First of all, it takes CAREFUL engineering; frame design, suspension and weight distribution. tire selection, a LOT of driver skill to elevate, make a full run and keep it running straight. Look at all the dozens of successful big lifts which have resulted in car being severely damaged or totaled 1/2 to 3/4 into a run. It takes the right prep and right skills...

hemi under class had the hemi in the rear pretty easy to wheel stand when the weight is on the rear, but this 68 cuda has the motor in the front. is this correct?

The orange wheelie car is a barracuda? I'm gettin old. I thought at first it was a dart swinger..I can look but did anyone catch the name of the guy? I have been around drag racing since I was 6 when the summer nationals came to Englishtown N.J. They all stayed at the HO-JO's up the hill from my house. The very first time I heard a funny car or TF engine I was out of bed looking out my window and I saw all the body's up...I was OUT! I met em all. This was 67 or so. The track opened in 65. I was involved in washing the cars, waxing, and even dumping oil in the woods...But I didn't know any better..When Don garlits or Ronnie Sox asks you to do something you didn't ask why. The little red wagon was always there. Then some time after they started the Snake VS Mongoose thing and they were there a lot for shows or events for money, The four engine cars, One was a Mustang and one was a wagon of some type but the did a burnout all the way down the track. Anyway, I just watched that car wheels up all the way down the 1/4 but unlike the red wagon which has an open floor and was steered with rear brakes I wonder how he kept such good control? Cool as all get out.

Thank you, No I did not..I just was watching some drag racing and came across this. Then I saw a canadian who just got in the Guiness book for it. Like I said I have been a fan for a long time but things have changed so dramatically but for safety, Yet they still at 1,000 feet are blowing times away. One of the things like nascar the NHRA does the points changing before the last what ten races? It's almost like the whole season was a waste. My hometown track is Atco Raceway 4 miles from my house next door town my friends and I used to sneak it every track meet for about 5 years we would ride our bicycles past the track hide them in the woods come in the rear of the quarter mile half over the gate the other half under best time of my life. Saw Jungle Jim set world record in the apeman car swinging on a vine plus he set the speed record on a wheelie great night I'll never forget

I get so pissed when anyone does good and people start rumors and talk shit and even when they stop talking?
The accomplishment is weakened. Not fair.
For instance, two people supposed to be bow tie drivers started that rumor.
He actually got checked and it cleared every legal hurdle. There were 2 cars that did get taken down for cheating though. Not sure if it was this year or the 2 before.
