My mom sewed when I was young, but I only picked it up again a few years ago as an adult. I wish I had stuck with it this entire time. I love this for you and your daughter!
Great to see sewing happening and especially with a kid !! My son learned sewing b4 my daughter did. He stuck with upholstery a she branched out into costumes!! Love it !! Thank you
I give you credit where credit is due: I could never learn to sew with a kid also wanting to learn. I could do basic teaching after I learnt but not same time lol
Good job! Now teach yourselves that when pinning you don’t lift the fabric off the table. You do this by grabbing all the layers of fabric with just the pin & not your hands. When you lift with your hand underneath it distorts the bottom layers & moves the pattern piece (when you get to using tissue paper pattern pieces). I’ve been sewing since middle school around 55 yrs & I can still remember my aunt smacking my hand with the yardstick when I didn’t do it the right way - lol. Not that I’m suggesting that of course but it’s a technique that takes a lil bit of practice. Have fun together bc sewing is a lost art

This is awesome!! Great job to both of you!! 🤍✨
Thank you!! 😁
Learning is fun. If you slide the machine a little closer to the edge of the table, it will be easier on the neck and shoulders.
