      I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. She really didn't explain well enough. I usually love her tutorials but this isn't an easy pattern and she made it harder by not doing 2 sections so we know what to do next. She said to repeat row 1 so I assume the next section would be chain 4, skip 7, 2DC, Ch 2, 2DC. That's how I wrote the pattern. Now I'll try to see if I can actually crochet it. She is normally so good at explaining. I have never done the unfinished DC so it would have been nice if she explained it. This is not her normal tutorial. She went way too fast.

    I am just a tad confused, you said six chains at the end, however the written instructions below say nine. Also go in the seventh stitch from the hook? When you chain four you say count seven go into the next chain, correct, so the eighth chain?

    This is beautiful and I want to make it, but the numbers are wrong... I tried a sample of 20 + 6 and follow your instructions on the video, but it does not work, there is something wrong and I cannot figure out how to adjust it. Also it looks like the first time in the first row you skipped 7 chains and DC in the 8th, but the second time you skipped 6 chains ans DC in the 7th. It's confusing, such a pity, I have been looking forward to doing this. Can you please clarify? In particular, how many chains do I chain to begin with, if I want to repeat this pattern 3 times? Can you please at least give the pattern for the first row in this case? I can figure out the rest myself I think. Thanks!

    • @Lenysea
      @Lenysea  5 лет назад

      Finally figured it out: It's chain multiples of 20 + 9. 1st row: double crochet into 6th ch from the hook and then carry on with the rest of the instructions. It should work now.

    • @serinmammen3791
      @serinmammen3791 5 лет назад +2

      Start with 91 chains and the first double crochet on the eigth chain space that means you r skipping 7 chains like she said and after the first section of shell,dont do double crochet just repeat like 4chains on the top raw and skip seven chains on the bottom and do the three double crochet chain three space and again three double crochet and four chain space on the top raw and skip 7 chains in the bottom raw and do the shell part (which is two double crochet plus two double crochet)raw and do the repeat as in the vedeo( the leaf part) and do the shell part again ,everytime on the first basic raw skip seven chains and double crochet on the 8 th chain space and repeat four sections and at the end only make a one double crochet on the last third chain space and turn the work make three chain space and do shell crochet and pls follow the second raw exactly shawn in the vedeo u can make the beautiful shawl,good luck👍

    am i the only one having issue with the chain number? I just made 20+6 for a swatch before I aim to figure how to continue with more sections. however i do not have enough chain. i draw it on a piece of paper. i need 24+6 instead.
    what's a shame, i really wana give this pattern a try.

    • @Lenysea
      @Lenysea  5 лет назад +1

      I just double checked it. I have no idea why it didn't work for only one section. Anyway, for only 1 section you need 29 stitches.
      I will have to take a closer look and fix it. Meanwhile, my suggestion would be to chain a longer chain than you will need and work the pattern. Then undo the unused chain from the tail.

    • @iceyleeil
      @iceyleeil 5 лет назад

      @@Lenysea look forward in seeing a revise version of the wrap. probably doing at least 2sections repeat would be great.

    • @Lenysea
      @Lenysea  5 лет назад +1

      @@iceyleeil It's chain multiples of 20 + 9.
      1st row: double crochet into 6th ch from the hook and then carry on with the rest of the instructions. It should work now.
      I cannot re-film the same tutorial though...

    • @iceyleeil
      @iceyleeil 5 лет назад +1

      @@Lenysea i think ur right. it should be 20+9
      20 is the repeat section (1+7+1+3+1+7) 2dc,ch2,2dc (1) + skip 7 +3dc(1)+skip3+(3)+3dc (1)+skip 7
      then +6 is how many chains we skip from the beginning
      in the end +2(skip 2) +1dc =3 chains

      I agree this time you were too fast and I'm not a beginner. I create a written pattern while you chrochet. You are usually really great at explaining and you're not typically this fast. Especially with a pattern that's so detailed. It's not an easy pattern

    • @marinvanz.1924
      @marinvanz.1924 2 года назад

      Beautiful pattern, I crochet for quite a while, and I've seen many video's on YT. But if I may say so, you're going way to fast(I know we can slow that down) but also when you're doing stitches ( 2dc in same stitch) next dc in which? That kind of info is what I miss and hard to see because according to me, you have a plane to catch? I'm sorry, for me it's not a motivating video. And for beginners I think they will be very confusing.

    I'm confused, multiple of 20 isn't enough for the whole pattern. What's needed is the width of the edge + the middle leaf section. That's way more than 20, right? Then extra for the edge again, that might be 9 but I can't tell. If the sample was 2 patterns wide, it would be understandable. Beautiful pattern but it's so fast and confusing🤔🤔🤔🤔

    why am I having a problem with your count. As I can see, a chain of 20, plus 6 is total of 26. Counting your stitches with skip stitches equals 30. This cant work. Work in chain 7, skip 7, work chain 15, skip 3, work in 19, skip 7, work in 27, skip 2, work in last chain which is 30.
