The Volkswagen Caravelle is the luxury transport in van form but is it any good?
Prices quoted are Irish prices and include over 21,000 euro of Vehicle Registration Tax VRT

I used to own a 2006 VW Caravelle. Bought it at 3yrs old and kept it for 3yrs.
what an amazing car it was. Trips to France and the UK were a breeze in it. It was a really good car to drive. Mine was a 2.5 and I had it tuned and also the DPF removed. Amazing power and torque in it. Pulled out 1tonne caravan like it wasn't even there.
Unfortunately it was the running costs that was the worst thing about it. Road tax was costing over €1,000 per year. Best fuel economy I was getting was around 38mpg and would drop to around 28mpg running fast on the motorway.
But it's a car I still kind of miss to be honest.
this and the V-Class are truly something luxurious

Get into a new Honda Odyssey. ..sticker price $38,000. has everything the vw has and more.Then decided which is better. Who the hell is running VW? with deisel gate still smarting, they are gonna pawn off a $35,000 van at nearly 3x the price? Hey, somebody tell them i gotta bridge in Brooklyn to sell them.....
truck guy fiftynine that's normal for Ireland. mustangs went on sale here for the 1st time in 2016. €72,000 for the V8. if you buy elsewhere the govt will tax you when you import.

Does it have as much space for luggage? Cause that seems to be the main issue with most 7 seaters, they dont have any boot space
