One thing I didn't like the stereotypical take on an Aussie for Boomerang saying stuff we rarely say here, and one possibly good thing I may look forward to - Joker, not sure if I'll get used to this Joker variant, but I always wanted to play a game with him as a playable character) Thanks for this video, still on the fence. Stay, treat yourself and play Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, and then play this game and see what happens to the main protagonist of 3 great games get absolutely disrespected in this one. It's super tragic and regardless of gameplay I can't support a game that will abuse their best protagonist for absolutely no reason. The writing of the story is the biggest spit in the face to all Arkham fans and its so sad to see such a good studio brought so low.

However, in SSKTJL, we kill a version of Batman who's taken down all of his rogues gallery, along with hundreds of goons, in one night on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. This version of Batman is literally HIM and he just gets shot by a side villain that he has taken down with ease several times. It's dogshit writing, Arkham Batman would absolutely fucking destroy the Suicide Squad. And even then it wouldn't be so bad if Batman died a heroe's death like Wonder Woman did, but no they killed him like a sick dog and it's an absolute spit in the face to all Arkham fans. We don't need Arkham Batman in every Batman game, but when he is in it, HE IS FUCKING HIM and regardless of whatever stupid girl boss woke sjw bullshit they wanna pull, they must put some respect on one of the most beloved protagonists in gaming: The Arkham Batman
