Sometimes when I watch F1, I mute the sound on my television and start an old replay of a race from this era on my phone, and pretend this is the sound the cars on my television. But most of the time I start to cry because I know it’s never gonna be like that and I just can’t handle it and I stop the video and unmute my television. It’s just so sad ☹️

@@notorioushkm97 no it wont, the entire engine would change, look at how a modern engine is build. The exhaust gasses are routed completely differently, which immensely impacts sound.
it would be as heavy as the modern cars though and it wasnt build for that weight, it would honestly just ruin the car imo
The Mercedes W11 is exactly like the F2004, that will probably Lewis' last ever championship winning car same as the F2004 for Michael Schumacher. And both cars are for their 7th title, and both are incredibly fast to their own respective grid. Amazing

The W11 sounds nothing like this Ferrari in 04. W11 is heavier,uglier with a stupid rainbow nation V6. Miss when F1 was a proper sport with no Halos and emotional drivers who wear extra jewellery to prove a point.

Best time on this track by someone using the F2004 is a 4:44. Pretty ridiculous.

Sunday morning. Speedvision. Volume up! Schumacher, Hakkinen, Alonso, Button, Barrichello, Frentzen, Coulthard, etc., about to renew hostilities. As much as I appreciate Hamilton and Verstappen's accomplishments and the tech advances, the current crop of F1 machines pales in comparison to this experience. Thank you for sharing.

There's no need of cancel a lap for track limits if around the track there are only grass and gravel.

F1 has raced in the Nordschleife before but they ultimately stopped racing there when Niki Lauda suffered a nearly fatal crash

@@tevelisao_bryeah. It was a wonder he survived really. At the time the incident caused many other drivers to start driving without their seatbelt on. The idea is that they felt safer to be thrown from the car in a crash than trapped inside the cockpit if it were to set fire like Lauda's did.

A few days ago, I saw the 2004 bmw f1 car with ralf schuhmacher as a driver in Spielberg, Grandprix of Austria 2022. It was a funevent (It was a pre-event before the actual race) with other old f1 cars also… he drove a 1:07 time and that was the third fastest time on that day!! He was faster than sainz with an 18 years old car😂 Crazy!
For the people wondering why it was faster than the lap times when they raced the 2004 cars
It was fitted with modern slicks, they normally ran these cars with a few grooves (3 or 4 I believe)

A little bird spoke to me that this car scream more than you while you bite your tonge while eating your favorite food.
My best on this track with the same car is 4:49.7, and it took me quite a while to get there. You should definitely lower the downforce, you'll see a great improvement

I recently aquired a Sim kit with VR and I am trying that circuit myself , the challenge is, it is very long and many corners are blind hence you need to memorise them. It is going to take months for me to make a lap like that. This circuit is endless with too many corners to remember. It is however like the Streif:" one hell of a ride"!
What set did u buy? Im interested in buying one as long as everything is included

It won't take you that long. I mean driving a lap like that might be a different story cause there might be talent involved. But remembering Nordschleife will take you a couple of days max.

It has nothing to do with gear ratios its the downforce that is slowing the car down on the straight
Some times going faster does not mean you are going fast around a track, that is probably the best setup for tge f2004 car around Nürburgring

The downforce doing his job at 0:51 to me one of the trickiest part of the track
The trickiest part of the most difficult track in the world. That says a lot. At full speed, you can't slow down or you lose downforce and probably oversteer so big balls required.

The Lotus Renault 97T is awesome in this track. Pretty challengin aswell, its more difficult to keep under control.

You could easlyi go 30 seconds faster with a SPA setup or a dedicated Nürburgring setup, that car is capable of at least 340 on straights
